First things first, a huge thank you, for updating so many parts together! An absolute treat!
No matter how much I praise your writing prowess, it is not enough to convey how amazing a writer you are! Your eye to detail, the way you narrate things so simplistically, making them so relatable, you infuse life into the story with your words. Please never stop writing.
Coming to this story, this is the closest to my heart out of all that I have read on this platform over the years. No kidding.
I am glad Tara decided to go with Dev. and gladder that Dev still loves Tara as much, his making note of her wish to fly like a bird. It assures me that things are still fine. I don't want Tara to suffer emotionally any further than she already does. Pammi is a typical mother-in-law, although annoying when she considers Tara as her rival and all, but hopefully she will be a bigger person when time demands. I love Dadi, it is always good to have a wise elderly person like her around in the family.
Coming to Meera and Ramanuja, I can only hope that they express themselves and share their feelings. I understand Ramanuja's hesitance, I am only banking on Meera to set things right between them by being more vocal about her love for him. I am not sure if she had tried earlier and was rebuked, but physical disability can also mentally cripple a person and at times like these, even a small help seems like charity and the helplessness and frustration only adds to it. Looks like Ramanuja is sort of coming to terms and trying to move on.
Although, it was sad to see Geet behaving so with her mother, for I totally resonate with Maan on this that they live for us and they do not deserve being cut-off, especially when they are ageing, it somehow gave Rano too a new perspective. As they say, parents learn from their children when they grow older, in this case too, Geet's words gave Rano the courage to stand for what is right and not live in the shadows of her husband or her father-in-law. I loved her letter, it reflected her conviction to fight for her daughter's well-being, come what may. Geet needs just this at this moment. The fact that she has people to fall back on.
On Maan and Geet, I tend to fall short of words when it comes to these two. They are so full of emotions, they are always brimming and need someone to express themselves to. Someone who is exclusively theirs, someone who understands them without judging, without any prejudices and accepts them for what they are. I am amazed at their camaraderie now. Who knew looking at them earlier that they would be at such ease around one another. Yes, it has taken them both a lot of effort, but the result will be worth it.
I am back to being super impressed with Maan. The way he has been initiating conversations with Geet, trying to know what is plaguing her, researching on depression and taking time out for her etc., has me falling for the guy all over again. Yes, I am a little, just a little disappointed in Geet, for maybe not noticing or considering his efforts or not taking much interest in him as he is in her, but that could be because she had tried earlier and was snubbed. But her frankness with him has surely pleased me. This is like a whole new side to her. Also Maan, he has become much more open, not just about his feelings, but even his playfulness, it seems unconsciously, he is revealing the real him to her, the side that maybe even he has not explored completely. I am not sure of his equation with Jasleen here, so I will safely assume that it is Geet who has managed to bring out this side of his.
The line, "He would mix her and his worlds so bad, it would be difficult to make out one from the other." had me. They are thinking on lines that they refuse to accept to themselves. They are starting to fall for each other, if not already there. The fact that Ayush's presence in Geet's life irked Maan is a good enough evidence. As for Geet, how can she not fall for her husband who comforts her so, who has gone to great lengths to look after her and support her. The way he consoles and assures her that he will not let her get lost, said a lot.
Even their small moments, like discussing the songs, or Geet asking him to make coffee, to her calling him for leaving the demerits field blank, to them saving their pictures on phone are profound, given where they come from.
I can never tire of saying this, I love this Maan and Geet. Thank you for exploring these characters to such depth.
So looking forward to Maan's reaction to Geet's confession. Please update soon.
