collecting like copper pennies in a fountain,
under pain concrete form,
a flower breaks
through the crack of my once solid shell.

Maan: what is that Geet ?

Geet : Maan as u know that I knew many thing regarding u nd they r very confusing , let them aside but my main curiosity is regarding ur work ,, I tried to find out a lot but failed ... Where is ur thesis Maan, ur main hard copy ?

Maan felt a shiver in his body nd Get felt d tightening in his hands which feared her ,, Maan looked deep in her hazels ,, it was hard to speak bcoz that thing was d root cause of disaster ,, seeing him quiet Geet felt disappointed ,, she pressed his hands with a faint smile .

Geet: it's OK , Maan leave it nd don't stress urself .. I m Sorry .

Maan gulped : Geet ,, there is no use of talking about that ,, leave that behind as u said that forget about past nd think for present nd future ,, when I lost d most precious thing then that work is ash for me .

Geet: Maan it's true that d lose was big nd u almost lost everything except ur breaths , but it's also true that every ending is just a new beginning ,, u cn start in a diff way nd with diff thought ,, shed ur fear nd face this world Maan ,, be a roll model for other to ignite d will power in them ,, don't think for u but for other ,, u r genius Maan , u r a bio-tech engg ,, don't waste ur ability ,, plzz come out from this hindrance ,, we all r with u ,, I m with u Maan .

Maan: Geet it's easy to say but very hard to face nd bear ,, I m not a normal man , God gave this relief to me nd my family nd now at least all cn live rest of life peacefully ,, I don't want nd desire anything for me ,, I m here only for u Geet nd then i'll leave .

Geet: If u r here for me then come with me ,, start again ur pending work , which was almost completed ,, i'll help u at all step .

Maan: no Geet I cn't ,, u cn take anything from my this lappy if it is useful for u , but I don't want go back in that life ,, it hurt nd disturb me ,, it's unbearable for me to look back in my lose .

Geet: what'll hurt u Maan ?

Maan became restless ,, Geet was dragging d talk to his most sensitive part of life ,, there Geet want a clear talk on that matter ,, if there was nothing then why to cry over that ,, it's shameful for them who cheated him not for Maan ,, he had to show his guts to them .

Geet: Maan if u r right nd fair at ur place ,, if u r sincere then don't hide ur face like coward ,, come out with high head nd make other ashamed on them .

With Geet's cont pestering he became lil aggressive nd retort back annoyed to stop this discussion .

Maan: enough Geet ,, don't force me to do that which I didn't want , I m not interested in that any more ,, think about u nd ur work , that's it.

Geet: OK , then u too don't have to think about me nd my work ,, i'll manage like others r doing , I won't bother u ,, still those ppl r important for u , affecting u,, have their influence on u .

Maan: shut up Geet ,, they r not imp for me ,, but it hurt me deep if I think about them ,, in this state how cn i tolerate them in front of me ,, what u know about my wounds .

Geet feared seeing him hyper ,, she got up nd nearer him ,, cupped his face worried.

Geet: sshhh,, don't be hyper ,, calm down ,, calm down Maan ,, remember one thing Maan , nothing is imp than u nd ur family ,, nothing ,, r u getting my words ,, nothing is imp than u ur family , even not they , who cheated u ,, yes I know they had cheated u ,, I heard their talks nd have a rough idea ,, seeing those disgusting ppl from months I m quiet sure they had cheated u , but how that was a big Q for me .

Lost in his emotions nd pain Maan hugged him tightly nd Geet reciprocated to soothe his aching heart ,, he had to pour out his pain only then he wd feel light ,, he had to overcome this thought that they cd effect him ,, he had to make him free from their thoughts .

Maan: it hurts Geet,, how I make u understand ?

Geet parted: i'll Maan ,, i understand ur pain .

Maan: no u cn't ,, u didn't face a heart break ,, u didn't face betrayal .

Geet caressed his back to soothe him , nd it worked ,, Maan felt relieved ,, d pain nd anger which he was hiding nd blocking deep in his heart wanted to come out but he didn't have any trusted soul for him with whom he cd share ,, he cdn't talk this with his family ,, after yrs it was only Geet who dared to talk about that part of his life , though it was making him aggressive nd rude , but he was opening up slowly .

Geet: Maan what do u feel for them ... hate , affection or lov ...

Maan: G e e t ,, I hate them ,, I hate them to d core .

Geet smiled ,, thought for a sec nd parted ,, placed her hand on his cheek ,, Maan was looking at her painfully .

Geet: then it is simple for u ,, hate them as much as u cn nd prove them that nothing cn affect u ,, they r nothing for u nd u disgust them ,, they deserve ur hate Maan ,, they have to be ashamed .

Maan: Geet I cn't bear their mere sight then how cn I think to work like this ?

Something hit Geet nd made her shocked .

Geet: Maan , how do u know they r still there ? How r u so sure that u have to face them if u come out .

Maan: Geet I m d alumni of this inst . ,, I did my MS from here nd knew many websites of diff dept to check d reports nd generals ,, I checked that when I was in US, checked pass out of last 3 yrs nd saw their names there, not only this I find their names in dept prof list too.

Geet: Oh.

Maan: nd u r saying me to go that place again to complete my work ,, how cn I Geet ? d ppl who grown up on my ashes r roaming there ,, I cn't tolerate this .

Geet : Maan it's just a matter of few weeks ,, ur work is almost done , just submit ur thesis after some formalities , it's d matter of ur rs hard work Maan ,, u cn't leave nd step back defeated when God gives u chance ,, prove that u r d best nd a fighter .

Maan looked at her again she was provoking him, encouraging him nd increasing hopes , but what if he didn't get his lost honour back ,, d defeat nd mocking of ppl wd brake him again ,, better to stay quietly what god had given him nd his family at least all r satisfied now .

Maan: no Geet , it's not possible now ,, forget about all .

Geet: then forget Dr Geet too ,, she doesn't want ur help ,, go back to ur home.

She shied nd try to get up tp go but Maan held her wrist .

Maan: don't be so stubborn ,, u did a lot for me nd I want to help .

Geet: ahasaan ,, pay back,, humm ?

She was hurt that he took her help as Ahasaan nd now wanted to help her against his wish as a reward or pay back ,, still he was stuck in his past nd avoiding to face d present .
