Chapter 6

Another year passed Geet completed her 2nd year and was coming home she was very excited for this time as she made many new recordings but before she could leave her room her family's legal Adviser phoned her she wondered what the issue was , as she also knew they wanted her to work at their office during her vacations as a Paralegal but she just wanted to spend time with her Shamila Bhabhi . she knew once she gets to her 4th year she would have to work at a Law Firm or at the Court

receiving the call she was told to come straight to the Handa's Legal Teams Offices without letting anyone know about her arrival she also could not phone home Geet thought again her family is making some important announcement , she knew if Mr Oberoi says not to call her family it would be an instruction from her father and she had to abide by that .

Chapter 7

3 Days before

Jeet had spoken again to Radhika reminding her to get the trust accounts open so that he can deposit funds into them she agreed and told him she would go on Monday but than it struck her if Jeet could make the prior arrangement she would get the best service and knowing she is Mrs Jeet Handa the Banker would make sure she gets the extreme best investment policy and Trust account that would gain lots of Interest .

Jeet made the necessary appointments and he even spoke to his parents they wanted to be present as they too wanted to contribute a large amount to both Radhika and Sinam and asked Jeet to come with them to meet Radhika at the Bank

Jeet asked Quintin to accompany them but he made an excuse saying he needs to pick up his Fiance , As the Handas left Office Quintin phoned Radhika to convey his "Congratulations" and cut the call Radhika thought he is saying that because she'll have Investment Accounts and a Trust Fund

As the Limousine pulled out of the property and onto the highway a thundering explosion was heard ...after few hours of Emergency Units it was declared that the Handa Family died in a car explosion

Radhika would have never worried about the explosion that took the lives of her Husband and in laws but the fact that she did not get any money she only received a allowance of $100 000.00 per month but now she has lost her only way to receive extra funds and she also knew she was not named in the last will as an appointment was to be scheduled to add her name and Sinam into a Will , she knew the Oberoi Company would immediately seal all Handa Bank Accounts until the Detectives complete their Investigation , She was angry at Quintin , now she understands why he called and congratulated her but the arrangement made with Jeet never took place which angered her she only had her personal bank account she could still live a good life but the money will finish soon than what will she do

Radhika entered Handa Villa all drained and sad , depressed at the situation she was in , while the Detectives thought that she is sadden about the loss of her family but she was sadden due to lost of funds

Radika now had to play the widow the depressed soul , at the same time the news on the death of the Handa Family was Aired on all channels , both the Mehra Family and the Khurana family were in a state of shock but they also had to leave immediately for the Caribbean and pay their respects and to be with Radhika and Geet .

Daadima knew that Jeet had his first wife in Coma , she also had met Radhika at her wedding and felt she is very soft and Humble person she had only seen Geet's photo but wanted to be with her would be daughter in law too , Daadima wanted to be there in the Caribbean .

As The Khurana Family landed in Caribbean , Mr Oberoi had send his car to collect from the Airport and bring them directly to his house , he knew about the alliance between Geet and Maan that was fixed by the elders he wanted the Khurana family with Geet first before they head off to the Handa Villa .

Mr Oberoi introduced the Khurana's to Geet saying they very good friends to him and her late parents , Daadima and Maan on seeing Geet's condition they did not know how to comfort her but Daadima took the chance and went and sat next to Geet hugged and kissed her forehead and asked her how she was doing , Geet immediately reacted to Daadima's hug and burst into tears after a while when she calmed down a bit she asked "What wrong have I done to lose every member in my family , my Shamila Bhabhi is in a coma while I was never allowed to see my niece or play with her as Radhika Bhabhi kept me away from both the girls than my parents and my brother dies leaving me all alone "

Geet felt tightness in her throat , heaviness across her chest she felt hot flushes and trembled she was listless and lifeless at the same time both Maan and Daadima knew well what she was going through but they also knew everybody's grief differs to the relation they held with the person

Maan came forward and spoke to Mr Oberoi wanting Geet to hear what he went through when his parents and grandfather passed away , he looked at Geet once and moved closer so she could hear him and he said " Mr Oberoi Sir do you know I lost my parents and grandfather when I was at the age of 8 years old , losing parents is never easy no matter how old or young the child is the pain of not seeing them again not knowing what will happen the next minute without them , I suffered with horrible nightmares and sometimes while I was busy doing my homework it would feel like my parents are present many times I searched them thinking I've been bad and did something wrong and that is the reason they left me .

Losing my parents made me anchor-less it took away my confidence I felt that I was now different compared to the other kids . My Daadima had to bury her husband , her only son and daughter in law she cries silently till today but with smile for all the sweet memories she was blessed with however I'm not as blessed like many as I only had 8 years with them I can remember clearly only two years so I only have two years memories of my parents I sometimes fought with God and asked him could he not have taken my parents when I was much older but today right here right now I realize God taking my parents away in my young age just me more responsible towards my younger brother Vicky and my Daadima . today orphanages in India is funded through Khurana Contruction , I play a very important role in all the kids lives , I make sure that every child feels love and security , I spend my weekends in the orphanages with my little brothers and sisters , yes they have become my family too . I've realized that been an orphan myself I could relate to them and care for them I'm sure if my parents were alive I would have not even bothered about these orphanages so I believe God taking away my family was for a good reason and yes it was their time to leave this world "

Maan went on to say "Mr Oberoi Sir , Geet too lost her family but she too also has the responsibility of making sure her Shamila Bhabhi comes out of her coma , her parents and brother wanted her to complete her Juris Degree and now she must do it for them for herself so that they can be happy that their princess has accomplished , she has the Handa Law Firm to take control and make the Handa name proud ." Maan felt he may have went overboard with his talks but he wanted Geet to know that she did nothing wrong it was in her family's fate that they had died .

Geet sat quietly and listened to Maan she felt that maybe there is someone that can understand and maybe she can try and reach out for support but than again she does not know him the only person she used to reach out to was her Bhabhi but now even she is not with her , Geet felt it was worthless living if one has to go through this types of pain .

Geet uttered weakly "I have unresolved issues with Jeet Bhai and now they will never be sorted out , my Dad was my wisdom keeper now who would give me advise and wisdom , my mum would every Sunday morning make my breakfast with her own hands now if I go home and Sundays come my mum will not be there to pamper me"

She cried bitterly asking "Why God why my family , what wrong have I done to be punished in this way please I beg you God please only this one time just for few minutes I promise please just send them back please God I'll even give my life just to have few minutes with them "

Nobody had the courage to say anything , everyone's eyes was filled with tears seeing the painful and grievous state of Geet .

Geet looked up to Maan and said " you were fortunate that you had your Daadima to talk to , I have nobody "

Maan took a deep breath came to Geet and knelled down before her than he said" yes I had my Daadima but she too had just lost her family and I could not go to her with my pain because she would have not been able to bear her grandson's suffering , but Geet you do have your Shamila Bhabhi in hospital surely you can talk to her share your pains with her , you also have all of us we will not leave you alone ."

Geet than turned to Mr Oberoi and asked him when will be the funeral of her family as she now needs to go home , Radhika Bhabhi will not be able to handle everything on her own .
