"Something is wrong with her... kahin uss din ki baat ko le kar to koi masla hai hua???" Maan thought while walking out of the corridor... "Lekin meine usse kaha tha k kuch bhi ho to she can easily tell me anytime.. aur agar yeh baat nahi hai to phir kya baat hai??? why is she so distracted?? Jo bhi ho, dimagh larane se behtar hai k ussi se pooch lun, phir niklun yahan se... I have lot of work to do.." Maan was still in his thinking process when he came outside in the canteen area where a huge crowd was gathered and that too with pin drop silence...

"Itne saare log aur itni shaanti??? koi mar gaya kya??" Maan chuckled raising his eyebrows and subsiding few students came forward to see where a brand new tragedy of his life was waiting for him... Samrat on his knees, proposing Geet...

Geet was in her other tensions, her mind was preoccupied with so many things and new fears already and now Samrat on his knees in front of her with a flower in his hand...

"What the hell??? How dare he???" A gush of anger hit Geet, she was at the range of yelling out at samrat for which almost everyone was ready... This is expected from Geet and even samrat knew that he did this for the dare purpose but he will be getting this soon and then will be apologizing her...

She tighten her hand with anger and was about to shout at Samrat first but her eyes suddenly fell on Maan who was standing there right in front of her at a certain distance... Her tight hand went loose, her heart started beating fast with the fear what he will be thinking about her... She felt like loosing out her soul from the toes, her whole body started trembling and she went pale... Tears welled up in her eyes as she went a bit dizzy... Few moments before, she cared about the whole world and samrat that how dare he did something like this but now in just few seconds everything changed, For her there was no one except He and She herself...Her eyes were begging him to say something, to believe on her, to take an action against samrat for her sake... It was all up to him now, he can safe her or he can destroy her but he didn't moved even an inch... This made her shatter...

"Tumne sab kho diya!! Yeh kya kiya??? Yeh kese hogaya??" Geet felt like whole atmosphere is shouting and laughing at her... How much she wished that moment that the earth will part away taking her inside... She was in the condition to faint at any moment, she has no more power to stand there and face him...

"What the hell is going on??" Maan thought as he saw the scene in front of him... He wasn't angry but shocked with this sudden thing and expecting some reaction from Geet... He was mature enough to understand that these sort of things do happen in collage and university life... He too has crossed that age and knew that these silly stupid thing doesn't matter... Except for his and her common friends no one knew about their relationship so it was obvious that her relationship status was single for others and a guy can easily approach her... For him what matters was her reaction... As far as he knows her, she was the one who can shout or slap a guy for this thing but instead she was just staring at him with moist eyes... He took a minute to realize what is happening to her, why is she getting pale and what is she expecting from him but it was too late as she ran away from there...

"Geet!" He tried to stop her but she was gone...

Abhi, Nikki, Prem, Additi, these 4 pair of eyes were fixed on him for his reactions now.. Andd for him a disaster has already taken place and she is gone... He closed his eyes taking a deep breath and then came forward...

"Abay isse rokna hoga... " Prem came back to his senses...

"Jao tum roko agar himmat hai to..." Abhi backed off, he knew the matter went out of his hands now...

"Kya ho raha hai yahan???" Maan asked sternly which made students came out of their trance..

"Sir!! i can explain..." Samrat stood up to defend himself, he was too embarrassed at that moment glaring at his friends who gave him that idiotic dare...

"Sir this was just a dare... humay nahi pata tha Geet itna serious ho jayegi... we thought wo bus thoda sa gussa karegi that is it!!" Sonia came forward with another explanation...

"Ab mein inko kya bolon??? There is no point of shouting at them!! Ab inhe kya pata k hota wohi jo inhun ne socha tha lekin mere aane se sab garbar hogai hai..." Armaaan slapped his head thinking about his wrong timing entry...

Additi and Nikki got more confused when they saw Maan letting go off the matter so easily and doing nothing...

"Geet se baat karni chahiye..." They both decided and were about to ran after her when Abhi stopped them... "Tum logon ki wajah se gai hai jo usske peeche ja rahi ho??"

"Excuse me?? jin se kuch expected tha unhun ne to kuch kiya nahi... ab humay jaane se kyun rok rahe ho??" Additi gritted her teeth while taunting at Maan..

