EPILOGUE 2
ALL THE NAMES & PLACES ARE FICTITIOUS (if any resemblance to persons & places is purely coincidental). Any royal titles, architectural terms,IT terms & programs, office hierachy, wedding rituals, etc. are from my imagination hence THEY ARE NOT TRUE. PLEASE DON'T BASH ME !!!!!
Next morning Geet regained her consciousness and asked for Maan. Nurse came out and called for Maan. Vicky said Maan is in washroom, but just then Maan came and nurse guided him to Cardiac ICU. Vicky was with Maan the whole night on Dadimaa's orders. Maan refused to go home leaving his Mishty alone in hospital, Dadimaa did not want Maan staying alone in his present emotional state, so it was decided that Vicky will spend night with Maan in hospital. Dadi went with Yash and Pari home. In the ICU, Maan went near Geet gently held her hand. Feeling Maan's touch, Geet slowly opened her eyes and said in a feeble voice, " Suniye! Aap..aur..Rishi bhaiya...theek hai na? Aur humara baccha?" (Maan, you and Rishi are fine? What about our baby?)
"Mishty, calm down! We both are fine. You have become mother of not one but twins. Your Ganpati has returned our Dhruv. Their names are Armaan and Akansha or Khushi!" Maan said softly.
"Aap ne unn dono ka naam meri pasand ke rakhe hain? Apni pasand ke nahin?" (You kept both names of my choice. What about your choice?)
"Tumhari pasand hi meri pasand hain!" (Your choice is my choice!)
Just then nurse came and said, "Sir time is up! You have to leave!"
"I want to see my children! Please bring my children to me! I want to see my children!I want to see my children! I want to see my children!" Geet was getting hyper, Matron quitely came and injected her with a sedative without Geet's knowing, thereby relaxing her & reducing her muttering, "I... want...to see...my...children!" Later that day, Armaan and Khushi were brought to ICU under strict supervision only Cardiac ICU nurse, Neonatal ICU nurse and Maan were there.
Maan had always heard about maternal instinct and bonding between mother and child. Geet was not allowed to get up so the nurse put first Armaan on Geet's right breast and the baby immediately started crying, although the cry was feeble but he cried and same was in Khushi's case! As they were premature they could not suckle from her breast as yet. Maan first time in these 24hrs. heard his children's cry moving him to tears!
Three months passed, both Geet and twins were on road to recovery! Yash and Pari decided to move to Manali for a year or so to settle the new branch of KC there! Twins filled KM with happiness and love. Twins gurgling laughter and cute smiles made everyones days full of life! Geet who was broken with Dhruv's demise was now super busy with no time to think! Hearing Maan's voice, Khushi would immediately stop crying. Armaan was very possessive for Geet. Whenever Maan would come near Geet, Armaan would start howling! One day both twins were sleeping in the living room next to Dadimaa and Meera. Maan and Vicky walked in, due to clumsiness Vicky dropped his office bag waking up the twins! Both started howling, Geet was in the shower. Maan picked up Khushi and she immediately stopped crying. Once Khushi quietened, he handed her to Dadimaa. Then he picked Armaan who started screaming louder in Maan's arms. Vicky, Meera, Nakul, Dulari and other servants tried but he was still howling. Finally Geet walked in with her hair still wet and tied in towel turban style. She picked Armaan, he quietened immediately! Maan came near Geet to remove her towel and Armaan started howling again. "Mai tum se keh raha tha Geet ki mai akela pitah hoonga jiska beta uss se jalta hai. Magar tum nahi maani. Kyun Vicky mai theek keh raha hoon na?" (I was telling you Geet, I'm the only father whose son is jealous of him. But you refuse to agree. Don't you think I'm right Vicky?)
"I am forced to agree with bhai!"
"Chup rahiye aap dono! Armaan sirf teen mahine ka hai, usse jalan kaise ho sakti hai? Woh sirf bhooka hai. Dekhiye! " Dadimaa showed the two brothers Geet feeding Armaan milk bottle. (Shut up both of you! Armaan is only three years old, how can he be jealous? He is just hungry. Look!)
Maan and Geet resumed their normal marital life! Maan would not leave Geet the whole night as he wanted to make up the 9 months of staying away from Geet. Children will not leave her during day, hence she became exhausted and was roaming like a zombie,finally she collapsed in the kitchen one day! Dadimaa had enough and gave orders. "Dulari, aaj se tum aur Deepak bacchon ko din mei sambhalogei. Maan aur Vicky, aap ek hafta office se chutti lekar bacchon ko raat mei dekhenge. Mai ek acchi aur reliable aaya dhoondti hoon!" (Dulari, Deepak and you will look after twins during the daytime. Maan and Vicky you take off for a week and look after them at night! I'll try and look for a good and reliable Nanny!)
