Recap: Dadi & Maan came to see Geet..and said that they will give reply after consulting with their Guruji.

Handa Ladies were sitting in the backyard area..and chit chatting while having evening tea..it was a working day so no one was at home except the three ladies..

Dadi: Rano puttar kya hua..?? Kuch pareshan si lag rahi hai..koi baat hai to bol..

Rano: Ma bas wahi baat hai..unlogon ka koi jawab nai aaya abhi tak..4 mahine hone ko aaye hain..jb Geet ko dekh ke gye the..

Dadi: Haan ye to hai..Pragya se baat hui..kuch pta pda..

Rano: Ma hui thi..Pragya keh rahi thi..ki guruji abhi tak aaye nai..isliye un logon ki taraf se koi jawab nai aaya..

Amrit: Didi..!! Aap jyada mat socho..dekho kal ganpati ji ka visarjan hai..dekhna visarjan k saath-2 ganpati ji sab problems le jaayenge..

Dadi: Haan Rano puttar..Amrit sahi keh rahi hai..bas sab rabji pe chod do..wo sab theek karenge..

Rano: Rabji pe hi to choda hua hai sab..Ma..bas Geet ko leke thodi jyada chinta rehti hai..

Dadi: Ye sabko pta hai..jab baat Geet ki aati hai to teri chinta kuch jyada badh jaati hai..par bahu aise chinta karke kya milega..tabiyat kharab ho jani hai..aur Geet ne aur chinta ho jani hai tujhe aise dekh ke..

Amrit: Haan didi..Ma sahi keh rahi hain..bas ab sochna chodiye..chaliye andar chalte hain..sake aane ka samay (time) ho rha hai..aur sham ki aarti bhi to karni hai..aur kal ki preparations bhi to karni hain..chaliye andar chalte hain..

Rano: Haan..chalo..

And all went inside..

Next Day..Handa Mansion..

Full Handa Mansion was in hustle-bustle..as today was the day for ganpati visarjan..and all members want ganpati visarjan to be on time..and only one name was on everybody's mouth..that was of Geet..

From checking bhog of ganeshji to pooja ki thal to every other thing every member of family was checking with Geet.

Geet: Aap log itna na pareshan ho...sab kuch ready hai..bs ab aao..aarti karte hain..

Everyone: Haan chalo aarti shuru karte hain..

Everyone did aarti of ganeshji..and after that it was time for taking ganpati ji for visarjan..

Geet: Papaji..aap, mumma aur dadi, aur chachaji chale jao visarjan ke liye..mein aur Simi rukte hain chachi ke saath..

Dadi: Haan ye theek hai..is trh amrit bhi ghar mein akeli nai rahegi..Chalo ab hum log chalte hain..

After some time..

Door Bell and landline of Handa Mansion Rang at the same time..

Amrit: Geet tu jaake dekh darwaaje pe kau hai mein phone sunti hu.

Ji chachi..said Geet and went to downstairs..

Amrit: Ji Haan, mein Handa House se bol rai hu..aap kaun

Amrit: Ji Namaste..mein Amrit bol rahi hu..Handa's ki choti bahu..

Amrit: Bas theek hain..aap btaiye..

Amrit: Ji wo kya hai na ki sab log bahar gye hue hain.wo aaj anant chaturdashi hai na..to bs ganpati ji ka visarjan karne gye hain..

Amrit : Ji kuch jaruri baat thi..

Amrit: Ji aap agr theek smjhein to mujhe bta dijiye mein ma ko message de dungi..

Amrit: Aapko bhi badhaiyan..mein ma ke aate hi aapse baat karvati hu..

After some time..At the Dinner Table..

When Geet and Simi were not present..Amrit broke the news about telephone which came..when all were outside..

Amrit: Mujhe aap sabko kuch btana hai..

Everyone looked at her..

Amrit: wo jab aap sab log visarjan ke liye gye hue the na..tab Delhi se Savitri Khurana Ji ka phone aaya tha..aur unhone kha hai ki unhe rishta manjoor hai..unke guruji kal hi wapas aaye aur unhone aaj poochke humein bta diya..

Everybody squealed in joy listening to the news..

Dadi: Aur kuch kaha kya unhone..

Amrit: Ji Ma..wo chahte hain ki roka jald se jald ho jaaye aur roke ke din shadi ki date bhi fix kar lein..

Dadi: Haan ye bhi theek hai..ek baar shadi ki date pakki ho jaaye..uske baad hi apne doston aur rishtedaron mein ye baat btayenge..

