Maan looked at the place where Geet was sitting few moments ago. He could feel her presence and it made him restless. Annie took Ami from him and they went to the crowd of little girls who were having cute flowers made on their little palms. Ami's eyes brightened as she saw that and sat obediently with Annie waiting for her turn. Maan turned around and saw Geet talking to some elderly lady, one of Pinky's buas he recognised. His eyes scanned her from top to bottom. She looked innocently seductive in that saree and her hands which she spread out unconsciously because of the mehendi. It was a sight that took his breath away. Unlike their earlier days, her body had grown fuller more like a woman and the sensuality oozing out was intoxicating. His eyes made no attempt to hide his desires and it made her restless even if she wasn't looking at his direction. Now and then she looked at him from the corner of her eyes and Maan was gaping at her shamelessly standing right in the middle of the crowd. It was so obvious that people were now noticing him and giggling amongst themselves. Geet excused herself and went upstairs. At the last stair she tripped on her saree and it came out a bit loose as her foot accidentally pulled the end of her saree. Geet slowly walked towards one of the rooms. If she didn't take baby steps the saree would have opened any minute. She stood in front of the mirror and tried to adjust her saree with her elbow but it was nearly impossible. She looked at her hands decorated with the mehendi . It was still wet; no way could she use her fingers even lightly. It would ruin her saree. She pouted just like Ami when her pajama strings get loose and she don't know how to tie it back. Then she looked at the mirror and froze as she saw him walking towards her in a trance. Geet wanted to hide somewhere. If it wasn't for her stupid saree she would have tried to go under the bed. Too late as he was standing just inches away from her. His hands aimlessly roamed around her bare waist and she sucked her breath in. He came in front of her and knelt down. Geet stood there looking away as he gently arranged her fleets and got up holding it. He paused for a moment and then tucked her saree in her waist sensually. Geet let out a gasp as his fingers brushed her belly button. He withdrew quickly and neatly covered her saree properly. He turned her towards the mirror and stood behind her, his body touching hers. His fingers grazed her arms slowly and he moved her waist-length hair to her bosom revealing her almost bare back to him. His fingers further towards her nape and down to her back. Geet couldn't hold any more and she moaned, "Maann..koi a jayega.."
Maan kissed on her shoulder bone and she arched her back towards him.
Geet : Please Maan..
Maan whispered in his sexy throaty voice, "you promised to talk today!"
Geet took a deep breathe, "we are not talking.."
Maan smirked and rested his chin on her nape, "that's not my fault. If you look so beautiful , how can I just talk, huh?"
Geet blushed and looked away from the mirror, "Mujhe jaana he.."
Maan : zidd mat kro Geet! I can make you stop!
Geet looked at him questioningly. He almost hurt her pride.
Maan gently whispered in her ears, " Phir se saree khol du?"
Geet looked shocked and then she closed her eyes tightly as her cheeks turned pink.
Geet : Don't you dare!
Maan : ok. Then sit back and lets talk!
Geet was already hypervenillating as Maan's hands were freely roaming around her curves. His intimacy was something that she could never resist. They craved for each other like mad always and today were no different. She never understood how he managed to get her undivided attention every time. She could feel his hardness and he pressed her closer to him. The warmth breath falling on her cheeks was making her mad. But reason had to take over now or she would never let him stop. She forcefully drifted her body away from him and stood a few feets away from him. Maan did not understand her rejection.
Maan : Geet, I didn't mean to force myself. I thought you wanted me...I mean it sounds stupid, but your eyes always tell me how much you need me. I thought you too..I mean..Geet..I thought you don't hate me anymore!
Geet : I NEVER hated you Maan! It was you..It was all you!
Maan :ok! Calm down Geet! I admit that I was terribly wrong and I didn't know what devil made me think about you like that. But Geet people do change! They learn from their mistakes. And I know very well what it is to lose you. I can't do that again! I have thrown away all my happiness once but now I won't let that happen. I want you and Mia! You two are my world! Geet, if not for me you need to come back for Mia! She loves you! You are her mother, for crying out loud!! How can you abandon her now?
Geet : I am not abandoning her in the streets like you. She is at home and I know she will be safe with you
Maan : be safe? And what about being happy? Or is it that you don't care because she is not your own!!
Geet : ENOUGH MAAN!!! Get out of that narrow mind of yours!! Look outside YOU and your WORLD!! Why is it always about YOU? YOU can't live without me! YOU care about Mia! Where was your love and care when you called her a bas***d!!
Maan winced painfully, "Geet.."
Geet : Where was your love or at least humanity when your wife pushed us to the streets!! You think its easy to get over all that and pretend that nothing was ever wrong only because YOU LOVE us now!! Just the thought that I would have been unfaithful made you act mad! You were angry because I was not loyal in our relationship, he na? And what did you do? You got married in front of me! You slept with her Maan! You threw me out of your house! You froze my account and left me starving with a kid whom you don't even care!
Maan listened to her quietly. Words failed him. The pain he felt was immense but he knew that he deserved it. It felt nice as if someone is trying to sooth their pain by hurting the same wound again. He could bear the deep ache in his heart if it meant that his Mishty was slowly and unknowingly breaking that huge wall built between them by pouring her heart out like that. It meant that she was complaining and that she thought that he was worthy to listen to her pain. It satisfied him to stand there as her convict and hear every curse that she would utter.
Geet continued her blast as he stood there his head hung low, "Just one question Maan! If I were you and I turned up after five years saying that Maan I still love you but yeah, I had a one-night stand with my ex-husband five years back. That doesn't mean anything and we can be happy together! Will you accept me? I know what you will do and I have lived it once! You called me a s**t and now what should I call you, huh?? Now after all this you are asking me that I don't care about Ami? Do you know how much I have sacrificed to bring her up in the standards of a Khurana? "
Now this was the point which shook some part of Maan's brain like an electric shock. He couldn't help but ask, "Why do you always want her to be a Khurana?"
Geet went quiet at his innocent yet relevant question. She didn't know what to say and how to say. But before he could ask more, the door opened and came a shrill voice, "mummaaa..papaaa.."
Both of them were startled and turned around.
Geet immediately ran towards her, "Ami did you come up the stairs all alone? Bacha why are you so careless?"
And she glared at Maan silently accusing him for leaving her alone. But Ami was cool as a cucumber.
Ami : Chill mom, I'm not alone. Lisa brought me here.
Geet : and where is she?
Ami : there
She pointed outside. Lisa came in with an apologetic look on her face.
Lisa : I told Mia that you two would be busy but..she won't listen
Ami looked at Geet and then at Maan.
Ami : Mumma you were crying? Kyu?
Geet : nhi re..wo mehendi eyes me gayi..
Ami got excited at the word mehendi ,"Mumma..see what I have got in my hand!!"
Geet looked at her little hand which had three beautiful sunflower shapes made.
Ami called out, "papa ap bhi dekho na.."
And so the parents sat holding Ami's hand and admiring her.
Ami : mumma papa come on, music has started there already!! Come on, you have to sing and dance!! Its first time we are all here for a party!!
Geet : Ami! Mumma is not well. I can't..
Ami rolled her eyes at her mumma's dramebaazi. She showed her walker and asked, "I am not well. So you two will sing and dance for me!!! Chalo chalo chalooo"
Ofcourse, the persistent kid got her parents downstairs but still looking at each other bewildered.
The music started playing and Maan looked at Geet expectantly. She turned away her expressions defensive and her heart beating faster at the contrast. And then he started dancing as the music played.

His eyes were only on Geet who was looking everywhere but him.
