Hey I completely missed out one possibility..

Is this achal geet's friend by any chance and Geet was there in the group,when maan saw them?!

And yesterday he was actually staring at Geet not achal as everyone is thinking

He just have met achal so that he could know more about Geet and not to forget she once tried to commit suicide.. Even though Geet is strong and she knows that was stupid idea still maan thinks that Geet did commit suicide..

So he must want to know about Geet and he might have asked achal about her..

And also there was this late night call.. Even though it was all from Geet's POV surely it must have done something to maan..

And about getting ready and smartly dressed!! Come yaar he is going to pick his wife so obviously he need to be smartly dressed!!😉
