Part 1

1985, Amritsar, Punjab.

Geet Handa, girl from the royal and traditional family of Amritsar, was sitting inside her school, waiting for it to get over, she was looking around, tapping her feet, scrolling the papers in her note, biting her pen, "Baba ji, please, please, make the class get over na, please," Geet prayed and the bell rang up sending music to her ears, "Thank you Baba ji" Geet shouted out loud, making her classmates and the teacher look at her with shock,

"Sorry" she said and started to run away with her bag, "Move, move, move" Geet shouted up as she run up parting the crowd, "Geet, Geet" her friends shouted up, "Sorry, can talk tomorrow" Geet went away, the happiness in her face was sparkling up, Geet run like an wind, but stopped when she saw her lovely sister, "Rachi" Geet smiled big, "wow, Geet di, you were all smiles today" Rachi said, "yes, yes" Geet said smiling more,

"oh oh, what special today, oh, wait a minute, I know, your angry king is back from training, right" Rachi asked and Geet smiled big and nodded an yes, "ok di, how will you meet him," Rachi asked, "oh, Papa said he will take us to the bazaar today, near the dam, so will meet him there" Geet said shocking Rachi, "Are you crazy di, if anyone finds out, they will burn us alive, specially Breej Veer ji," Rachi said, "you don't worry about that," Geet said,

"and even if you go there, what's the guarantee that you anger king will be there, how will he knew that you are coming there" Rachi asked, "if you like someone so much, there's no need for any words or message, they will just know what each other thinks" Geet said, "oh, oh, Geet di, what an dialogue" Rachi said, "ok, ok, let go, home soon," Geet said and pulled her sister with her, "Baba ji, save me from my didi, she will definitely get me killed some day or other" Rachi prayed up out loud,

As they reached the home, Geet and Rachi turned quite and they walked slowly inside, and wished everyone and went towards her room, "Geet beta, get ready soon, your papa will be here to take us all to the bazaar," Geet's mom said and went away and Geet locked the door and started spinning around the room, and went and stood before the mirror, and opened the drawer and took an locket from it and held it up, "Hey, I know you would also want to meet me, I am coming to the dam site, you better be there, because I am risking my life to meet you, ok," Geet said and smiled and went and laid back on her bed and closed her eyes, as her mind ran her up their first meeting,

"Geet, did I say like that, we will not do anything against your wish ok, now get ready as you aunty said and enjoy the function, you no need to think anything else" Geet's mom said, "Maa, but I am telling you, I want to study well, so well," Geet said and her mom said an yes and Geet changed the dressed and her mom to decorated her like an little bride, "Geet di" Rachi came up, "Baba ji, you are looking so beautiful, now come on na, let's go out, they are dancing and celebrating" Rachi said,

Geet slowly climbed down her balcony and slowly walked towards the celebration, she stood behind the walls and saw everyone are dancing and enjoying, "Baba ji, what is this, what kind of rules you had made for girls like me, when the whole family is enjoying, I should hide and watch them like an thief, Geet thought feeling upset, but still she enjoyed the party, how her so call strict brother is enjoying with his friends, drinking and dancing, "Guys" she thought,

Geet ignored the male troop and was enjoying the way her little sister and her friends and her cousins and relatives where enjoying, "oh, oh, Rajveer uncle dances this well ah," Geet looked at her favorite person in the village, he was the only one she saw who treats boys and girls equally, "Ok, Ladies and girls, Mehandi function is going to be started so all the ladies and girls come in and guys stay out" Geet's aunty announced, "Baba ji," Geet thought that her mom will now come to her room to call her, and rushed towards her balcony,

Geet stopped shock as she saw Breej's friends near the pipeline under her balcony, from where she was suppose to climb back in, "Baba ji, what will I do now" Get thought, Looks like I had to go around the house to get into the back door, without anyone noticing and join the Mehandi function," Geet thought and rushed to go around her house, through the guest room, believing that everyone will be in her house, but as was rushing up looking around scared,

Geet dashed on someone and turned to looked at the young hard face, with anger boiling eyes, Geet stood frozen looking at the new face before her, the guy too kept staring at her, and Geet felt an nervousness, looking at those dark eyes, but it was not fear, as she liked to look into it, after a long time, Geet's mind stricken the reality in to her, "Baba ji" she said out loud, "what the hell are you doing here," his voice roared up, "shh, please don't shout" Geet begged, remembering her brother and his friends are still outside,

