First off, Disha Patani from Dhoni as JD, perfect.. why didn't I think of her before?! She fits this role to the T.
Secondly, too many things in the updates, so overwhelming. Here are my views & deductions.
Geet telling about her situation at home, its only natural for parents to not take her seriously when she says her husband is a good guy, but she isn't interested in the marriage.
Stays in her in laws place, goes through his journals, feels a little more closer to Maan. Here, the charcoal painting she saw, was it like a sensuous real like painting of him and JD? These parts are the most painful for me to read in your story.. imagining Maan with his ex love.
Keeping it aside, her call to Maan sounded impulsive. And Maan sounded a little more aloof to me than the other times. She directly questions him abt his ex, good. Felt sad to see him still addressing JD as his beloved. Maan's behaviour is extremely confusing to me. Once he gives me a feeling that he's missing Geet a lot, thinking abt her words, her actions.. and once he is calling out to Jasleen in his inebriation, calling her "beloved, about trying to contact her. I've deduced she has left him for something overseas. First love, plus I think he was quite young still in college when he has his heart broken..so she'll remain special to him. But right now I feel Maan is at a conjecture where he is himself not sure of what he wants anymore.
He wanted to make this marriage work, so is he completely over her? Or does he still think she might return in his life? God this is so unsettling.. tangled thoughts all over.
Maan tells her No for staying in his home, is it because he somewhere wants to finish this ordeal , so that she comes back to him? As staying in his parents would only give her some more time to continue her facade. Just hoping.
Geet sees Nt-Dev in a very passionate position, seeing the desire in their eyes for each other has aroused uneasy feelings in her. May be thinking about Maan JD like that.. not sure.

So what I surmise is, Dadi knew Maan was coming, so made Geet wear his mom's saree so he'd see her in it. And he was obviously taken to his bedroom as no-one knows of their differences. He came, he slept next to her and THIS happened 😃 I have literally never been this happy before 😆 I hope I'm right though 😳