"You simply can not interfere... yeh tum logon ke beech ka nahi unke beech ka matter hai and let me remind you yahan tum sab itne free ho ek doosre ko aye din aise dares dete rehte ho... so, there is no point of arguing with any one..." Abhi cleared his point which made Additi quiet...

Geet ran out of the campus gate with her trembling fragile body and stopped in front of the huge lake side situated in the middle of the park which was a huge green one opposite to the campus... As usual it was quiet there at this point of time as these were the working hours not relaxing one...so, it wasn't surrounded which much people there...

Geet went out of breath for a moment as she fell on the railing at the lake end... She tried to grasp some fresh air feeling like jumping into that cold lake water that will hide her in itself and will safe her from all those questions world will be asking her soon... According to her she was completely destroyed.. She had this fear with her that what will she answer to everyone when she will reach back home?? This relationship which was in its beginning stage why it just collapsed?? What he will be thinking about her and her character... First that picture in her register of some other guy and then this whole proposing thing, she felt like spiked hurting her throat, she was trembling before and now, she felt like her legs will breakdown any moment... They won't support her anymore, her eyes were filled with tears which was running down her cheek nonstop making everything blur for her... she felt like getting dizzy and and almost fell down...

"Kahan chali gai??? Geet!!!" He came out of the campus shouting for her... He didn't even saw her car in the parking area.. "Damn!!" He kicked away a pebble with his shoes in frustration... "Gadi bhi nahi hai uski yahan..." Maan looked away with a hostile face...

It was about 5 when he parked his car in the garage and taking quick and long steps came inside Khurrana Mansion and then straight in his room... Tension was visible on his face, anyone who will see him can guess about his bad mood...

Closing the door behind with a thud, he closed his eyes and sat down on the bed with his head in his hands... "Its getting out of my nerves... Yeh ho kya raha hai??" He asked himself... He was much frustrated than what his face was showing...

Feeling too dusky due to the dry weather, he removed his shirt and went for a bath... Under the relaxing shower, he kept thinking don't know for how long about today's incident but didn't came on any conclusion..."So jana he better hai!! or else i will surely get mad with this!!" He sternly told himself and stepped out of the bathroom...

"Hadd hogai ajj to... meine apna do ghanta bathroom mein guzara hai!!" He looked at the wall clock with widen eyes and then changing himself into some comfortable clothes, closed the lights, took a sleeping pill knowing these questions and confusion will not allow him to sleep but will surely turn out to be a headache for him and drifted off to sleep...

"Bhai!!!!" Dev started calling for Maan as soon as he reached back home...

"Ghar mein kadam rakha nahi k chillana shuru kardiya!!!" Dadi scolded Dev...

"Sorry!!! Par bhai kahan hai??? tabeeat theek hai uski??? phone bhi nahi utha raha..." Dev showed his concern for Maan...

"Kya??? Par Maan to ghar nahi aya... mujhe laga office mein hoga.." wrinkles appeared on Soha's forehead...

"Arre kahan mom!! Aj itni important meeting thi, jo bhai ko he conduct karni thi lekin bhai ne sab end moment pe cancel kardiya... koi wajah , kuch nahi bataya, infact phone he off kardiya apna... Aur gadi bhi to bahar khari hai bhai ki.. Aisa to nahi karta naa wo???" Dev got suspicious about this behavior of Maan...

"Hain??? Maan!!!!!" Soha called him loudly but got worried as she got no response from his side...

"Aap rukiye... mein dekhta hun..." Dev said and started climbing stairs towards Maan's room only to find it dark and Maan sleeping peacefully...

"Iss waqt so raha hai??? " Dev scratched his head and touched Maan's forehead to see if he has any temperature but found him all okay.. "Ajeeb hai!" A confused Dev closed the door behind and came down...

"Kya hua??" Tanya asked...

"So raha hai!!! bukhar nahi hai, shayad sir dard ho..." Dev thought of a possibility...

"Geet!!! What is wrong with you yaar??? ek to itni deir se ghar i ho ajj oopar se yeh jante hue bhi k nani ghar pe hain tum so rahi ho..." Nandini tried to wake up Geet...

