Geet stared absent minded at the coffeemaker thinking about today's happenings. Never ever she imagined such a behavior from maan's side. What made him change his tactics towards her?? Is it because of this challenge? Oh yea! Maan Singh Khurrana never backs out from challenge. He dint like when she rejected him. But she is not going to give in easily. Months of humiliation made her rough. She is not going to give into his sudden care and attention.
Maan keenly observed the lonely figure in the kitchen. He can't believe he created this situation. First he planned all this because his ego was hurt. No one rejects MSK. But then when he thought about it he can't blame her. He ignored her whole the time. He should have atleast met her once. In past, he has met only daddy's girls who have not earned a single penny in their life. But meeting Geet changed his thought. He made a little background check and realized she is a beauty with brains. All the employees in Handa industries praised her compassionate nature. She is the apple of their eyes. Other than that there is an air of vulnerability, innocence and feistiness around her. Such a rare combination! Surely he is attracted. But he wants to know will this attraction fade. And this arrangement will give him answers.
You know only to drool this coffeemaker or actually use it?
Geet snapped out of her thoughts and glared him. Picking up a cup she tapped the buttons for milk and coffee powder.
I take my coffee black.

She picked her cup up and walked past him.
Oh come on tesoro mio.. Its too bad to ignore your fiance's wishes.

She faked a smile and walked towards the living room. Cursing under his breath, he picked up a mug, poured himself a coffee and followed her.
We can be civil towards each other.

Suddenly he was far more near than she expected. His body slightly touching hers. Her body trembled with the sudden closeness.

She inhaled deeply. Too bad. His cologne mixed with her senses making her heart beat faster. Maan smirked sensing her defenses down. He knew his effect on woman. But one thing he dint expect is he is too affected. Her vanilla scent tantalized his senses. He stared her plump kissable lips. One taste wont be bad, right?
Geet stood up making him shocked.
I know I am too irresistible. Dont worry. I have enough self control for both of us.
Throwing his earlier words, she patted his check and walked towards their room. What the hell has happened! Did he lose his charm??
Geet locked the door and breathed heavily. She thanked all her stars for giving her strength to pull out from the spell. Now she knew how to tackle him. First point is whenever he comes near, she should not breathe the air around him. Second don't look in his eyes and focus somewhere between his brows. Third think about ugly cockroaches and lizards while his charm works. If these work perfectly, then she is safe. Right??
The whole day they dint cross paths. Geet spent the entire time arranging her clothes and other things. Maan ordered in food and they ate silently. He was lost in thoughts entire time and then left to study to work. Honestly speaking she did miss their little bantering.
Later at night, Geet was preparing for the night. She was dressed in her pajamas after shower. The bed was king sized which can accommodate two people well. She hoped she won't crawl to other part of the bed. That would be damn embarrassing! Maan is still in study. Hopefully, she will be able to sleep before he comes.
Getting under the covers she closed her eyes tightly. Suddenly she heard the door open and close. She dint dare to open her eyes. After some time the cover was thrown out of her head.
What the hell?

Oh my! He was wearing only tight boxers. His muscle packed body is under her line of vision.
Where are the rest of your clothes?
Rest? Can't you see I m wearing my boxer.
You call this small thing cloth!! Its like a child's bikini.
Maan burst out laughing.

Nope. I am serious. You have to wear atleast a shirt if you are going to be in the same room.
Chill geet.. Consider yourself lucky. Usually I sleep naked.
Great!! Now that was what I needed. A flash of naked Maan crossed her mind. Kill me now!
If you want I can remove this boxers too.
Oh please.. I know you like to show off your body. Now switch off the lights. I have to sleep.
Winking Maan occupied the other side of bed and switched off lights.

Yes khurrana. I m in deep sleep.

Suddenly the light was on and geet was glaring at him

Next second she marched out of the bed and came back with lot of cushions. Then she started to arrange it at the middle of the bed.

This is the great wall of china. And imagine I am the emperor Qin shi huang and I am protecting my territory from the intruding nomads like you.
Oh really!!then can this nomad try to climb the wall ?
Nope. Otherwise the emperor have to take drastic actions.
Okay. So today emperor can sleep peacefully. But in future we nomads will try to climb the wall.

Maan was standing in front of mirror in Annie home examining himself. Annie smirked to herself sensing his doubt.

None of the women resisted my closeness. But yesterday Geet did. She even slept throughout night snoring loudly near me while I was not able to sleep a wink.
Annie chuckled out loudly seeing him looking lost. Good god!! Geet is really good for his ego.
And where is Geet?
She left office without me. I had to meet you so came straightaway. But I am telling you, today I will get my answers, by hook or by crook.
