CHAPTER 31
ALL THE NAMES & PLACES ARE FICTITIOUS(if any resemblance to persons & places is purely coincidental). Any royal titles, architectural terms,IT terms & programs, office hierachy, wedding rituals, etc. are from my imagination hence THEY ARE NOT TRUE. PLEASE DON'T BASH ME !!!!!
FIVE YEARS LATER
Location: KHURANA MANSION
The household is busy preparing for Geet's "barasi with Shanti-paath". A huge potrait of Geet as a bride is placed in centre of hall. Riddhima is about to place a garland around Geet's photograph when Dadimaa screamed, "Thero! Khabhardaar jo aapne Geetanjali ki tasveer ko mala charadiye! Geetanjali jeevith hain. Hum kitni baar aap sab ko kahen!" (STOP! You cannot garland Geetanjali's photo as she is alive! I have told you umpteen number of times!)
"Maa! Chaliye aap ki dawaiyon ka samay ko gaya hai!"(Come Maa! Its time for your medicines!)
"Hummei kuch nahi hua hai. Hum aapse prarthana(prayer) karte hain ki aap hummei Geetanjali se mila dijiye!" (I'm fine. I request you, please take me to Geetanjali)
"Haan aap chaliye!" Rajveer coaxed Savitri Devi and took her with him. Khurana family feels that Savitri Devi was hallucinating about Geet. No one believed Dadimaa that Geetanjali is alive as all proof are indicating to Geetanjali demise. Police also after three months of accident, stopped the search. Only hope was that her body is not as yet found.
Everyone dressed in white welcomed panditji.
Panditji sat down and prepared the 'samagri' and other things needed for "haavan". "Devangath aatma(departed soul) ke pati ko bulaiye!" (Please call the husband of departed soul) Maan in white kurta pajama came and sat in front of fire. Four years back no one would have even allowed Maan inside the haavan venue in KM, forget about him actually sitting for haavan. As the saying goes "time teaches everything!" So was with Maan. It did not immediately happened with Maan but it took him a year to understand value of Geet in his and Khuarana family's life! It started with his basic needs i.e. his style of food cooked, placement of clothes in cupboard, his business files missing etc. which were all taken care by Geet. Then he started missing her motherly warmth like when she caressed his head during headache; caring for him when he was sick; her love & passion as a lover; her efficiency as an employee at KC and above all her sweet, helpful and compassionate nature. Unfortunately, 'why do we have to wait for a person to pass away before we realise their worth?' Same was with Maan. Winning praises and accolades for his hardwork, his winning 'THE BUSINESSMAN OF THE YEAR award for two consecutive years all went to his head. Along with that, him being the crowned Prince, he felt he has a right to get whatever he wants! He thought himself invincible in both professional and personal life. Soon he was given a reality check. In professional life, he lost two prestigious contracts to AAYGS CONSTRUCTIONS & 'THE BUSINESSMAN OF THE YEAR' award of last three years were given to AS & GS from AAYGS CONSTRUCTIONS . Personal life, he lost his most precious possession, Mishty due to his arrogance, ego and stubborness. Also his Dadimaa & his father totally boycotted him to the extent that he left KM and moved to the outhouse. Only his siblings, Vicky and Riddhima were with him due to their giving promise to his Mishty! He often considered himself murderer of Geetanjali as he pushed Geetanjali towards her death!
Once Maan realised his sins, he first went to Rajgarh to meet Arjun. During Geetanjali's last rites being done, Arjun did not come even after being informed by Rajveer. He understood Arjun's feelings and did not call him again for last rites. Maan was still Geetanjali's husband as their divorce papers had not been submitted to court so he did Geetanjali last rites! When Arjun came to know that Maan has come to visit him at Rajgarh, he refused to meet him. But Diwanji and other elders present coaxed and pleaded with him saying that he is the "Jawai-sa of Rajgarh." Finally Arjun agreed and met Maan in a private chamber where there were only two of them. Maan folded his hands & knelt in front of Arjun begging, "Arjun please forgive me and my crimes against Anjali! Please give me any punishment you want."
Arjun with an expressionless face and hard body stance only said "Jo aap ne humari Gudiya ke saath kiya, agar woh hum aapki bahen Riddhima ke saath karte, toh kya aap hummei shama karte?" (What all you did to my Gudiya, if I did the same to your sister, Riddhima, will you forgive me?) Maan got his answer and with bowed head returned to Delhi. Maan had by now understood, that Geet had fulfilled all her marital vows and Maan had only fulfilled one that was he provided for her all her physical needs but none of emotional needs!
Next Maan started going to KF. He met children who were very close to his Mishty and got to know her simple, humble and down to earth personality. How small and insignificant things gave her joy. Making Maan more guilty and repenting for hurting a pure and divine soul. In KC, he was still a terror named MSK, but with few changes. He understood when staff did not come to work without pre-informing due to emergency at home. Girls still drooled over him like crazy. But for Maan now the only woman who meant for him anything was his Mishty, although it was too late!
It was two years after Geetanjali went missing, Adi had come to check on Maan as they were getting late for an important meeting and Adi found Maan in unconscious state lying on his cabin floor. Adi immediately rushed Maan to hospital and called Rajeev. On examining Maan, doctor said that his Blood Pressure was very high due to extreme stress. If he doesn't take care of his stress he will be at high risk of cardiac arrest. Despite of being displeased and angry at Maan, Dadimaa and Rajveer could not hardened their heart any longer seeing Maan in ICU. Which parent however strict he/she is will not melt on seeing his child hurt or sick? Hence, Maan was moved back to KM, Dadimaa and Rajeev were there to see to his health. Being with his family in KM, slowly improved Maan's health. The family also started noticing changes in Maan's behaviour for the better!

A young woman of about 24yrs. dressed in official formal trouser suit, hair tied in French roll was bent over a blue print making corrections. Her secretary, Parineeta(Pari) Shekhawat walked in carrying her tea. "Ma'am, clients are here!"
"Ask them to wait in Conference Room." GS replied.
Before leaving Pari said, "Ma'am The Devils called"
GS said "Hmmm!"
Devils are cute 4yr. old triplets - Prithvi, Veer and Rini. They are 3minutes apart. Everyone in AAYGS dotes on them especially their three Mamas(maternal uncle). The only the person disciplining them is their mother GS. Hence the name, The Devils is given by her. Whereas their Mamas have named them "Angels". All the three have beautiful hazel eyes like their mother. Prithvi and Rini loved to eat pasta but Veer loves his Paranthas. Prithvi has a temper like an adult but very protective for Rini. Veer is happy go lucky but also is very protective for Rini. The youngest is cute and adoreable Rini, apple of everyones eyes.