Amrit & Rano: Haan Ma..ye sahi rahega..

Dadi: Mein Dinner ke baad Savitri Ji se baat karleti hu..jo bhi date sitable rahegi aane wale ek-do hafte mein us din roka kar lete hain..

Everyone: Haan ma..jitna jaldi roke ki rasm ho jaaye utna acha..

Dadi: Aur haan Amrita ur Rano puttar tum log zara Geet se bhi baat karlena..ho sakta hai uske man mein kuch uljhan (confusion) ho is baat ko leke..

Amrit: Haan..kyunki Geet aage hoke to kuch bolegi nai..ghar mein sabke confusions asani se smjh jaati hai..par jb khudki bari aati hai to kuch bhi nai bolti..

Everybody smiled and nodded their head in yes..listening to Amrit..

Post Dinner both dadies had a talk over the phone and roka date was decided for coming weekend..and same news was shared with both the family members..and everybody was elated with the news..

In Geet's Room

Simi & Geet were sitting and chit chatting..

Simi: Didi aap khush to ho na aapki shadi ki baat se..

Geet: Haan Simi..mujhe koi problem nai hai..Maanji aur unki dadi bahut achi hain..unhe mere aage padhne se, mere job karne se koi problem nai hai..haan thoda darr lag rha hai..kyunki hum dono ke ghar ka mahol alag hai..rehne ka tareeka laga hai..aur phir apna ghar chodke ek naye ghar mein rehna..naye logon ke beech..thoda darr to lgta hai..

Whole Handa Family was standing at the gate of their room..and listened to their convo..

Amrit: Geet..beta darne ki koi baat nai hai..Khurana's ache log hain..aur time ke saath tum wahan aaram se adjust ho jaugi..mujhe, didi (Rano), Ma (Dadi) ko hi dekhlo..hum bhi to yahan aaye..aur yahin ke hoke reh gye..

Rano: Choti bilkul sahi keh rai..aur puttar abhi kaunsi teri shadi ho rahi hai..is weekend to bs Roka hai..aur shadi ki date fix honi hai..shadi tak tum dono ko time milega aram se ek dusre ko jaan ne ka..samjhne ka..har tareeke se..aur tum dono ek dusre ke saath khul jaaoge (open up ho jaaoge)

Dadi: Haan beta..aur ajkal to mobile, computer ka zamana hai..aram se baat karna phone pe, laptop se..aur roke aur shadi ke beech itna samay to rakhenge hi ki tum dono ko ek dusre ko jaan ne ka, samjhne ka muaka mile..abhi to bs roka hai..

Ji Dadi..Geet was too shy to any anything..

Everyone smiled seeing their Geet so shy..and decided to leave the room..

Dadi: Hum to bewjah chinta kar rahe the..humari Geet to itni smjhdar hai..ye jaante hue bhi..

Everyone: Haan ma..

Rano: Par Ma, beti ko leke chinta to hoti hi hai..

Dadi: Haan ye baat to hai..acha ab ye sab chodo..kaam ko divide kar lete hain..ek hafta hi hai bas..Geet ke roke mein..sab kuch ache se ho jaaye..isliye abhi se tyari shuru kar do..Bazar ka kaam Mohinder aur Zor tum dono dekh lena..phool, nariyal (coconut), maan k liye kapde, gold ki chain, maan ki dadi ke liye saree, aur dry fruits ki tokri, lifafe (envelopes) shagun dene ke liye aur baaki tum log dekh lena..jo bhi sahi lage. Aur haan phool wale ko pehle hi bol dena..bahar se nai..lekin ghar ko ander se flowers se decorate karna hai..espcly bhagwan ka mandir aur hall jahan pe rasm hogi.

Mohinder & Zor: Ji Ma..

At the same time in Khurana Mansion, Mumbai..

Dadi was giving instructions to Nakul..

Dadi: Nakul..kal tum bazaar se dry fruits ki tokri, envelopes, aur fruits ki tokri pack karva ke le aana..aur dekhna har cheez ek dum perfect ho..aur haan kuch sweets ghar pe bana lena..espcially motichoor ke laddu..aur job hi ingredients chahiye for its preparation market se le aana.

Nakul: Ji Dadi..

Dadi: Aur Maan kahna hai..

Nakul: Ji Maan sir to apne study mein hain..

