Annie got married to Arjun against her family's wish yet her family was happy for her and supported her decision. Maan witnessed to see Arjun addressing Geet as di hence thought Geet to be Arjun's sister. So, by marrying Geet ,Maan can stay close to Annie and will happy to get married to his lady love. He is under misconception and he doesn't know Geet's true identity and reality. On seeing newspaper about Ms. Malik's engagement with Mr. Modi angered him as he thought Geet got engaged to someone else being after being claimed as his wife.
