CHAPTER 4
ALL THE NAMES & PLACES ARE FICTITIOUS(if any resemblance to persons & places is purely coincidental). Any royal titles, architectural terms,IT terms & programs, office hierachy, wedding rituals, etc. are from my imagination hence THEY ARE NOT TRUE. PLEASE DON'T BASH ME !!!!!
After Maan's speech, few workers were waiting to meet Maan regards the transfer issue. Maan asked Adi and Yash to scan all the applicants on individual basis! In the line of workers waiting was Geet as well. Maan wasn't happy seeing Geet surrounded by males! He asked Mr. Chopra to call her to his room. When Geet came in Mr. Chopra's room, Maan asked, "Ms. Singh why are you waiting in the worker's line?"
"Sir, you had announced if anyone has problem in going out of Manali for work?"
"Yes?"
"I do have problem working outside Manali! I cannot work in Delhi. It is a Private and Personal reason!"
"Can I ask the reason? Is it only working in Delhi or any part of the World?"
"Sir I cannot work outside Manali! I'm owner of GK Apple Orchards and was only working in Chopra Constructions, so that my education is not wasted. By God's Grace, I'm financially comfortable. I'm willing to resign if you would like to post here someone more qualified and who doesn't have travelling issues !"
"Thank you for informing me Ms. Singh! I'll keep it in mind!"
Once all the workers were dealt with. Maan called Adi and said, "Adi, get hold our most trusted and reliable Private Investigators (PI). I want to know everything about Geet by tonight!"
"Maan, aren't you being implusive!"
"No I'm not there has been something major happened in these six years. Please yaar!"
"Maan calm down. I'll at once call PI."
When Maan returned to Hotel Suite, Dadimaa excitedly showed Maan Geet's photo on her mobile. Maan was taken aback for a minute. "Chaudavi ka Chaand hai na! Aankhe chaundhiya gayi na? Kitni sundar hai!" (Your eyes are startled by her beauty! Isn't she gorgeous?)
"Dadimaa, aap..."
"Yeh ladki humne aap ke liye chunni hai. Iska naam Geetika Singh hai!" (I have selected this girl for you. Her name is Geetika Singh!)
"Magar..."
"Agar-magar kuch nahi, iss Thursday, hum iss ke ghar aap ke saath jaayenge!" (NO ifs & buts! You are coming with me to her home after this Thursday!)
"Yeh aap ko kahaan mili?" (Where did you find her?)
"Mandir mei! Issi ne toh hummei sachet(conscious) kiya tha apne ghar le jaa kar! Yeh GK Apple Orchards mei rehti hai! "(In the temple! She was the one who brought me back to consciousness. She lives in GK Apple Orchards!)"Geetika se hi toh aap ka phone par jhagda hua tha!" (It was Geetika who fought with you on phone!)
"Maan bhai, Nanimaa ki dhamakiyon se matt darreye. Agar aap ko pasand ho tabhi haan kahiyega! Nanimaa toh Geetikaji se humari shaadi karne ko bhi tyaar hain! Kyunki Nanimaa ko Geetikaji bahut pasand hain" (Maan bhai, please think carefully! Don't get scared of Nanimaa's threatening. She is ready to get me also married to Geetika if you don't agree! As Nanimaa likes Geetika a lot!)
"Hum Thursday ko Ms. Geetika Singh se milane jaayenge!" (We will go on Thursday to meet Ms. Geetika Singh.)
After talking to Maan in front of Mr. Chopra, Geet was getting negative vibes and decided to resign before Chopra Constructions become Khurana Constructions! She decided to work late in evenings before takeover is completed, and finish all pending reports! She was so busy in working that didn't see the time till a husky female voice spoke,"Raat ke dus baaj rahe hain, aur tumhe ghar nahin jaana?"(Its 10pm. don't you want to go home?)
"Bhabhi!" Geet went and hugged Sameera tightly.
"Geet yeh kya ho raha hai?" (Geet what is this happening?)
"Kya bhabhi?" (What bhabhi?)
Maan had forgotten Chopra's budget file of all projects and had come to take it when he saw a bright light in one of the rooms. He went near and overheard Geet and Sameera's converastion.
"Kal tum phir apne secret room mei soyi theen. Haan ki Naa?" (Yesterday you had slept in your secret room. Yes or No?)
"Haan!" (Yes!)
"Kyun?"(Why?)
"Bhabhi, mujhe der ho rahi hai. Chaliye ghar chalte hain, baaki kaam kal subah jaldi aake kar loongi!" (Bhabhi we are getting late! Lets go home! Rest of the work I'll come tomorrow early morning and complete!)
"Maan yahaan kaise hai?" (How is Maan here?)
"Maan Sir ne Chopra Sir ki company kharidi hai!" (Maan Sir has bought Chopra Sir's company.)
"Maan ne tumhe pehchana nahi?" (Maan didn't recognise you?)
"Mujhe nahin maloom!" (I don't know!)
"Maloom nahi ya batanaa nahi chahti?"(You don't know or don't want to tell?) Geet kept quite. "Geet, che saal ho gaye hain Maan se sach chupate. Tumhe nahi lagta ki usse sach bataa dena chahiye!" (It has been six years since you have hidden truth from Maan. Don't you think it is high time, you tell him the truth?)
"Main nahi chahti ki unki shaadi-shuda zindagi iss sach ke kaaran barbaad ho jaaye!" (I don't want his happily married life to be ruined by my truth!)
"Tumhe kaise maloom ki Maan ki shaadi ho gayi hai?"(How do you know that he is married?)
"Mujhe Sasha Ma'am ne bataaya hai!" (Sasha told me!)
"Tum uss jhooti aur dhokebaaz ladki ki baat maanti ho! Agar tum na hoti toh Maan aur Khurana Khandaan ki uss ladki ne toh apne boy-friend, Rahul ke saath dhajiyaan uraad deti!" (You believed that liar and fraud girl. If it was not for you Maan and Khurana family's reputation would be in tatters due to Sasha & her boy-friend,Rahul !)"Agar Maan ki shaadi hui hoti toh Arjun mujhe zarur bataate!"(If Maan was married, Arjun would have told me!)
"Arjun Veerji bahut saalon se Maan Sir se mile bhi nahi!" (Arjun Veerji has not met Maan Sir for long, how will he know?)
"Tumne aur Arjun ne toh Maan ko yeh bhi nahi bataaya ki tum dono bhai-bahen ho! Geet, Maan ko haq hai tumhare bacche ke baare mei jaan ne ka!" (Arjun and you have also not told Maan that you are brother & sister. Geet, Maan has a right to know about your child!)
"Bhabhi kaunsa baccha? Kaisa baccha? Mera Dhruv toh chalaa gaya! Mujhe akeli chodke!" Geet said breaking down in uncontrollable hysterical tears! (Bhabhi which child? Whose child? My Dhruv left me and went, leaving me all alone!)
Sameera cursed herself for reviving Geet's old wounds! "Bas Geet! Bas Geet! (Sameera was rubbing her back) Mujhe maaf kar de. Maine anjaane mei tere purane zakhm khured diye!" (Stop Geet! Please stop! I'm sorry for reviving your old wounds! Forgive me!)
"Bhabhi apko Arjun Veerji ki kasam aap Maan Sir ko sach nahi bataayengi!" (Sameera promise me, you will not tell truth to Maan Sir!)
"Theek hai! Mai vada karti hoon!"(I promise!)
Maan was frozen hearing the conversation. What truth was Sameera talking about? Where is Geet's child? How is Maan related to the child? Who is Dhruv? Why didn't Arjun introduce Geet as his sister? How will he find these answers?
