PROLOGUE

CHAPTER 1

"Congratulations Miss Handa, you've just been selected as the new Business Accounting and Finance Lecturer by the panel of our institution. We look forward to welcome you tomorrow..."

BEEP!!!!!!!!

Geet couldn't believe her ears. Did she just get a job? Ever since she left her previous job 3 months earlier, she has been sitting at home idle. Velli!!! This had been her new nickname lately. It was not as if she wasn't trying but her lack of experience as a lecturer and young age somewhat acted against her. Previously she was working as a Trainee cum Assistant Accountant in an accounting firm. Having left there before completing her 3 years of training she couldn't work as a qualified accountant yet. Hence, her last resort was to try her luck at lecturing. Something was better than nothing after all.

Many times she cursed her previous boss but then as taught by her mother, she didn't stop being patient and finally she was being rewarded, well at least this is what it seemed to her.

"Congratulations Geet," she told herself as she kept her phone down before rushing out of her room to share the good news with her sister-like roommate- Pinky.

"Pinkyyy!!!!" Geet called out in a shrilling voice making Pinky drop the packet of chips she was munching on.

"What happened Geet? Itni zor se kyun chillayi?" Pinky said, " dekh na, you made me drop my packet of chips," she added sadly with a pout.

"Areh Pinky, chod na yaar. Main na tere liye aisi 10 aur packets laoongi," Geet told her with beaming eyes as she sat down in front of her.

But this left Pinky in concern.

Touching her bestie's forehead, she asked in concern:

"Geet are you okay? Kahin jobless hone Ki sadme mein tu pagal toh nahi huwi???"

Seeing Geet nodding her head in negative, she added as if she finally realised something:

"Did you win a lottery???"

"No Pinky, it's not like that. Actually I..." But she was cut by Pinky- the loudmouth as she fondly calls her.

"Toh phir paise kaise aayi tere pass? Itni mahine se toh Velli parhi hai and hum donon meri salary pe jeerahe hai. Toh phir???" She said questioningly lifting an eyebrow.

"Pinky, let me speak yaar" Geet finally said losing her patience.

Seeing Pinky pouting, she quickly added, "I got a job!!!,"

"Really Geet!!!,"

"Yes Pinky. I've been appointed as a lecturer."

"Wow Geet!!! This is so exciting! Matlab you will get to check out hotties, haan," Pinky said with a wink. "So lucky yaar," to which Geet simply shook her head.

Hey Babaji!!!

"Waise Geet, where will you be teaching, matlab what is the name of the institution?" Pinky asked after a while.

"Oh haan, I forgot to tell you. ABC School of Management and Accountancy."

"Acha Acha... What???" Pinky exclaimed.

"What what?" Geet asked

"Par Geet wahan pe toh... I mean... Woh..."

But this time it was Geet who cut her in between.

"I know lately there has been lots of robberies in that area, but chillaaax yaar, I will be fine," and with that Geet started moving away not wanting to hear Pinky.

"Oye Geet, listen to me," Pinky was fast to add but she simply received a wave and a bye in reply.

Now only your Babaji can help you Geet. Itne mahine baad tujhe Ek naukri mili Bhi toh kahan mili, Pinky told herself as she kept thinking about Geet's reaction the following day.

Geet tries 2 tell Pinky eventually succeeds!
