"Would you like to have any drinks?" he asked. "Noo" told geet finally looking at him. Actually she is nervous and confused what to call him, by his name or something called "JI" and basically calling him "JI" doesn't suit neither of them so she decided to call by his name. "That day she talked non-stop and today what happened to her?" thought maan and smiled remembering their first meet in geet's room when their parents left them alone to talk.

Past in geet's room:

Maan sat on the couch and geet stood near the bed not even looking at maan. Geet don't want to dis-respect her dad at the same time she won't sacrifice her dreams. "Look I am directly coming to the point. I am not interested in this marriage, at least not now. I want to complete my studies and I want to become a successful doctor. So say no to this marriage. Is that clear?" told geet and looked at him finally, slight anger in his eyes. "Don't give those angry looks to me" she pointed her finger to him and "SAY NO" she ordered him. This time instead of getting angry he smiled little and nodded his head. She didn't give him any chance to speak. Maan opened the door and got down the steps. Geet too followed him and her heart is jumping in joy as he will say no. "Babaji, thank you very much. Now he will say no and everything will be back to normal" thought geet but to her utter shock he said yes. "Mujhe yeh rishta manjoor hai" told maan looking at geet with a smile. Every one broke into a huge smile except geet. She was beyond limits and very much angry on maan. How can he? Is the only question running in her mind.

"Maan, I think you talked everything to geet?" asked geet's father. "When she gave me chance to talk. She was bossing around me" thought maan and smiled again looking at geet. He chuckled inside seeing her red face; if looks would burn then he might have turned in ashes by now. "Yes uncle, I told everything to geet about what we discussed. She can happily join her college after marriage too and study how much she wants" told maan smiling at geet. When geet heard what he told, it took some time for her to understand what exactly he told. After coming back to reality, geet looked at maan surprisingly and the respect on her dad increased n-number of times. A small smile adored her lips. And when she thought what she just did few minutes back, she was embarrassed and not able to face anyone she left from there. Everyone thought she might be feeling shy, but only maan knew the reality why she went like that.

End of past

Whenever maan remembers that day, a smile adores his lips. In office he is typical arrogant and kadoos boss. Though he is friendly with his family, everyone respects him and never talk in loud tone in front of him. And here she dared to order him and even shouted on him. Geet, who is getting irritated on her own date, looked at him once again to blast him but saw him smiling. She got confused what is there to smile? Here she is hell bored and he is smiling "Why you are smiling?" asked geet. Maan composed himself and nodded in a no. "Nothing" told maan. "You are laughing at me right?" asked geet. "Obviously, other than you and me there is no one here" told maan. And her face is worth watching, she pouted like a small baby. And because of her milky white skin, her nose became red and it is visible. "Why you always tease me?" asked geet. "Because you look cute when you are angry" came an instant answer. Geet looked at him unbelievably. Maan, to avoid from embarrassment told "That day you didn't even give chance to talk to you and today why you are so silent" And now it's time for geet to be embarrassed. "Wo.. Actually i.. I am sorry for that day" apologized geet. "Hey it's totally fine, I understand your insecurities. But at least listen to others" told maan and laughed. "I have to practice listening to others, it's my habit or say hobby from childhood. First I will shout and then listen. I am telling you this beforehand so that in future you don't misunderstand me. And finally you talked something, from long I am thinking that you are giving some silent treatment to me for that day. And please if in future if you get angry on me don't give this silent treatment. It makes me feel that no one is there in this world and I am the only one left" geet completed her long speech and she thought she will get some answer from maan but again there is silence. When she finally looked at him deeply his eyes became little big in surprise. "What happened?" asked geet. "Do you need some water?" asked maan. Geet laughed out loud and nodded in a no.

"You know mom and that idiot raj warned not to talk much, but what should I do aadat se majboor" told geet, maan too didn't help but smile at her statement. "So you are a radio jockey" asked maan. "Sorry?" asked geet confused. "Ha, they too talk non-stop" cleared maan and both laughed heartily. "So you fight and talk a lot" asked maan folding his hands over his chest. "And I eat a lot too" told geet. "Ok, why you were so silent in the car" asked maan knowing she will give some funny answer again. "I thought you were in some maun vrat and I was so embarrassed that you saw me when I was fighting with my brother" told geet genuinely. "I expected" told maan. "Dinner?" asked maan, geet nodded for a yes. Now there is no awkwardness between them. They were talking as if they know each other from ages. Geet is saying everything about her college, friends and raj-geet fighting for silly things. Maan found her so cute and innocent at times, totally he is in love with his would-be already. He kept listening to her and she kept talking non-stop. They finished their dinner and it was already late. They both got up and walking towards exit. Maan stopped geet, "Geet" she looked at him. Maan took out a small box from his pocket and gave it to her. "For you" told maan. "But..." geet tried to protest him. "For me" geet couldn't deny his pleading tone and she took the gift. Maan cupped right cheek and told "Never change geet, always be smiling" told maan and smiled at her. His every word came from his heart and he really started loving her and her jovial nature. No one talked with him so openly, all are scared of his anger or his one look. He smiled when she smiled, his eyes twinkled in joy when she pouted. And maan himself don't know that he is such a good listener, he listened each and every thing she told. And not to forget he enjoyed their date. He was always rigid type, maybe she is the one who can change him. Maan dropped her to HM and he left to KM.

