The Myth

The test of a true myth is that each time u return to it , new insights and interpretations arise.

A saying Or belief Or fact Or superstition Or Myth ... these words play an important part in ppl's life ,, many blindly believe or live their lives on some belief nd myths ,, from d time of d bith of a child to till his/her end some belief never left them ,, those ppl trust a priest who himself a human being nd it's also said that human is a bundle of mistakes ,, then how cn a priest be trusted blindly ? Does a priest's words r more important than an innocent child ? If yes then where is humanity , love , care nd family bonding ? Where r relations nd their warmth ? Where is Truth nd Reality ?

Maan wanted to reach in his class ASAP to hide himself , but few students stopped them asking about Sam's health who was absent from college from last few days ,, Sam was talking nd replying students nd Maan was becoming impatience .

Maan: lets go in d class Sam , I have to check few points of my presentation .

Sam: what''s wrong with u Maan , I m coming after days nd they r talking to me .

Maan: OK fine , u talk nd I m going ,, plzz excuse me .

He rushed in his class nd took a sigh of relief ,, d feeling that may be geet was watching him with anger disturbing him ,, he didn't want to come in front of her ,, he was shocked thinking this fact that how Geet was bearing him ?

Their presentation went so-so , not up to mark bcoz of lack of concentration nd preparation ,, both wr not able to give proper time to their studies ,, where Geet was spending more nd more time in study to keep her busy nd to get d good score so that she cd get a good job for her ,, she had to establish herself in this country so need to be d best nd she did that ,, her presentation went well nd impressive .

At break Sam forced him to come in caf but Maan denied which irritated her ,, she taunted him for not taking care of her nd neglecting her ,, helplessly he went with her nd got what he didn't want to face ... Geet with her big gang of Jrs nd Srs ,, all wr having their beverages with fav snakes nd all wr taking care of Geet nd asking her what she want to taste , offering their snacks to taste .

She was now in her 2^nd trimester nd started showing her baby bump , but Geet tried to hide draping in loose fitting tops ,, d weather started getting cold so she use stole or jackets ,, Daimaa started giving her home cook food for lunch but bcoz of her mood swings nd changing taste she distributed that among friends nd ate diff-diff food ,, Maan nd sam wr sitting lil away from her grp nd listening their talks ,, every talk regarding Geet was attracting him ,, he was becoming curious to know about her , he was sitting with sam but there was Geet in his thoughts .

Maan remembered his marriage date nd calculated d time of Geet's preg ... more then 4 mnts ,, he was a wd be father nd didn't know this fact , nd when he came to know he was not able to react anything, even he was not able to ask anything to Geet ,, where as others wr freely talking to her , pampering her nd she was enjoying her motherhood ,, looking happy nd glowing ,, Maan's heart sunk ,, this silent humiliation was going unbearable for him .

He was lost in his endless thoughts nd his coffee turned cold ,, Sam patted his arm to get his response .

Maan: huhhh,, what ?

Sam: that I want to know ,, where r u lost from ystrdy ? What happened to u ?

Maan: nothing , I m just tense bcoz of current situations .

Sam: ur coffee turned cold ,, did u talk to ur parents , what they had said ?

Maan: nothing .

Sam: means ?

Maan: means Dad is not ready to listen me nd there is no hope for money from home ,, don't know how i'll manage ?

Sam: we lost ur job too bcoz of my sickness nd study pressure for exams ,, today we have to collect d blood reports nd visit Dr too at eve,, lots of money is draining in tests nd fees .

Maan : these things r not in our hands ,, lets go ,, r u comfortable to sit for next classes or want to go home ?

Sam: will try to sit ,, I m lacking in study nd presentation was not satisfactory .

Maan sighed : mine too ,, come lets go .

They went back to their classes ,, at eve while going back to home unfortunately Geet caught d same bus ,, Maan saw her nd dipped his head feeling miserable ,, Geet witnessed them but passed them nd sat at last with cold expressions ,, last seats get more jerks nd that was not comfortable for her ,, Maan felt a keen urge to stop her for sitting there ,, he wanted to give her his seat but how to say ? to pile up his miseries Sam held his arm nd rested her head on his shoulder ,, he shuddered nd became restless ,, he removed her head from his shoulder nd Sam looked at him with a frown .

Maan: Sam ,sit properly .

Sam: huuhh , what's wrong in this ? I m feeling tired .

Maan fumbled : I know , but use head rest , not my shoulder .

Sam annoyed: what is spl today ? u never stopped me then what happened all of sudden ?

Maan: aamm,, don't take it wrong , I said in a gen way .

Sam: Maan , I m not getting ur behaviour .

Maan sighed nd looked in diff side to avoid her ,, annoyed Sam rested her head on window glass nd closed her eyes ,, there Maan was feeling low nd ashamed sitting close to Sam ,, he knew that Geet cd see them clearly ,, it was so humiliating for him that her wife was sitting in an uncomfortable place in her preg nd he was sitting comfortably with his GF... Damn ,,, where I go ,, he cursed himself ,, in this situation he wanted to run away or to hide any lonely place .

This ugly truth started eating Maan ,, nothing was coming in his mind nd Geet's presence in front of him increasing his guilt ... Yes this was guilt nd shame ,, this truth was proving that his decision to carry on his relation with Sam nd living with her was a wrong move ,, this was not in his dreams that things cd turn like this ? God !! he didn't even recognize Geet ,, Maan smacked his head inwardly in dismay nd sighed .

Bus stopped nd Geet stepped down ,, Maan was moving slowly keeping a distance ,, now Geet didn't bother much , she just gave hateful looks nd then ignored ,, Sam saw Geet entering in d house nd asked .

Sam: Maan see ,, this Geet Singh also living close to us , but never talk to us properly ,, how arrogant nd high headed is she ?

Maan: why do u want to talk her ? mind ur own business .

Sam: I m just saying , why r u getting angry ?

He was walking slowly nd replying Sam with lower head but his one eye was at Geet ,, they entered in their home which seems a cage for Maan ,, to avoid this torturing situ of Geet's presence in front of him he had to change d home , but it was tough to explain Sam ... what he wd say ? This change cd give him some more money lose too ,, he was already spending on Sam's treatment .

Peeping ... a big blow for Maan nd Sam ...
