PART - 20GEET starts his treatment. She do her all level best which she can do. Though his bitterness and selfish attitude made her annoyed on ocassions but she don't responded to him, which fumed him more. Geet only do her job and left him. Dr. Asthana to came back and she discuss his case. Dr. Asthana starts several therapies to cure him. In short Maan got best treatment but still no improvement in his condition.
"Geet I don't understand why you don't able to cure him." Dev demand valid asnwer as already one month passed him being here but no sign of improvement showed in him. More over by every passing day his frustration rosing every day. No one talk with him as he only spitt venom. Geet only visit when its needed. Or else no one went near him. He was like a piece of trash to all which was not bearable for a person like him. He was egoistic and born to rule the world but hos conditions were against of him and his inability to do any work at his own only create problems.
Geet was mute as she herself don't know why he not responding to the treatment. The therapies which was given to him are best still he was same like the day he admitted to this hospital. Dev passed off and demands for answer.
"Geet don't stay silent. Please tell me what's going on? Geet sorry if I hurt you but I can't help it. Tell me clearly, are you willing to cure him genuinely or not?" His words hit her like a sharo blow. Geet never thought that Dev doubted on her intentions.
"Dev tum mujhpe shak kar rahe ho?" She sounds recent. "No... no lame excuses. Your words clearly told that you don't trust me." Geet stare him in anger. His distrust on her efforts annoyed her.
"I am sorry Geet but you tell what else I think? I am really sorry I don't want to hurt you." Dev apologizes on his behaviour. Its just his out burst and because of Maan.
Geet stare him and left the cabin. She to was tensed why he was not recovering. But that doesn't mean he would doubted her. She went to see Maan again. He was as usual laying alone and staring at the walls in the life less room. Neither he eat properly nor took his medicines on time so nurse inject saline in his body and through that they send medicine to his body.
"Look who is here. Will you get time from your lover and busy schedule?" He as usual spitt venom on her view.
"What's your problem? " casually she didn't replied or talk to him. But now she wants to find the reason. She understood that its not because of treatment. There is some psychological problem which not let him cure. So she decided to talk with him first.
"Ahh I really appreciate that you asked from your long ago forgotten husband. But I am confused what you want to know exactly?" His frustration coming out and first time she listening to him carefully. "Don't stare me like this okay." Maan grabbed her with his semi working hand and shot a glare full of rage. Geet almost falls on him the way he pulled her but Geet not feared. Its very necessary for her to observe him. "I know what you all think about me. But MSK is not a trash okay. Aaj meri ye halat hai that doesn't mean you win over me." His breathe quicken and fists was firm. With a jerk he leave her free and turned his gaze to other side.
Geet got her answers and now she know how to tackle him. Geet discuss it with Dr. Asthana and asked for his permission.
"Its a suicide beta and to cure that mad man I will not grant permission to you." Dr. Asthana wasn't very much happy with her idea. His fear was clearly reflecting and he denied her proposal.
"Papa we don't have any other option. I have to do it. But I need your help and support." Geet said in a straight voice.
"No no no..." he cupped her face gently. "Sweet heart I already lost my daughter. Dobara nahi kho sakta. God show mercy on me amd send you to fill the place of naina. Beta I can't loose you. You don't take stress. I will inform his brother that we are unable to treat him so he can took him Where ever je wants but foegive us." He was only worried for Geet. He already lost his daughter but Geet's presence help him to forget that pain. He loved her like his own daughter and like every father he wants to protect her from every danger.
"Papa we are docs. We can't left the patient to die. I have to do this." Geet tried to convince him.
"Yes we are. But same time we are humans to. Tume chhod du us bas***d k sath akela. Taki theek hote hi wo tume firr se torture kare. No way. Already he leave no chance to abuse you even in this condition to akele me to pata nahi kya karega. No no no Naina don't argue. I don't wanna take change with my only daughter. Nahi hota theek na ho. Person like him don't deserve anyone's sympathy." Dr. Asthana knows her past now and he wants to threw him out of his hospital the same moment but Geet stopped him. He hates Maan to core and wants rid from him.
Geet hold his hands and made him look at her. "Papa apko kya lagta hai will he leave me when he know about me. Papa I tried to run from my past but shadows of past never leave us. I have to face him and Maan is not like other patients. He will only be cure this way. Please Papa allow me to take him to your farmhouse. Dr. Naina might be failed but mrs. Geet khurana will not. Or waise bhi Farmhouse konsa durr hai. Hospital se sirf 15 min ka walking distance hai. Don't scare papa and let me do it." Deep inside her heart was filled with lots of worries and insecurities. Still she was ready to face worst.
Dr. Asthana was staring her innocent eyes. His heart wasn't ready to grant permission but she mend him and he agreed reluctantly and commands his staff to do the arrangements of his shifting to his farm house.
Geet informed Dev and he came to meet her. "Geet I didn't meant this. Please don't put yourself in danger again. You with him alone not a good idea." Dev apologizes for his behavior and curse himself for pushing her in danger again.
"Dev I am a doc and its my job. And you to want him to be alright." Geet defends having tears in her eyes.
Dev swirled her to him. He hold her arms. "Yes I want this but not at the cost of your life. Already you suffered a lot because of us but not any more. I will take him from here." His jaws clenched hard and eyes narrowed. He was worried and don't want her to pay for other's fault. Once he failed to protect her but not any more.
"Dev baat kya hai? Don't you want him to be alright." Geet sense his tension from his squeezed forehead.
"Geet I want to apologizise for every thing you faced because of me. Last time I was struck in London because of dadima's health. I went in hope of help but her health was worst and I won't able to come." Dev explained what he faced there. "Geet ab mujhe dobara London jana hai. I don't want one more innocent life suffered because of me. But this time I won't leave you in danger so I will shift bro to Mumbai's hospital. Geet you don't need to treat him." Dev this time don't want to leave her alone.
Geet pressed his shoulder and hold his hand. "Dev whatever had happened for that don't blame yourself. May be its our fate. Our lives moved in different directions. We are like two shores of the sea jo sath chal to sakte hai but mill nahi sakte. But I don't have any complaints with you. Dev tum humesha mere sabse achhe friend rahoge no matters where our fate leads us. You always kept spl place in my heart. Now don't waste time and go to her. Meera needs you more. And don't worry about Maan or me. Now I am able to handle both. So go ahead." Geet removed all the guilt he had burdened himself. Both truely love each other but now their destinations are different so she decided to be his friend forever. A best and beautiful relation. Because true friends are difficult to find but Geet have Dev.
She hug him last time may be. Both's eyes turn wet as both knows destiny parted them. Both stayed long like this before the final sepration. His phone buzzed and both parted. His flight was confirmed. "Geet..." his voice struck in his dried throat.
"Go Dev and without any feel of guilty." She smiled in tears to assure him that he wasn't at fault and now it's time for him to come out from that guilt so she happily allowed him to go back to London.
Dev kissed on her forehead. "God bless you. I pray he give you strength for upcoming problems. And don't hesitate Geet. Just call me and I ll be here for any help. Take care." He blessed her and left.
