TEASERShe stood stunned for a second watching him stride away through the exit.
He did not just fire her? Did he?
Grabbing her saree pleats a little higher she dashed after him.
He was already out of the main part of the hotel when she caught up with him. Luckily there was no one around.
"Maan Sir ..", she bellowed as loud as she could.
He turned around with a contemptous gaze towards her, his hand still smarting from the nails she had dug in.
She was huffing from the run, her saree held up, revealing beautiful ankles and feet in silver heels.
His gaze rose up to the saree bunched up in her hands by the waist where most of her waist was visible onwards up to the heaving chest and the pink cheeks from her exertion.
Without his wanting it, a reaction to her beauty was humming in his veins. It was alien to him, this weird feeling.
He was Maan Singh Khurana though and he would not succumb to it. He hated her all the more for making him feel this way.
"Miss Geet, in case you have a hearing problem in addition to a problem with standing on your own two feet, let me make myself clear. YOU ARE FIRED!" he pronounced loudly.
How egoistic and biased was he? Typical male who thought the world revolved around him.
Just because he had taken a dislike to her, just because she was not dressed as the others in the party; whatever his stupid reasons were, he could not minimize who she was!
Fairness and equality were the right of every woman on earth.
Mr. Maan Singh Khurana needed to be taken down off his high horse!
"You can't do that Sir", she offered in a reasonable tone though she was burning within.
"I just did" he said dismissively, " .. and no amount of begging or sniveling is going to change my mind Miss Geet. Ek baar bol diya toh bol diya. Bas!"