"Nandini!!! let me sleep yaar!! Dimagh kharab nahi karo mera..." Geet shouted and covered herself with the comforter...

"Ajeeb hai!! Aj isse hua kya hai???" Nandini found Geet too stubborn today...

"Fine!! mein ja rahi hun... By the way!! Kal apke sasuraal wale invited hain ghar pe to uth kar kuch apne haathon se bhi bana lijye gaa... Apki dadi ka order hai!!" A pissed off Nandini glared at Geet and left...

"Uhhh..." Geet didn't paid any attention to her words and continued to sleep...

"Oye!! Maan kahan hai??" Akshay asked Dev with a frown on his face... Its been hours since they were back from office and there was no sign of Maan... Except for Dev everyone was in a bad mood because of Maan as it was a huge and important meeting which he just cancelled like that without even telling them a reason...

"Wo... bhai ki tabeat shayad kuch kharab hai... wo so raha hai..." Dev replied without moving his eyes from the T.V...

"So raha hai??? Mein dekhta hun.." Akshay got a bit worried about this unusual behavior of Maan... He was about to get up from sofa when he saw Maan coming down the stairs... He face was clearly telling that there is something big troubling him... He, not only looked stressed but disturbed as well...

"Maan!!! Tabeat theek hai tumhari??" Akshay asked with concern in his voice...

"Sab theek hai Dad!!" He replied with a straight face..."Bal ke... i am sorry!!! Aj kaafi important meeting thi, lekin mere sir mein bohat dard tha, i just couldn't make it.." Maan apologized along with a lie...

It wasn't just Akshay who was noticing Maan's changed behavior but the whole family... He kept himself quiet at the dinner table, lost somewhere in his own world...

"Arre... wo mein batana bhool gai!! Geet ki dadi i hui hain aj kal... Isliye kal hum sab ko unke yahan dinner pe invite kiya hai!!" Soha brought the topic to cheer up Maan who still didn't pay any attention to it...

"Oh ho!!! Yaani bhai ko ab saas ki saas se deal karna hai!! Kya baat hai!!" Rohail laughed out loud...

"O Hello!!! Tumhari baat ho rahi hai yahan!!" Dev nudged Maan...

"Kya???" Maan came out of his thoughts...

"Kyun??? itni khatarnak hain kya wo??? dekho bhai ko abhi se darr lag raha hai!!" Rohail teased Maan...

"Bakwaas bund karo apni... kaun khatarnak hai??" Maan gave an irritated look to Rohail...

"Lo... saari raat kahani sunai aur subha uth ke pooch rahe hain k zulekha mard tha ya aurat!!" Rohail taunted Maan...

"Tum yeh kahan se seekh kar atay ho ajeeb ajeeb ceezein...what is this zulekha??" Maan made a face...

"Bhai!! You have lost it!! Tum joke ko bhi seriously le rahe ho... hua kya hai??" Dev frowned... Rest of the family was quiet as they can see Maan coming back to normal...

"Oye!! Dimagh wese he ghooma hua hai mera... tum aur mat ghumao..."Maan gave an annoyed look to all...

"Kyun??? Aisa kya hogaya??? Aj sab he kuch ulta ulta kar rahe ho tum??? Subha ghar se nikle thai to theek thai.." Arjun cocked his eyes at Maan...

"Arre chachoo jane do please!!! I am not in a mood to talk about anything right now!!!" Maan showed is disinterest in the matter and simply finishing his dinner got up from his chair...

"Isse hua kya hai???" Akshay looked at Soha as Maan left...

"Pata nahi!!! Humay to yeh bhi pata nahi chala k wo ghar kab aya..." Soha was worried now...

"I don't know exactly what is it, lekin kuch garbar hai... phone bhi kab se switch off kar ke rakha hua hai... agar sir mein dard tha tab bhi wo batata to sahi... lekin he just called and said cancel the meeting, mein nahi araha aur phone rakh diya!!" Rohail complained...

"Tum dekho hua kya hai isse..." Dadi asked Soha to go and ask Maan about his problem...