"Kyun Dadimaa?" (Why?)
"Vicky, tum mei se kissi ko dekh nahi raha ki Geet is over worked and underslept plus she is a nursing mother!"
FIVE YEARS LATER
In these five years everyone loved, adored and spoiled the twins. Dadimaa and Geet were the only people trying to dicipline them! Yash and Pari also were blessed with a boy, Jai, who was 2 1/2 years old. Arjun and Sameera baby girl Suhaani, who was 2years old. In two days time, Vicky and Meera are to be married. Vicky was finally able to woo and propose to Meera! Geet was a great help to patch up misunderstandings between Vicky and Meera. Vicky and Meera's wedding day was filled with lot of chaos but fun as well. Armaan and Jai did not want to wear sherwani as it was itching them but girls wanted to be dolled up making both Geet and Sameera go mad and finally yelled at them loosing their temper! Sensing the situation, Maan and Arjun quietly took them out of the room, so Geet and Sameera could get dressed in peace.
Vicky and Meera's wedding ceremony was over and all rituals of the day were over! Everyone was in a very relaxed mood. Suddenly Vicky asked, "Bhabhi, did you ever have food cravings during your pregnancy?"
"Why are you asking bhaiya?" Geet replied blushing.
"Bhabhi he wants to have knowledge for future!" Yash teased.
"Yes I did!"
"What kind?"
"I wanted to have golgappe with ice cream; pasta with achaar and worst was I often wanted to eat mitti (mud)!"
"MITTI!"Everyone exclaimed
"Why didn't you tell me?" Maan asked surprised.
"Those days you were very busy and stressed. I didn't want to stress you anymore!" Geet left for the kitchen.
After sometime Nakul came running to Maan, "Baba, Baba, Bhabhiji rasoi mei behosh ho gayeen!" (Sir, Ma'am has fainted in the kitchen!)
"WHAT?"
Maan and others rushed in the kitchen Pari and Dulari were trying to revive her "Bhabhi! Didiji!" They tried by sprinkling water but it was not working! Maan picked his Mishty in his arms and took her to their bedroom. Then called the doctor.
Dr. Bhalla came she examined Geet in privacy after shooing everyone out of the room including Maan. He was very upset at being asked to leave but as it was for Mishty's health he did not react! Dr. Bhalla came out and said, "Mr. Khurana by just examination, it appears she is over exhausted ! She is extremely weak and needs few supplements. (handing Maan a prescription) I suggest you should consult Dr. Ramamoorthy as she requires extensive tests which I can't prescribe. There are some restrictions however that I can suggest. Please make sure she doesn't lift any weights and doesn not climb stairs more than twice a day! Goodnight!"
Maan immediately fixed an appointment. Geet was not allowed to get up. Twins for tonight were to sleep with Jai in his room. Armaan refused to listen, he was throwing a temper tantrum and even yelled at Maan, "You don't want me to sleep with Maa, because you are jealous of me as Maa loves me more than you!"
"You can think whatever you want. You have a choice to either sleep in Jai's room or Suhaani's room in Arjun Mama's home!" Maan spoke in a no nonsense MSK tone.
"Dad, I want to see Mom! I'm sorry for yelling at you!" Armaan said crying
Maan picked Armaan in his arms and gently said, "Beta, your Maa is not well. But you can see her but be very quiet!" Maan took Armaan to Geet. The five year old boy relaxed seeing his mother in front of him and immediately fell asleep on Maan's shoulder. Maan took him and made him sleep near Khushi on the bed. Next day Maan went with Geet to consult Dr. Ramamoorthy. The renowed doctor examined Geet and said, "Congratulations Mr. Khurana and Geetika! You are going to become parents again. Geetika is pregnant!"
"Doctor will we again have twins?"
"Tough to say, maybe or maybe not! I suggest you prepare for both scenario."
Nine months later same as before they had twin boys. Birth was again by Cesarean section. During the surgery, still in OT, Geet's bullet wound opened spouting blood! Dr. Balasekhar was called and bleeding stopped. Dr. Balasekhar came out of OT and told Maan, "Mr. Khurana, your wife's bullet had opened during twins delivery! I have sealed it again, as during birth of the babies there was stress given to aorta thereby opening the wound. She is fine now! " Maan named twins this time as Samraat and Samaan (meaning : king and pride).
