~Readers & Writers...both helds the same importance to eachother~

Hi guys..
me shona..am here again to say something. Usually i dont speak on this topic but for some reasons..i want to share my view on this topic today..hope u guys 'll understand.

We all are very well awear of the latest happenings in GF...(many writers are quiting). And everyone has their own views & opinion about it!
As far as, in my knowlege...somewhere readers are being blamed for it and for some writer too are at fault...(let me clear it..that i am not blaming any of them here..)
and we arent getting any solution from all this!
In my view..
A reader is as important as a writer. Infact they both are like two sides of the same coin..the one is incomplete without the other.
A writer needs readers to share his/her imaginative world with them and from whom they could get encouragment and support through their reviews...to do better everytime.
Similarly,
a reader needs writers..who can make them relax &entertain them with their fantasies and creativity..and who can take u on a beautiful journey to their own imaginative dream world.

If a writer dont hav readers..then with whom he'll share his works?
And
if there are no writers..what a reader is going to read then?

I think both the sides should understand eachothers importance and respect eachothers emotions too...

* as a reader, one should know that they atleast need to share their view on the stories they read.
* may be for u.. Ur opinion on that story doesnt make any difference.. But for the writer..it makes a huge difference.
*if not for any other reason.. Atleast do it to let them know that u r following their work and appriciating it!
* as many feel they are not able to express themselves in words.. It isnt that big of a problem..
I would say...just try a little.. And ya..instead of posting same repeatative words.. Mention/point out the things that u liked the most in the update.
That way u wont hav much trouble forming words and the writer as well wont be complaining of "one word comments"
*and if u hav any problem/quiry about the stories.. try to ask the writers in a polite way or discuss with them personally..dont let it to be a big issue.
*ahh..i think thats all for now.. Happy reading..;)

as a writer..
* when u expect ur readers to drop a comment...do keep in mind that some of them might be expecting a reply from u as well.
* a reader feels diappointed and unwanted when he/she doesnt get a reply from their fav writer.
*ur one reply can encourage them and in return u can get a active and precious reader.

* Let me share something..
When i was new to the forum..i was scared n hesitant to comment..despite that i tried to..but i never got the reply from the writers like other regular readers.
But then one day i posted a comment for a story..and when i least expected...that writer replied to me! And It wasnt out of formality or name sake.. Infact it was a warm welcome to a new reader. Not only she(the writer) appriciated my view/commenting..but she also accepted me as her friend.
She was the very first friend i got here on IF.
She made me comfertable here..And i never hesitated from talking to new ppl after that.
I am really proud to hav her as my friend..her name is Frankie..u may know her as "MUSIC_GIRL"

*dont be partial with ur readers..if u are replying..reply to all or just dont reply at all. I know replying to all takes time...but then u dont want ur any reader to feel ignored or of less importance..right?
* or u can opt other ways to acknowlege them..like mention their names in a Note..with updates..that way they will know that u hav noticed them.

*about the "views" thing..
Eachtime u open any thread..it will be counted in the "views".. So if u r refreashing the page, liking any post or chating with ur buddies.. These all activities too will increase the number of the "views" of that particular thread!

I do not intend to hurt anyone..and am sure that i didnt said anything that could be hurtful for anyone.
Hope i was able to express my self n convey my thoughts properly.

true dear...
writers and readers are equally important for a story...
and writers plz do think about the ones whoa re regularly commenting on ur threads...
just for the ones who dont comment u cant be hurting us and make it difficult to read the future updates...
once u have posted the story here, complete it here fully even when u are not satisfied with the comments and likes...
then open a new story in ur blog or wherever u want...
but once stared here and leaving it half or deleting is really so frustrating for regular readers...
coz once started end it here itself instead of shifting else where and its so difficult to stalk them...
unless its really so hectic or for any other reason u can do that blog but not for less readers and comments and likes...

Agree with your points dear..
It is a two way process..u need to understand others point of view too..
Writers should understand that readers can't always give big comments and one reader doesn't reads all the stories on geet forum so there is no point of comparing..and agree with maaneetmaahi's point too that some writers may take it personally when it comes to criticism.. Not everyone takes it easy...
And readers should understand too that writers are investing their precious time in it..so a like and few words of appreciation is the least we can do...
Now, for this show we love, for this forum that we consider as our second home..we need to compromise over some things...if all of them will leave, no one will be left here...

You are right!! And I would just like to tell another thing as a reader!!! I in particular rarely start reading a story unless its completed or near completion!! Why? Because there was times when I had patiently been there for writers and commented only to find the stories discontinued!!! I am not blaming anyone but I fear that I will get interested in a story and then it will suddenly be discontinue leaving me yearning for it!!!