"Kya yaar??? mera dimagh kharab kardiya hai iss sab ne... Mujhe abhi tak samajh nahi aya k meine ghalti kahan ki hai???" Maan confronted him self... "Ufff!!!" He threw the pillow over the bed and started walking randomly here and there in his room...

Flash Back...

He ran upto his car and shifting into reverse gear moved back his car for the U-turn when his eyes fell on a petite figure sticking to the railing at the lake side of the park almost ready to fell in or outside the lake... His eyes came out seeing her so not good condition..

She was about to fall back with her trembling legs and dizzy state when a pair of arms got a hold of her waist from the back not allowing her to fall down... She knew it was him, she can sense his presence, can identify his fragrance... Two fat tears landed from her eyes, she got more weak emotionally as he made her turn around... Still not able to meet his gaze on her, she landed on his chest and hugged him tight crying her heart out...

He was suddenly taken back with her action as he didn't expected this..There she was crying in his arms, the only support she needed right that moment and here he felt as if a wave of current hit him inside...He hesitantly wrapped his arm around her trying to comfort her and compose himself...

"Yeh chup kyun nahi ho rahi hai???LOL" He still didn't knew what to say and how to make her stop from crying... He was just not liking it in anyways...

"Geet!!! Stop crying!!!... Tum ro kyun rahi ho???" He managed to say somehow which made her realize about her position... Holding back her tears, she wiped them away and drifted apart from him...

She looked up at his face which was showing some mixed confused and worried expressions... "Stop Crying!!!" He almost ordered her this time in a strong voice and wiped away her tears with his index finger...He got enough time to compose himself and was now ready to talk to her...

She looked down on the grass as he provided her a tissue paper taking out from him pocket and then looked around to see people staring at them... "Huhh!!" He led out a deep breath and looked down putting both his hands on his sides only to realize that his shirt has got all wet from her tears...

"Geet!!" He said softly to make her look up at him but she was still busy in pouring out tears from her eyes... "Stop crying yaar!!! Tum ro kyun rahi ho??? Meine kuch kaha tumse???" He got annoyed with her constant crying without a reason... At least he was not able to identify even one...

"Yehi to baat hai k app kuch kehte he nahi hain!!!" Geet looked at him with hurt in her eyes...

"Wha????" He looked at her with narrow eyes not able to complete even a word...Again he can see people staring at them and can sense very well that a scene will be created here if he didn't controlled the situation...

"Yahan se challo..." He took a hold of her hand and pulled her to a side which was all covered with trees... Basically that area was still under development so, it was empty and even provided them a shelter from the other public...

"Aap please meri baat ko samajhiye... jo hua uss mein..." Geet tried to give her side of explanation but he cutted off in between... "Did i asked you anything???" He asked in a stern voice while glaring at her...

"Aap ghalat samajh rahe hain!!! Wo photograph Ria k fiance ki thi... mere pass ghalti se reh gai thi... Aur mujhe nahi pata samrat ne wo sab kyun kiya... Please believe me i wasn't involved!!" Geet again started and this time fast before he stops her again...

"Photograph??? kaunsa photograph???" Sh made him even more confuse...

"Wohi jo mere register mein tha, jiski wajah se app itne time se mujhe avoid kar rahe hain... Meine pehle bhi apko yeh sab batane ki koshish ki thi, par app to class lecture k ilaawa baat tak nahi kar rahe..." Geet turned her face to other side as one more tear rolled down her cheek...

"Mein tumhe avoid kar raha hun???? Yeh kab hua???" He asked passing a stupid look to her... "Aur kaun si photgraph, kis ki photograph??? Tum kahan se kya kya link kar rahi ho???" He made her turn around to face him only to see some fresh tears in her eyes...

"Geet!!" His voice was soft this time... "Dekho..." He cupped her face in his aplm.. "Mein yeh nahi keh sakta, k meine relationships handle karne mein PHD ki hai..." He paused and wipe away her tears once again... "Par itna zaroor jaanta hun k kisi bhi naye rishte mein bharose ka hona bohat zaroori hai... warna wo rishta nahi dhoka kehlaye ga..." He pressed his lips together and pulled her hands away from her face...

"Jaane anjaane sahi... par tum mujhpe kitna bharosa karti ho, iska saboot tum already mujhe de chuki ho... Aur yehi bharosa..." He took her hand in his making her shiver for a moment... "Mujhe tum par hai..."