Listening this Dadi rolled her eyes..seriously is ladke ka kuch nai ho sakta..books and office files ko kabhi nai chod sakta.

Acha tum jao..aur kal saman dhyaan se le aana..

Nakul: Ji..

Dadi moved towards study..where Maan was...

Dadi knocked the door and then moved inside..seeing Maan busy with office files or in dadi's words romancing with office files..she rolled her eyes..

Maan seriously ab bhi aap apni in boring office files ke saath romance kar rahe hain..said dadi..

While Maan who busy reading the file rolled his eyes..he kept the file and looked at dadi..

Maan: DadiMa seriously..aap na..meinn bas file ko padh hi to raha tha..

Dadi: Usmein kaunsi nai baat hai..office mein bhi to aap yehi karte hain..

Maan: Dadi to aap btaiye mein kya karu..

Dadi: Maan aapki shadi fix ho gyi hai ab..instead of romancing with these boring files..Geet ke saath romance kijiye..

Poor Maan he coughed and became red listening to his dadi..

Dadi: Are hum galat kya keh rahe hain..acha ye sab chodiye..humein kal shopping jana hai..aapke roke ke liye kapde wghrh lane hain..to kal no office..aapka time humara hai..aur haan meeting ka bahana (excuse) mat dena because humnein already aapke P.A. se sab pta kar liya hai..and kal ke saare kaam reschedule karva diye..so no excuse now. Ab to aap kal aa rahe hain na.

Maan: Mere pass aur koi option bhi to nai choda hai dadi aapne.

Dadi smiled listening to him.

Before leaving dadi asked him to call Geet once and talk to her. It will be like ice breaker and both would be little comfortable with each other at the roka. Maan nodded his head in yes.

How the week passed none knew as both the families were busy in roka preparation. It was the day for Maaneet's Roka.

Handa House, Bhopal

It was the big day...and everyone was busy with last minute preparations...because Khurana's would be here any moment...away from this entire hustle bustle...

Geet was lost in her own thoughts, she was nervous as well as excited. Today will be her life's turning point but in a good way. Today she will be officially engaged in a way with Maan. It will mark the beginning of pre marital rituals. Today will be the beginning of relationship between two families. Today both the families will discuss their (Maan & her's) marriage date. She was feeling as if thousand of butterflies are dancing in her stomach. She was getting Goosebumps.

ABC Hotel, Bhopal

Maan was getting ready for roka ceremony...his condition was no less than Geet's. Even he was little bit nervous as well as excited. After all it's going to be a big day. Today they (he & Geet) will enter into first step of their marital journey.

But soon he came out of his chain of thoughts and decided to get ready.

Soon Khurana's arrived at Handa's place. After greetings both families decided to start the ceremony.

Simi puttar ja Geet didi ko le aa..

Ji Mumma..said Simi and went upstairs to bring Geet..

When Geet was descending the stairs..Maan looked at her..and forgot to blink his eyes..

Maan's Monologue..

I was sitting at my future in law's place...waiting for Geet to come down so that our Roka ceremony can start...our first step toward our marital life..i was sitting and then suddenly her anklet voice attracted me...and i looked at the stairs...and then i forgot to blink my eyes...how can someone look so beautiful..She hardly applied any makeup...yet she is looking so beautiful.

Geet's Condition was no less..she looked at Maan just for a second..and she went gaga over his looks..but the way he was looking at her..made her blush..she turned crimson red..

Maan's Look..

Maan came out of his revive when everyone coughed to gain his attention.

Dadi: Maan, sab aapko kitni der se awaz de rahe hain..aap kahan khoye hue hain..??

Maan: Amm..!! Kahin nai dadi..

Everyone present in the hall smiled listening to him...they knew where he was lost but they pretended to seem convinced with what Maan said as they didn't want him to embarrass.

Simi whispered in Maan's Ear..

Jiju..waise kisi aur ko na sahi aap mujhe to bta hi sakte ho aap kahan or rather say kiske khayalon mein khoye hue the..??? and giggled saying this..she continued further..waise mujhe pta hai..ab kya hai na ki humari didi hai hi itni pyari..ki aapko unhe dekh ke lost hona hi tha..she giggled more..

Poor Maan..he was fully red being caught red handed..

Geet asked...her no with her eyes...and Simi stopped her teasing session.

Chaliye rasm shuru karte hain..said Dadi..

Rasm started with dadi doing tika of Geet and than adorn her with red chunri...post that she gifted Geet a saree along with a gold set and some cash in an envelope...which was her blessing. Then she gave fruits and dry fruits basket to Handa's.