"who are you" he said again, "Geet, Geet Handa" she said slowly, "Oh, The great Handa family ah" he said and from his voice it was clear that he doesn't like her family, "Great, your brother, keep on putting rules for all the girls in this area and his own sister is sneaking out like this, and don't know what you are up to, wait, do you have an lover" he asked shocking Geet more, "Enough, who are you to ask this, and I don't have any lover," Geet said out disgusted by his question, "then what are you doing outside, does your brother knew that his own sister is breaking up the "disciple" rule" he asked,

"Enough, don't talk about my brother like that, and well, how different are you from my brother, you too think that girls are subjected to the rules, that they don't have any heart at all, today there is an function in my house, my brothers marriage, and I don't have the right to join the celebration, because I am a girl, and I have to follow an list of rules, I should forget my dreams, wishes, hopes everything and start following what others says just because I am a girl, as if I don't have an heart of my own," Geet poured out her heart,

"well why am I telling you all this, as if you will understand, you are too an guy right, and will think like an guy only" Geet said and walked away, and started running towards the back door still thinking about him, "I just hate him, look how he spoke" Geet thought, and she stopped shocked as she saw some people there too, "Baba ji, why are you trying to punish me, now how will I go inside, I am sure by now, Mama must have started to search for me" Geet thought as an fear hit her heart, Geet walked up slowly not knowing how to go inside as all her emergency way was locked up by her relatives,

Suddenly she felt and strong hand pulling her and pushed her towards the wall, Geet's eyes widen up as she saw the same guy whom she saw an few minutes ago, "did he got offended, will he misbehave with me, Baba ji, what will I do, should I scream, what if he hurt me if I scream, will ask him sorry, and warn him that I will scream up if he doesn't leave me" Geet thought, "Listen" Geet started but his strong and hot hands covered her mouth, Making her eyes widen up more in fear, her heart started to beat too high,

"Shut up, Breej is here" he warned her insisted, "why the hell is he warning, why should I hide from my Veer ji," Geet thought and then it clicked her, "yes, I had to hide from Veer ji, if he sees me out, he will kill me, that means this guys is trying to help me," Geet thought and her racing heart calmed down, after a minute or so, he took his hands out, "what the hell are you still doing outside," He asked scaring her, "oh, I don't know how to go in," Geet said, "what, how did you come out then" he asked,

"I jumped from my balcony" Geet said and he sure was shocked by her answer, "but now, everywhere Veer ji's friends are there" Geet said, and the guy looked around, "come on" he said as he held Geet's hands and took her near her mango there, "climb up and see that branch running into your house, go on," He said, "how to climb this tree" she said "and what if someone sees me there" Geet asked shocked, "then why the hell did you come out" the guy shouted up, how could you be so brainless, without thinking about anything, coming out and now, crying with the problem," he yelled up,

"I am not crying" Geet said, and the guy suddenly jumped up on to the tree, "come on, give your hand" he asked and Geet thought for a second and she too raised her hand, as there is no other option than to trust him, and he caught her hand and with one quick pull, Geet was sitting near him in the tree, her eyes shined up and her heart stopped for a second as she was feeling the heat from his body, she had never been so close to any guy like this nor any guys had the guts to come close to her knowing she is Breej Handa's sister, he then stood up and crawled up on the long branch leading into her house, "Baba ji, how will I do it" she thought,

"Come on" the guy said, "no, I might fall down, I can't" Geet refused, "great" he said and stood up on the branch and balanced himself well, "see, nothing to fear, come on," he said and let out his hand, "trust me, come on" he said, Geet too nodded and caught his hand slowly and he slowly pulled her slowly and as she came near him, he turned around, "hold my back" he said and he walked slowly and Geet too followed him holding his shoulders, as they reached the end he jumped in and looked around,

"No one's here, come on," he said and Geet too was above to jump, but she slipped and fall on to him, pushing him to the floor, he looked at her shocked and Geet too looked at him shocked, Geet could feel his body as she was fully laying on him, and she shivered up, till now she wasn't even touched by any guy and now, but this felt so different and she was 100% sure that he could too feel her as his breathing got hot and fast and Geet felt an shiver all over her body, with a quick pull Geet stood up from him, but her dupatta was struck with him, Geet turned around and covered her front with both her hands, she suddenly felt exposed, it felt like an crime,

Geet closed her eyes and felt like crying, until she found something covering her skin and she opened her eyes to find that guy was covering her with her dupatta from behind and she turned around to see him, "I think now you can go in without stepping into any trouble, and next time when you want to get out, make sure to use your brain, if you have one," he said and went away, leaving Geet burning with different emotions, Geet saw him jumping down the tree and walk away, and turned around to see an locket on the floor,

