The Jinx

An object or person that brings bad luck.

It can take you days, months, even years to better your life but it only takes a second for you to ruin someone else's.

Prologue

No one is ever created to be perfect we all have some kind of flaw that makes us unique and make us who we are ...

Many times we curse our flaws and look at them with shame .

But , sometimes for d most blessed of us , God use these flaws to soften our spirit and turn us

into a kinder more beautiful and compassionate

soul ...

Part - 55

Half heartedly nd with disturbed mind Geet prepared dinner nd went to give U&A Sam ,, Geet witnessed that both d elderly couple was very happy nd planning things to go ,, both wr going out after yrs ,, Geet never saw them to go out of city leaving her nd manu alone ,, her eyes turned wet thinking how both took care for her ,, somewhere she felt good that they wr going out to get some happiness which they wished ,, she was matured to take care of things nd for how long they cd bound to her ,, after lil talk she came back nd found Manu nd Maan playing with blocks ,, Maan was teaching him how to make things with joining blocks ,, a smile crept on her lips seeing her child like this but next moment became sad thinking of d reality .

She placed d dinner on table nd called Manu to take dinner or cd say indirectly to Maan ,, Maan assured manu that they wd play after dinner nd brought him ,, Geet served him nd for her nd Manu .

D dinner was very quiet , only manu was chirping ,, Geet was avoiding direct talk nd look to Maan ,, though her avoidance was hurting Maan but he had to bear that ,, he made his mind to bear much more than this .

There Geet was making her mind to keep Maan away from her who was barging in ,, he was digging d roots which cd create tension for her nd for his family ,, there r many unpleasant things happened in life nd better to bury them for ever ,, she finished her work nd arranged few things for next day ,, waiting for Maan to leave who was busy with Manu ,, d atmosphere of home turned heavy .

Maan was with manu but he was watching Geet ,, her cold nd blank face was indicating him that there was a very rough way to pass ,, it was not easy to make her open her mouth nd d facts which wr buried deep in her heart ,, though he knew asking about those things wr refreshing her wounds but he had to do that ,, he didn't have any other option ,, he was ready to bear her wroth .

Geet opened her lappy nd started her work ,, she cdn't say anything hard in front of Manu ,, he was sensitive nd caught d things , started asking Qs so it was good if he slept 1^st or Maan wd go of his own ,, time was passing nd both wr grappling with their minds nd hearts ,, at last Manu slept nd Maan went to settle him in d bed ,, Geet closed d lappy to confront him clearly .

Maan came out nd find Geet standing in living hall ,, his tummy felt a pit ,, slowly he came close to her ,, before he said something Geet broke his hopes .

Geet: Mr Khurana , it's too late now ,, I think ab aapko bhi apne ghar jana chahiye .

Maan gave a painful look to her nd remembered how he nd DM forced her to stay away from him nd family ,, now she was returning him what they gave her yrs back ,, the difference was this that she was still very humble bcoz of dad nd mom ,, he garnered his courage .

Maan: i'll Geet , but after knowing d truth .

Geet harshly: but i'm refusing to share anything related to me ,, now leave .

Maan looked straight in her eyes : I won't Geet ,, u have to voice out .

Maan's stubbornness irked Geet ,, she didn't like his domination on her ,, how cd he force her ? She was not depend on him ,, she was not answerable to him .

Geet: who d hell r u ? u don't have any right to force me ,, don't forget u r in my house ,, those days left behind when I was bounded to bear ur orders ,, I bore u this much all bcoz of U&A ,, now don't test my patient nd leave from here ,, it'll be better for all if u keep u away from us .

Maan : i'll Geet , but u have to voice out once .. Manu's my son ,, just one reply , I won't ask u anything ,, plzzz admit it once .

Geet: I won't , now leave .

Maan held her shoulders nd spoke frustrated: No,, I want to know about mine nd manu's relation ,, d doubt of how much I ruined u ,, d doubt how I ashamed d humanity ,, d ...

Geet angered nd caught his shirt collar : why do u want to know when everything scattered ,, why do u want to put me again in that fire which burnt all my life ,, why this matter to u ? u did what u want now get lost from my life ,, ( she shook him nd tears rolled down from her res eyes ) .

Maan: it matters to me Geet ,, it matters to us .

Geet sniffed nd groaned : nahi , koi matlab nahi rakhti ,, koi jarurat nahi hei janne ki ,, jao yahan se .

Maan: mai nahi jaunga Geet ,, sun lo tum ,, mai nahi jaunga jane bina .

Geet: theek hei ,, to suno ,, jo tumhe shaq hei wahi sach hei ,, u ruined my life to take ur revenge ,, u punished me for telling u d truth of ur so called GF ,, u tarnished my soul to satisfy ur ego .

Tears rolled down from Maan's eyes listening Geet words ,, he lost all his strength ,, Geet was shaking him in anger nd pourig out her rage ,, jao aur jaker jeo apni zindgi apne pariwar aur dosto ke sath ,, ku aaye ho yahan..? ho to gaya jo tum chahaty thy ,, mujhe barbaad kerna aur us ghar se bahar phekna ,, ab to Geet naam ka curse tum sab ki zindgi se nikal gaya ,, ab tum sab khush ku nahi ho ? mujhse tum logo ko koi matlab nahi hona chahiye ,, aap logo ki zindgi alag hei aur meri alag ,, jao yahan se ,, dur raho hum ...

Maan spoke lost in grief : manu mera beta hei !!!!

Geet froze at her place ,, in her anger she cleared many things nd now d truth was in front of Maan ,, she never wanted to open her dreadful past , specially in front of Maan nd other Khuranas ,, this truth cd ruin d happiness of d family .

Geet (alarmed ): nahi , wo mera beta hei ,, Mr Khurana u had punished me enough for interfering in ur life nd insulting ur GF / Friends , hope u won't punish me nd ur family more ,, buried this all here nd go , otherwise u'll ruin rest of d happiness of ur nd ur family .

Maan: I ruined those already ,, geet tumne ek baar bhi kun ahi kaha ? ku chupaya etna bada sach ?

Geet: jab tum kuch jantey nahi ,, tumhe kuch yaad nahi , to bhool jao aur apni zindgi se matlab rakho ,, tumhe kya jaroorat hei janne ki ? hum kuch nahi lagty tumhare ,, jao apne ghar ,, waqt gujarne ke sath sath ye sab bhi bhool jaoge .

Maan slumped on his knees , broken nd ashamed ,, he lost all his strength ,, held Geet's hands ,, spoke in a broken voice with lower head nd wet eyes .

Maan: kaise bhool jau ? jab ye guilt mujhe hr pal kha raha hei ,, Kahan chala jau ? jab meri zindgi kisi se jud gai hei ,,, apne aap ko maar bhi du to bhi mei sach ko nahi badal sakta ,, aur kitna bhi chup raho na tum sach ko badal sakti ho ,,, Geet kya tum bhool sakti ho ki Manu tumhara beta nahi ,,, nahi na ,, fir mai sab kaise bhool jau ?

Geet remain quiet ,, she knew that things wr easy to say but hard to accept ,, when he came across with few fact of their past nd regretting for that then it wd be tough for him to forget so easily , but for his future nd family he had to .