Maan reached KM and parked his car, a small smile on his lips is playing all the while. Vicky, who is waiting for him saw maan coming and was about to call him but backed off seeing his smile. He was actually tensed, he may be silent even on his date but his smile is saying something. "Finally someone came into his life who can bring out the cheerful maan" thought Vicky and left to his room feeling happy and contended. Maan changed and lied down on his bed. "How can someone talk so much, even if I try not more than 2-3 words come out of my mouth? She is such an antique piece" thought maan and smiled. His mind and heart is clouded with her thoughts. Thinking about his fianc he slept off.

On the other hand geet went to her room and changed into her night dress. She collapsed on the bed taking the gift with her. She smiled looking at it, first gift from her would-be. She closed her eyes and clutched the box to her chest. Geet slowly opened the packet and then opened the box. She found a pair of anklets in the box, she took them out and smiled when they made chun chun sound. Geet caressed those anklets and got up. She stretched forward her right leg and wore the anklet; she did the same with other leg. She got up and stood on the bed and is jumping like a small child to hear the sound of anklets again and again. She sat on the bed with a thud and laughed at her own act. She doesn't know why she is smiling and laughing so much today, but the reason is only maan. She is feeling so special after her date with maan. She doesn't know how she is going to manage her studies and marriage life but now she is sure she will be successful with maan beside her.Love, respect and admiration in his eyes for her made her confidence boost up. She felt she can trust on him for rest of her life, after her parents she felt safe with him. She was nervous to go with him on a date, but when she came to know that maan asked her parents for taking her on a date, she respected him. When he said her to be the same and not to change made her love him. As every parent, even geet's parents too were worried about her marriage. Even though they know about their family well they were worried how maan will take care of her and mostly she don't think what she does but by the time she realize it will be late. Today she felt he is one who can control and change her. He carries an aura which makes everyone respect him and admire him. Geet respects him, admires him and also loves him. Love, a new found feeling for her. She doesn't know why she loves him but she loves him deeply. May be because of his nature, his aura, his respect and love for her.

"I don't know what is happening with me today" thought geet and lied down on the bed to catch some sleep. She suddenly got up after few minutes and thought "I didn't even thank him for his beautiful gift" thought geet and slapped her forehead. She took her mobile and is about to call her but stopped. "Its mid-night, he might be sleeping" she thought and kept the mobile aside. "Hmmm I will call him tomorrow morning" she slept after some time.

Next day morning, maan got up and completed his routine. He took his mobile but kept it aside dropping the idea of calling geet. He wants to ask whether she liked the gift or not. But not wanting to disturb her in the morning, he didn't call her. But the second he kept the mobile aside it beeped. Maan immediately took the mobile and checked the message hoping it is from geet, but no it is from his secretary intimating him about the morning meeting. He felt sad and replied back her. After like 5 minutes his mobile again beeped, he thought again it is related to some office work. He checked the message uninterestedly, but when he saw the name his eyes twinkled and his lips curved into a small smile. "Good morning maan, sorry forgot to thank you yesterday for the gift. Thank you very much maan" geet messaged him. Seeing her message he felt so happy, his face broke into a wide smile.

Without wasting much time he too replied back. "Good morning geet, no need to thank me. Did you like it?" asked maan out of curiosity. Geet smiled widely seeing his reply and that too this soon, "Seems like he is waiting for my reply" thought geet and the feeling of maan waiting for her reply made her so happy. "I loved it very very much :D" replied geet. Maan immediately opened her message and his heart did a mini bhangra with the fact of geet liked his gift. He didn't reply after that. His mobile beeped again, "By the way what are you doing this early in the morning. I thought you will be sleeping" messaged geet. Maan checked time and its 7:30 am, "7:30 is early in the morning" thought maan shocked. "Geet, its 7:30 and I have to leave for important meeting in half an hour" replied maan. "Ya ya I know mom is shouting from half an hour, today is Monday and I am very lazy. How I wish every day is Sunday" replied geet. Maan want to bang his head somewhere, every day and Sunday. "Now be a good girl and get up, don't trouble aunty much" replied maan. Geet rolled her eyes and replied "You should support me but not my mom na maan. See even that kamina Raj is also sleeping but mom is shouting at me only, why me always?" Maan laughed at her complaints and replied "That's so sad. Ok what's your college timings" Maan didn't get reply, he waited for some time but didn't get. "May be she is getting ready" thought maan and went down. He had breakfast with his family, meanwhile his cell beeped 2 times but he didn't check as he is with his family and if Vicky come to know it is from geet then he will tease him all day.

After breakfast, maan got into his car and going to office. He then checked his mobile to see 2 replies from geet. "Sorry for late maan, I finished a mug of water on Raj" "10am to 3pm, such a boring timing na I know, I really very eagerly want to become a doctor" replied geet. "Poor raj, I pity him. Enjoy college geet, it's the best time in your life. After that you won't get time to enjoy and soon you will be busy with your life (wink)" replied maan. "You too enjoy maan, mom says whoever marry me their life will be a living hell and they needs patience to control me" replied geet laughing out loud. "Ok geet, will talk to you later" replied maan. "Ok maan, babye. Hey one second, if you are free today evening can we meet near our college" asked geet. Geet waited for the reply but it didn't come "Might be he is in meeting" Geet got ready for college and also waiting for maan's reply.

Fabulous update. I am already in love with this story just like maan and geet are falling in love with each other . Lovely maaneet moments and such a cute first date of maaneet 😛 😳 maan has started smiling and both have started interacting through messages. How romantic. eagerly waiting for more 😃
