" A shadow was running in darkness of night ,, few sounds nd steps wr chasing that with swords which wr shining in d partial light of moon through trees ,, d whole wood became alive with voices nd rustling of dry leaves . he came out from his tent with a gun in his hand for his protection nd looked around ,, he saw few men with covered faces approached to him ,,the nearer him nd one of them removed his cloth from his face ... Brij handa ... what he was doing here with these goons .. yes goons they all wr looking like goons nd cruelty was clearly visible in their eyes . He scanned all nd gave a hard look to Brij ,, who was lil shocked after seeing him but pretend unaffected ,, raised his hand to stop his other partners . Brij, : we r searching a thief , did u see anyone this side ? Maan: thief ? ,, no i didn't . Brij: what r u doing in this jungle at this hr? Maan: why , this is Govt property nd anyone cn enter here ,, i m camping here . Brij: oh,, any way , be careful ,, this is jungle nd any wild animal cn attack on u ? Maan: i cn protect myself ,, u think for u who cn't even handle a girl of his home nd wasted my time nd money ,, now leave . Q pooped in his mind ,,, she was looking at other side where goons left ,, Maan slowly nearer her bent nd placed his hand on her shoulder ,, she turned with a gasp nd jerk ... fear was visible in her almond eyes ,, bruises on her face wr showing that she struggled for her life nd hiding her from those goons ..But Why? she was looking at him scared ,, he was looking at her confused .. she is Brij sis , then why she is here in this condition ? Why they wanted to kill her ? Maan: tum !!! tum Geet Handa ho na ? Brij man , but she cd bcoz he was Anjaan(unknown)to her ,nd so she for him ,, he was hell shocked nd confused with all this fiasco ,,only this girl cd clear d murk ,, he checked her breaths ,, they wr slow , but she was un-concious ,, he tore his shirt nd tied on her wounds which wr bleeding t cut on her arm was deep , when he tied d cloth on that she flinched in pain nd left weak cry nd sat up with a jerk ,, Maan shushed her placing his palm on her mouth . Maan whispered : ssshh,, quiet ,, they cn be around ,, don't make any noise ,, u r safe here ,, i won't harm u ,, trust me . Geet looked at him with wide feared eyes ,, their eyed met trying to read each other emotions ,, something stirred in Maan's heart ,, he averted his gaze , but she was staring at him with Qs .  Next moment they heard a rusting sound of leaves outside ,, she gasped in fear hugged him ,, Maan held her close nd whispered in her ear .. daro nahi ,, mai hoon na ,, they waited silently ,,that may be some wild creature ,, roamed nd went away seeing fire infront of tent . they parted ,, Maan gave her water to drink , sat near her ,, both wr confused nd Geet was still feared nd looking at him now nd then . Maan: wo ku tumhare peeche thy ,,ku marna chahaty hein tumhe ? tum to brij ki bahan ho na ? Geet gulped : tum un logo ke sath nahi ho to kaun ho ? Maan: pahale meri baat ka jawab do , wo sab ku marna chahaty hei tumhe ? Geet: uss zameen ke liye jo tum chahaty ho . Maan confused : lekin wo to kafi din pahale tum bech chuli ho ,, ab to final formalities hein jis per Geet handa , means tumhare sign chahiye ,, mai half payment ker chuka hoon Brij ko . Geet was thinking that Maan asked about her to his munshi ji who was in contact with brij for d land deal ,, there was all good chances that he cd tell brij ,, or it cd be a trap ,, she cn't trust any one now . Maan : i don't know much about ur family , but when brij was hurting u like this then why didn't u complaint against him ,,n nd how mean ur parents ,, who allow that man to treat a girl like this ? Why r u bearing all this ,, go nd complaint against domestic voilance ,, u r educated nd have equal rights . Geet coldly: i lost my parents nd darji (Nanu),, i m all alone .. an orphan they all r behind my property. Maan gaped at her ,, her words pained his heart deep ,, he wanted to ask more about her but there was a knock at d door which scared Geet ,, she looked at him fearfully . Maan: daro nahi ,, u go in d room ,, may be it's pantry boy to give coffee ,, go in nd relax . Geet hesitated , but went in d bed room ,, Maan was right it was d boy ,, he placed d tray on table nd looked around . Maan: suno , ek ghante ke baad BF lana for two , OK. Boy: ji saab ,, he looked at room , nd went back ,, Maan didn't like this nd thought that it was batter that he sent Geet in ,, he took d tray nd came in d room where Geet was sitting on bed edge,, listening boy's voice nd Maan's order she was relieved . Maan: have coffee nd take some rest ,, after BF we'll go . Geet took d cup : wo ,, how i go out in open jeep ,, if someone see me nd informed Brij ... Maan: Oh ,, it cn be ,, he thought for a min , nd then called again someone. Maan: hello munshiji ,, sent a car for me for some hrs , in half an hr . Munshiji: choty saab , mai pprs stemp nd sign ke liye submit kerke aata hun ,, d man is waiting there . Maan: OK , go , nd i need a duplicate copy too ,, go do it fast . Maunshi ji went back to a office giving Geet a look ,, Maan too gave a faint smile to Geet . Maan: miss Geet it's done ,, after stamp u cn get a duplicate copy for u nd yes one more thing i forgot ,, Sorry .. plzz wait here , that is with him , i m bringing from munshiji ,, u plzz wait here i m coming back in a mnt,, Ok,, then we'll go . Maan huffed in anger nd disappointment ,, he went in to bring d bag of money nd demand drafts for rest of payment of land from munshiji ,, but she didn't trust him nd runaway ,, he wanted to give that money to Geet bcoz d land belong to her ,, he was angry with Brij nd wanted to teach him a good lesson of cheating nd hurting Geet .,, Maan came out in road looking all around for Geet , but there was no sign of her ,, he was very angry on Geet nd mumbled . Maan slowly raised his hand nd tucked her loose strands behind her ear ,, saw her ear lob empty ,, smiled nd showed her earring then put that in her lob hole ,, his long warm fingers wr touching her cheek nd ear ,, lost in her serene beauty Maan caressed her cheek slowly ,, which shivered her whole body ,, feeling week on her feet she held him from his vest , nd that touch of her passed a chilled wave through his body ,, that feel was new, special nd pleasurable for him ,, that soothe his aching heart nd calm his restlessness .. he loved that feeling nd desired more nd more ,, he spoke in heavy baritone near her ear , which melted her whole. Maan: Geet , come with me , i have to talk u many things ,, aur haan.. if i committed that i m with u nd protect u , means i'll ..