Afterwards, Mohinder & Rano came forward...they applied tika on Maan's forehead...then they gifted Maan clothes...and cuff-links...envelope with some cash...after that both the families exchanged dry fruits and fruits basket..

Maan's Gifts..

After the completion of ceremony both the families congratulated each other...Maan & Geet took blessings of elders present at home...and elders blessed them whole heartedly. Elders suggested them to take blessings of god as well...and they did that. It was joyous moment for everyone...and why not...for Handa's their sweetest daughter is now engaged and the person with whom she is engaged is a gem. And same was the case with Khurana's...Dadi was over the moon as her long lasting wish to see Maan settling down is complete...and the girl is a gem...and her family as well..Maan got a family in Geet's family and Geet got a dadi in Maan's Dadi.

After the ceremony

Mohinder: Maaji..pandit ji ne 2 dates btayi hain shadi ke liye..

Dadi: Ji Kaun-2 si do dates hain..??

Mohinder: Ji ek to diwali ke 11 din baad ki hai..dev uthni gyaras ki..aur ek hai January end mein..aap btaien dono mein se kaunsi date ki shadi rakhein..

Dadi: Aapko kaunsi jyada sahi lag rahi hai..

Mohinder: Ji humare hisab to January end wali jyada sahi hai..Dev uthni gyaras ke din shadiyan bhi bahut hoti hain..to marriage gardens, caterers wghrh ki booking milna mushkil hai...baki aap jaisa theek smjhein.

Dadi: Humein bhi January end wali jyada better lag rahi hai..aisa karte hain..dev uthni gyaras wale din sagai rakh lete hain..aur shadi January end mein...kya kehna hai aapka.

Mohinder: Ji bilkul nek khayal hai..

And everyone congratulated each other once again.

Maaneet were happy...that they will get ample amount of time to know each other and understand each other...and by the time they would get married they won't be strangers.

After the date finalising they headed for lunch..Lunch was good affair...elders were discussing marriage plans...in between including Maaneet as well...Simi was giving her opinion for her Geet di's marriage.

Post lunch elder's decided to sit at the backyard area and chit chat...while Amrit suggested Geet to make Maan look around the house so the two can get time with each other.

Geet: Aap baithiye mein 2 min mein ayi..

Maan nodded..

After a while she returned..

Aaiye..she said with a smile..and they started strolling the house..she was saying him..which room was whose..and how fond her dadaji was of the house..and the place..it was his idea to keep some open space at the front and at the back..and he smiled listening to the story...lastly they came at the back side of her room..where a sofa cum swing was placed..to sit..

Baithein thodi der...asked Geet...while Maan nodded in acceptance.

They were in such a place that they can look at elders easily but elders can't see them.

Ammm..Maan aapke liye ek chota sa gift hai..hope ki aapko pasand aaye..with this she handed over him a pen set..well it was a parker fountain pen. Sorry gift wrap karvane ka time nai mila..

Its okk...and he opened it...he touched the pen set...the admiration in his eyes said it that he loved it...thnx Geet...i loved it...i'll surely use it..

Well...even i have a gift for you...saying this he forwarded her gift he bought.

Sure Geet..

As soon as she opened it...her mouth formed in a perfect o'.

Maan smiled seeing her reaction...seeing him smiling she closed her mouth.

Ye to..wahi watch hai jo mujhe pasand aayi thi..when i was helping Abhi Jiju for selecting gift for Pragya Dii.

Par aapko kaise pta..??

Well..!! Simi helped me...i called her a day before...asking her suggestion for choosing a gift for you...and she told me. So i selected this.

Thank You Maan, for the gift as well as for respecting my choice.

Geet hum dono jeevansathi ban ne jaa rahe hain..ek dusre ke..aur tumhi ne to us din kha tha na jeevansathi ke saath pura jeevan ache se bitane ke liye humein ek dusre ko smjhna aur ek dusre ki pasand na pasand ko respect karna chahiye said Maan.

She smiled.

They chatted for some more time on some random topics..after a while Simi gave a missed call on her mobile which means it was time for them to move inside.

After some time both the families bid bye to each other and Khurana's left for Mumbai.

The day ended well...both the families came close to each other...Maan & Geet understood little bit each other. They created memories...time they spent at the backyard, at the dining table, during ceremony. All in all it was good day. They thanked god once again and prayed to keep their happiness like this always.
