CHAPTER 12
ALL THE NAMES & PLACES ARE FICTITIOUS (if any resemblance to persons & places is purely coincidental). Location: KHURANA MANSION (KM)
Rajveer and whole family came out to bid Anjali bye. Major Rudra and Lieutenant Dheer were standing near Rajveer and Maan, whereas Anjali was approaching the Military jeep when suddenly three masked armed men barged in firing on security gaurds of Khurana Mansion.
Rudra and Dheer immediately surrounded Rajveer and Maan along with Maan's body gaurds. The armed men seeing their plan going astray were going to fire at Maan. Although Maan and Rajeev were far in terms of hearing what the armed men are asking from Rajveer but in terms of shooting they were at a point blank range! Anjali hearing the commotion outside came out of the jeep. Seeing Maan at the shooter's target range, Anjali came and stood in front of Maan saying, "Humare suhaag ko choone se pehle aapko humari laash se guzarna hoga!" (Before touching my husband you will have to cross over my dead body!)
"TUM!" The injured armed man exclaimed. Then gave order to other two, "Abduct this woman!"
But Anjali was a trained officer and she evaded from the grasp of armed men. The firing started, after massive firing Dheer, two of Maan's body gaurd and even one of the masked armed man was shot. But the armed men managed to escape with holding a struggling Anjali as a hostage making Rudra and Maan helpless to react. Maan ran behind the armed men but lost the abductor's vehicle and came back disappointed and furious. Maan took on his MSK role and called the Commissioner of Police. After seeing to the medical needs of Lieutenant Dheer and two of Maan's bodygaurds, Major Rudra Pratap Singh, Commissioner of Police, Rajveer and Maan gathered for a meeting in Rajveer's study.
Location: Dhabba on a Highway
The men forcibly carried Anjali in their vehicle, while she continously struggled but could not free herself. Unable to tame and calm Anjali finally one shooter aimed at Anjali and a shot rang out and then there was compete silence. After sometime they stopped outside the dhabba to attend to their injured companion but now they unmasked their faces as they didn't want any suspicion by other customers of the dhabba. They were none other than Rahul, Dev and Naintara. Rahul was the one injured.
"What should we do about this Captain Swarnanjali?" Dev asked looking at Anjali heaped at one corner of the van.
"In her present state she is not much of a threat to us." Naintara sneered evily. Both Naintara and Dev got off the van leaving injured Rahul and Anjali behind. Naintara and Dev had left to get food and medical supplies for Rahul. Seeing no one in the van, Rahul tried his lustful intensions on injured Anjali. But whatever strength she had left, Anjali with her full strength attacked injured Rahul making his hold weak and she escaped from his captivity. She ran out of the van stealthily, although she had escaped but she was hurt and weak but still she tried to run and save herself with tripping and falling on her way and finally quite far from the van she collapsed in an unconscious heap! After sometime when Naintara and Dev returned to the van, they found Anjali nowhere to be seen and Rahul bleeding more profusely than before, they understood that Anjali has escaped.
After tending to Rahul's medical needs, Nainatara got off the van in frustration, when she saw a group of village women passing by her when she said,"THERO!" (STOP!) Then started uncovering the face of every women one after another till one elderly aggressive woman said,"Oye chori, kya kare hai? Kisse dhundhe hai?" (Oh Girl! What are you doing? Who are you looking for?)
"Woh humari ek..."(Our one...)
"Naintara what are you doing? We need to take Rahul immediately to a doctor." Dev asked impatiently. Hearing Rahul's name Naintara immediately left in direction of Rahul.
A week later
Days were passing by but still there was still no news of Anjali. Then one day Commissioner of Police came to KC with a packet and wanted to meet Rajveer and Maan. RK was also present as he had come to India from England on some official visit. Rudra was also present as he had come to tell about the progress made by army regards finding whereabouts of Captain Swarnanjali Singh.
"Do you know who these clothes belong to?" Showing the four men present, a packet with girl's clothes.
"Yes its Anjali's. I mean Captain Swarnanjali Singh."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes these were the same clothes she was wearing when she was taken as hostage."
"In that case I regret to inform you that something serious has happened to Captain Swarnanjali Singh either she has been r***d & murdered(showing the blood stained dress) or just murdered and body disposed in the lake as we found these clothes on the bank of the lake! But we cannot be certain as her body has still not been found!"Commissioner Madhav Singh Ranawat concluded.
