Geet had gone to the university again the next day. She had not wanted to stay back late, the incidents of the evening were still afresh in her mind.

She was picking up the application form and was going when she had seen someone pass by. It was the guy from the previous night.

The first thing she noticed was how tall he was. His face wasn't that visible in the shadows of the previous night but thankfully he was wearing something similar to what he was the previous night. A cotton kurta with jeans, a beard and long hair, he was the most striking person even amongst the crowd. What stood as a deep contrast is the indifference in his eyes.

"Hi" she called out to him and saw him turn back to look at her.

He pointed a finger towards himself and raised an eyebrow, indicating if it were him she was calling.

"Yes" Geet told walking towards him. "I wanted to thank you..." she said and he looked very confused. Geet realized he didn't recognize her so she hastily added "...for last night"

Something in his eyes cleared and he looked at her with recognition.

"Oh" he said and stayed silent for a moment. When Geet thought he wouldn't speak again, he had said.

"That would be Rs.2000"

Geet was taken aback. "I thought you were helping me"

"I was. But how would you learn a lesson of being mindful of your surroundings?"

"I don't have that much cash on me" she said feeling embarrassed.

He rolled his eyes, much to her chagrin and something in her snapped. She wasn't lying. Of course she wasn't.

"Please give me a card or something, I'll come back tomorrow and give you the money"

He smiles. "Is this the classic cow story? Never mind"

With that, he started walking away, dismissing her.

"Wait" she said running to catch up with him.

"No really, I'll come back. Give me your number or card"

"Leave it woman, I don't like to give my personal details to random stranger"

"Huh. HUH? What would I possibly do with your details?"

"I don't know. Stalk?"

Geet looked at him shocked at his audacity.

"You aren't that remarkable" she said trying to offend him as much as possible.

"I like you already." He said genuinely appreciative. "That building out there is where I work. Drop in tomorrow evening" he said and left without another word.
