Part-12

Present

Geet who was lost in her memories was brought to present with the very sweet voice of her life, her husband, making her to turn to him

M: Geet we are here

G: J..Ji said Geet distractedly lost in Maan's soothing voice, the tone which she heard only when he was with his friends

While this silence and lost behavior of Geet was having a totally different effect on Maan. It was making him frown deeper by the minute. He was already very annoyed being called dumbo by his wife not so long ago and now this indifference with her silence and distracted mind made him frustrated and thus he came out of the car banging the door shut aloud bringing along his wife out of her trance, but seemed like his wife is having a "stay stunned" day as the moment she came out of the car the view in front of her made her dazed, the warm and serene feeling it gave the moment she put her foot on earth was engulfing her completely because in front of her stood a charming big home, which had French architecture style with a small garden in the front and then the view it provided inside with bricked floors and beamed ceilings made her mesmerized.

While she was charmed with the house, the man standing beside her was no doubt charmed and bowled by her beauty that is so innocent and sweet with the beautiful smile that always stays on her face.

M: You like it??

G: I love it Maanji...everything is so classy and homely

M (smiles): It is designed by Maa. She always wanted to have something resembling French architecture as she was very much fascinated with its intricacies said Maan who all the while was holding a photoframe of his parents and seemed to be lost in those sweet moments of past as his wide smile is suggesting

You know when I was a kid, we all used to come here every month to spend some together away from all the work and studies. Me, Maa and Papa use to play a lot and have fun, sometimes Dadi used to join us, and in the evenings Me and Papa used to swim and at times cook dinner giving rest to Maa said Maan while caressing the photograph in his hand and the sweet smile lingering on his face.

He was so lost in his past memories that he failed to notice when Geet came and stood beside him listening to him with happiness brimming in her heart and reflecting on her face seeing him sharing his most cherished moments with her, which in a while turned into deep frown seeing the pic he was holding

G: Yeh toh Mom-Dad nahi hai

Maan was startled hearing those words and seeing Geet beside him but after a minute or so of contemplating he wished to share this hidden truth of his life with his wife

M: Haan...yeh mere Maa aur Papa hai

G: Ji..?? asked a confused Geet

M: Geet the persons in this photograph are my parents. They left me when I was 12 and from then chacha-chachi took care of me, dadi and business said Maan leaving Geet numb but the silence that followed his words made him restless. He knows that he will never pity him for his loss but her being silent after listening to him made him disturbed and restless, but when he looked at her all he could see was pain and worry for him in her eyes leaving him lost in them.

G: Iam...I am sorry. I never knew...said an emotional Geet

M (sensing her worry): Don't worry Geet...I am absolutely fine assured Maan with a sweet smile making her relax a bit.

G: You are lucky Maanji as Mom-Dad are with you who love and care for you. They were there to support you keeping the hope alive in your life and that of KC, bauji's dream, too till you could take it over and bring it to peak as it is now with your hard work along with Dadimaa's blessings and of course Maa-bauji's love and blessings too.

Maan could just smile hearing his wife and silently lead her way to show her room, but Geet could sense pain and hurt in that smile, but thought its wise to not probe the matter further as he was just opening up to her not as a husband but as a friend somewhere and she did not want to upset him and and make him coil in his shell again

After they settled in their rooms and freshened up, they had a quiet dinner and a more silent yet beautiful walk before they hit their beds calling it a night.

The new morning with sun shining bright and birds chirping melodiously seem to keep the happy atmosphere of last eventful evening as the lovely couple wished each other a beautiful morning with no hesitation or awkwardness but sweet smiles and settled themselves in their chairs to have their breakfast which no doubt was as silent as ever but with a difference of Maan glancing at his alluring wife time and again and also noticed her restlessness from the time they came in the dinning hall. It seemed to him she wanted to say something, which she finally did seeing Maan almost done with his breakfast

G: Ji..

M: umm

G: Is it fine if I look around the house...I haven't completely explored the place

M: Sure said Maan walking out of there leaving a cribbing Geet behind

Sure...just sure!! Dekha babaji unhone sirf sure kaha...yeh nahi ki, I will show you around Geet..huh..chaddo Geet unhone jawab diya wahi zyada hai...koi nahi Geet babaji haina tere saath woh tujhe company denge...haina babaji saying she made cute faces looking upwards making sure her babaji doesn't ditch her and bringing a sweet cute smile on her hubby's lips who lingered around the hall and listening to her innocent and cute talks unknown to her

It has been an hour that she is sitting here and making me uncomfortable with her continuous staring or disturbing me with her constant moving in front of me...can't she just come out with whatever is their in her little head thought a frustrated and annoyed Maan but in his heart he was liking and feeling nice with her admiring gaze

M (burst out getting irritated with her stare): What??

G: What...What??

M (controlling his anger): What do you need Geet??...instead of roaming and staring at me why don't you just get out with it or are you planning to spend another hour doing the same.

G: Why are you yelling at me like that? It is your entire fault that you look so handsome I could not just stop myself from staring at you and moreover I am roaming around here as I don't know what else to do. You are packed here in your study leaving me alone, no one to talk to, and there is no television in this big cottage and I have already had around 2 to 3 hours good sleep after exploring the place like "n" times, so I kinda of am hell bored said Geet finally taking a deep sigh to bring her breaths to normal after her express expressing views silencing Maan yet again.

Only when Maan left has she realized what she has said in the flow of the moment...Maan ne thodi se kya freely baat karli Geet tu unhe itna kuch suna diya aur upar se apne drooling openly accept kar rahi thi who bhi chilla chilla kar...with that thought she realized the gravity of the moment passed and the truth of their relation and Maan's views about it...babaji yeh maine kya kardiya, pata nahi ab mere jwalamukhi kab aur kaise phategene...meri raksha karna babaji

M: Geet get ready we are going out for shopping

G (shocked): Ky...Kyaaa..??

M: Will you stop over-reacting and get going. I am waiting in the car...you got 10 minutes...saying Maan walked off leaving his stumped wife behind