"Pehli cheez, k meine koi photograph dekhi nahi... aur doosri yeh jo scene hua ander, i know it was wrong... Itna to tumhe janne laga hun k tumhari khamoshi parh saku, aur uss waqt mujhse kya chahti thi, yeh mujhe bohat achi tarah se pata hai... Par isse pehle k mein kuch kehta... ya kuch karta tum wahan se bhaag ai..." He tried to make her understand his point of view...

She looked up at him with a confused face... He was just not reacting the way she thought he will...

"Aur wese bhi... agar meine wo photgraph dekh bhi li hoti to kya??? kya ghalat samjhta mein?? Haan agar uss din baarish ki wajah se humne ek saath itna time nahi spent kiya hota, ek doosre ko zara bhi nahi jaante hote aur tab mein wo photograph ya canteen mein jo hua wo scene dekhta to shayad kuch ghalat samjhta..." He sounded a bit logical to her...

"Farq sirf bharose ka hai Geet!! And i trust you completely!!!" He said in a determined strong voice making her feel relaxed... Fears flew away from her heart just like that...

"Par phir app aise react kyun kar rahe thai pichle kuch dinow se???" Geet was still not completely convinced with his actions...

"Ufff!!!! Ladki!!" He slapped his head... "I Am Sorry for that!! I was hell busy with the office stuff and phir yahan tum logon ki classes... believe me!!! mera pass khud k liye time nahi tha aur phir mujhe thodi pata tha k tumhare dimagh mein actually chal kya raha hai??? Pata hota to pehle he clear kar deta!!" He shook his head and a small smile appeared on her face...

They were still standing there and Maan was in his own confusions when his cell phone started ringing... It was Rohail's call...

"Yaar!!! mein aj office nahi araha... just cancel tha meeting!!" Maan almost ordered as he picked up his call and then switched off his phone without listening anything further...

Flash Back Ends...

"Geet!!!!! Sab theek hai naa???" Nandini asked placing her books away on the side table...

"Haan... kyun???" Geet replied without moving her eyes from the ceiling... She was lying down on the bed playing with the tip of her hairs... A smile was there on her lips accompanied by frown.. She was in a much much better mood after taking a nap in the evening... It was Night time and she was now thinking about everything again with a calm and cool mind...

"To phir ajj itne gusse mein kyun thi???" Nandini raised an eyebrow while covering herself with the comforter...

"Meri marzi!!! Tum so jao!!" Again something aggravated her and a pout appeared on her lips...

"You know what????? BHAR MEIN JAO!!!!" A frustrated Nandini shouted and switched off the lights...

Turning her side, Geet closed her eyes and started thinking about Maan's actions for today...

Flash Back...

"Kahin aur chal ke baat karein???" He raised his eyes at her and kept back his mobile phone back in his pocket...

"Mujhe kahin nahi jana..." Geet pouted... she was too stubborn...

"Yeah Right!!" He pressed his lips together and almost dragged her out of the park towards his car...

"Betho!!" He said in a strict tone while opening the door of the car but acting too stubborn, she didn't even moved an inch...

"Tum bohat ziddi ho!!! Acha hai... abhi he saare raaz khul rahe hain..." He shook his head and made her sit in the car forcefully...

Taking the driver seat, he started the car and drove towards a beach area...

"Now calmly spill it out... k asal mein problem kya hai??? Mein tumhe ignore kar rah hun, baat nahi kar raha??? Who just told you this???/ Do i look like one too narrow minded and all??? Geet!! ek baat achi tarah se samajh lo... mein sunii sunaii baat mein believe nahi karta... I believe on thing which i feel right and logical!!!" Keeping his temper cool and calm he tried to make her understand what kind of person he is...

"But you could have acted anyways... Aap ke saamne he just proposed to me and you did nothing... Still you are not angry... why???? Iss baat mein kya logic hai and from which way do i take it positive????" All her shyness flew away in seconds and here she was ready to fight with him...