"what is this" Geet thought as she took the locket, "it must be his" Geet thought and held the locket in her hand, "but who are you, Baba ji, did you send him to help me, no, no, if you would have send me, then he would not be yelling at me like this" Geet thought, "such an weird Guy, yelling and also helping, but he is different from other village guys, if I ever had spoken like this to any village guy, then he would have complained to Veer ji, or definitely would have stabbed me to dead, but this guy is different, Baba ji, why am I analyzing his character," Geet smiled up and went away,

"My Locket, where did it go, must be dropped somewhere in that Handa's place," Maan thought, it was an symbol of his mother's love, as she left him, it was all he have from her, Maan jumped up and rushed out and took his jeep and ran towards Handa Mansion, the Mansion was silent as it was quite late night, Maan was happy as there was no disturbance and stared to search for his locket, as he couldn't find out, "did I drop it inside" Maan thought and went to the tree and climbed up and jumped into the house,

Maan looked around the place but he couldn't find it, "will go and ask Geet," Maan thought, "but at this time," he paused, "right, this is the right time, morning all I would have wide awake and I will not be able to speak with her" Maan thought, "but where is her room" Maan thought and slowly walked up, he checked in each room, and he was so quite not disturbing anybody, suddenly he heard some noise and he just jumped inside the nearby room, and locked the door, suddenly he heard another door opening and he turned around to see the bathroom door inside the room was opening,

Maan immediately got under the bed, "looks like someone's in here" Maan thought and he caught his breathe as he saw an wet pair of beautiful feet walking down the bathroom, and it walked passed him, after a few minutes, the lights went out, and Maan waited for some more minutes and then slowly got out of his hideout and looked at the bed and the sight made him froze up, it was Geet sleeping well, Maan's mid skipped an bit looking at her shinny face, she looked like some angel,

Maan climbed up on the bed, "Geet" Maan called slowly, "Geet" he called again as he didn't get any response, "Geet" Maan said a bit aloud and Geet freaked out, "Ah, ah, ah" Geet freaked as she got up, "Geet it's me Maan" Maan said, "Who Maan, I don't know any Maan, get out of here or else I will call my Veer ji" Geet warned, "Geet," Maan roared, "Veer" Geet try to scream and Maan hover over her and closed her mouth in one hand and her hand on his other hand and pinning her back to the bed,

"Geet" Maan roared and she now looked at his face and frozen up, her heart beat to the maximum, "is she still dreaming, from the moment she saw him, she is having only his image before his eyes and his dreams, and she thought it's continuing", Geet relaxed and stared into his big eyes and Maan too felt that he was melting to her gold gaze and her soft lips was moving under his hard hand, Maan after a few minutes took his hands away, "Hey, you can't always come here before my eyes, it's wrong you know" Geet said making Maan puzzled,

"What, Geet, I need my locket" Maan said, "shh, look get out of my eyes" she said, "Geet, give back my locket," Maan said and he sat up, "Hey, get up," Maan said as he pulled Geet up, "wait a minute, you name is Maan, hmm, I thought we dream, only with the information's we know but you are saying you name, which I don't know, my dream is weird," Geet said, "Dream, Geet, it's real" Maan said and pinched her hand slightly, "Ah, it's paining" Geet said, "Yes, that's because it's not a dream, stupid girl"

"ah, that means you are really in my room" Geet freaked out, "you were dreaming about me" Maan asked slowly, making Geet blush for a second, but she control, "look here, it's not right to come into an girls room like this, at this time, and if my Veer ji sees it" Geet said, "I am not afraid of your veer ji, now, Give my locket," Maan asked, "what locket, I didn't find any locket in the balcony" Geet said and looked at him, "I didn't say I lost my locket in the balcony" Maan asked eyeing her with suspect, "Maan, get out now" Geet said,

"Geet, My locket," Maan demanded, "I don't know, just go now," Geet said, "Geet, Geet" Geet's mom knocked her room, "Mama, Maan, Maan, please go away" Geet begged, and held his hand and pulled him to her balcony, "My Locket" Maan asked, "will give you tomorrow, wait for me at the dam site, I will bring the locket, now Go" Geet said, "Geet Beta, open the door dear" her mom said, "please, please" Geet begged, "ok, now I am going but tomorrow, if you didn't come, then I will come to get my locket" Maan said and jumped from her balcony,

As Geet was walking up in the forest road, looking at the thick woods around her, she stopped suddenly as she heard some noise, frozen in fear,
