Ah, it's been ages that I've commented just below the update. This feels nice 😃
50. Inevitable-
Oh Shika! what have you done girl... you always struck a chord. It was so simple expression but yet held something beautiful and deep.
Her acceptance and his struggle were led them to this inevitable moment where none saw it coming but still embraced it ... as it was meant to be.
Loved this line - "Inability of holding back and inability of letting go". was enough an evidence of how much she's come ahead to try giving life a chance and letting a hope enkindle within her which died tragically after that 'incident'
She accepted that she has built so many barriers within her own self all with her self loathe and guilt ... and at the same time has surety that only Maan can breakthrough all of it even with her withholding. I feel this acceptance was a big step towards the covering of the emotional distance she keeps with everyone and was nullified with the intimacy she shares with him.
Liked how you connected the cycle for her here. Years back when she was feeling lonely due to her mother's absence in her life ... Sameer was there for her to cheer up and she found a brother in him then. He connected with her on a deeper level. And today when she remembers that incident standing under a distressed sky reflecting her misery and turmoil, she is again comforted by a presence so strong that she has unconsciously as well as noncommittally allowed to form a deeper bond with her. That relation with Sameer was formed on friendship and trust, whereas this one with Maan is formed on sharing of similar pain, anguish and struggle which reflects in their eyes ... and is engulfed and at the same time blissful with silence that surrounds them.
For the majority of the update their silence spoke so much and their eyes expressed more than all the words they've shared in this short span of few days. Go to see they haven't spoken much at all, and whatever little they've spoken is either out of anger and pain or few words that provokes and breaks their barriers a little each time. Inspite of it all they still know each other so much more that they can both cause either inexcusable damage to the other or bring redeeming grace for each other. Very unique and indecipherable relation they share between all their silence. I hope this silence shouldn't cause any more storms for them ... which I think is on it's way.
Both covered a distance this time... he covered a distance towards her soul, that even his letting go caused her to come near and taking an active step towards acknowledgement. And she accepted his need and her desire.
They shared a kiss, but before that I loved his act of embracing her pain ... after snapping the thread holding him; with his eyes closed, face bent and lips touched her hair. That for me was so intimate and crucial as that act spoke of him as a true person and his feelings. it caused her to feel at home, a sense of belonging. And later that Kiss ... was like an answer to it all... an ultimate and apt culmination to his act of love that he first kissed away her tears accepting her sorrow and; then when she breathed his name "Maan" (not the Mr. Khurana that she had used to keep a distance) did her break the final emotional barrier to go ahead and kiss her.
He still feared and felt rejected .. as it's deeply embedded with all his loss ... but her embrace and step towards him should work at least as some solace.
Beautiful way of bringing in the Golden jubilee Maggie ji
👏
Love ya ❤️