"You didn't gave me a chance to react... Aur gussa tab ata jab wo tumhare saath koi batameezi kar raha hota or he would have insulted you... Uss time pe agar mere liye kuch matter karta to wo tumhara reaction matter karta naa k wo jo samrat ne kiya..." He tried to explain her his views...

"Excuse me... ignore mujhe kiya, aur agar nahi bhi kiya to show to bilkul aisa he kiya tha.. secondly app wahan kuch bole nahi, aur ab mere reactions ki baat kar rahe hain... Mujhe baat he nahi karni iss topic pe... please drop me home..." She was in no mood to listen any excuse...

"Dekho!!! Tumhara dimagh iss waqt bohat garam hai... Go home, take some sleep, we'll talk later..." He gave up atlast and again started the car...

"Yeh sahi ki takrai hai mujhse..." He thought taunting himself...LOL

Flash Back Ends...

"Maan????" He came out of his flashback hearing Soha's voice...

"Jee???" He looked up to see what is it and found Soha standing at the door with two mugs of coffee in her hands...

"Coffee..." She gave him a mug which he took and kept aside...
"Kya baat hai??? kuch pareshaan ho???" Soha asked gently sitting down beside him...

"Mom!!!! Why a girl is so complicated???" He asked with a flushed face...

"Geet ki baat kar rahe ho???" Soha smiled lightly... "Kya Hua???" She asked...

"I don't know... Its really confusing... Kabhi wo bohat bold aur confident act karti hai, kabhi bilkul he nazuk sii ghabrai hui sii jese iss duniya mein pehli baar kadam rakha ho... Kabhi bohat mature aur kabhi bilkul he bachon jese react karti hai... Why is she so much complicated????" He held his head in his hands...

"Hahahahahahahaha!!!!" Soha started laughing...

"Aap hass rahi hain????" He pouted...

"Yehi hota hai beta!!! Agar tumnse sahi se observe kiya ho, to wo shy, nervous confused humesha sirf tumhe tumhari mojoodgii mein he dikhti hogi... maybe class mein nahi but outside where you are not her professor but the one with whome she will be tied in a knot soon... Aur yeh sab cheezein ek doosre ko samajhte samajhte he jaeingii..." Soha smiled at him...

"Tch!!! aap samajh nahi rahi... just take it today, kuch aisa hua jispe uska obvious reaction tha k confidence k saath situation ka saamna karti aur do minute mein sab ka dimagh durust kar deti... but as soon as she saw me she went pale... ulta baad mein jab meine zabardasti confront kiya to rone lagi... i know she wanted me to take a stand for her but still, wo situation aisi nahi thi k mein baat ko agay barhaya jaata... even she said k i was ignoring her... jese mujhe uski koi baat buri lag gai ho..." Maan doesn't wanted to disclose the full story but he put forward few facts infront of Soha...

"Dekho Maan!!! Tmhari koi behn nahi hai... warna shayad tum in baaton ko zyaada achi tarah se samajh paate... lekin phir bhi... Tum jis tarah se kaam mein involve ho... Beta!! hum jaante hain, kyun humay iss sab ki adat ho gai hai... but she is new in your life... Tum donow ko waqt aur saath ki zaroorat hai ek doosre ko jaane k liye... Tumhara busy schedule usse nahi pata hoga... aur apni jagah agar usse yeh ignorance laga to wo sahi hai... iss mein ghalat kya hai??? Yeh tumhari responsibility thi k tum usse yeh cheezein explain karte..." Soha tried to explain him a girl's point of view...

"Aur Maan!!! Jab ek ladki kisi pe iss tarah se bharosa karne lagti hai k usse usske saath apne ane wali zindagii bitani hai... to wo yehi sochti hai, yehi chahti hai k wo uski izzat ki hifazat kare, usse protect kare, uske liye stand le... Tumhare saamne usky shyness, nervousness sab bilkul obvious hai... Uski insecurities ko tum aise he nazarandaz nahi kar sakte... kyunki wo insecurities uske ander tabhi se janam lena shuru kardeingi jis din se wo tumhe accept karna shuru kare gi... wo tum ho jisse yeh sab door karna hai..." Soha tried to make him understand about the depth of this relation...

"Shayad app sahi keh rahi hain... mujhe uske point of view se sochna chahiye tha..." Maan nodded in a yes...
