Part 137

Geet came back to Maan. She adjusted herself at her previous place, wrapped within his arms and slept thinking about today's unexpected spending.

Alka was busy in kitchen for the adjustment for breakfast. Holding a bowl she came out when suddenly got surprise, when witnessed an unhoped scene before eyes. There was Yash, sitting on the head chair and he was staring straight. She paused in her way. Couldn't differentiate if she was waking or hallucinating? "Papa here? He didn't have been taking part in family meal from long time then suddenly why did he come?" questions was running inside her mind. The same happened with SD who had just walked out from her room and her steps paused in path. She looked toward Alka and Alka shook head. Both were highly surprised. At the same time Geet came down and she found yash there and her lips curved smile when her gaze met with Yash. His eyes were soft. It had no harshness like yesterday. Geet was extremely happy that finally she was able to make a change. Perhaps she could count this change in a win!

"I had thought that I'll be going to get here breakfast or should I come later!"

Looking at all being stood statue Yash spoke though he'd tried to keep his voice balanced, not to afraid them. Suddenly everyone startled as like they have been startled up from deep sleep. Alka hurried. She adjusted plate and SD served food. Both again came and stood near Yash, expecting that the dream will be bubbled off next second. yash's raised hand stopped when he felt two pairs of unmoved eyes unrolled over him. "Savitri why don't you sit and have food? Bahu, you too should sit. Today we'll have breakfast together"

It was very rare for SD that he asked her. She couldn't have hid her happiness. She looked at Alka who herself was equal happy that for the first time, she was called Bahu, by him and he had called them a family! It was a miracle.

"Yes Maa, Dadi, you both sit and let me do all rest work" Geet came front. She pushed chair for them and let them be settled properly. She served food in two plates and gestured them to eat.

"Where is Maan?" Yash asked.

No one had noticed yet about his absence. "Yes Geet where is he?" Alka too asked. Geet was not sure if he would come down or not. When she had left the room he was sleeping. After last night she couldn't be sure about his next action and so she wondered with what should reply. She looked at Yash. He could understand what would've happened. But he too wanted to know how he was?

"Actually Maa, he is slee..."

"Good morning Dadi!"

Suddenly Maan appeared. Geet saw he was looking fresh. Maan came and hugged SD and then to Alka then he shocked to find Yash. She looked at him and then toward Geet and found her smiling.

"Com'on son, sit and have your breakfast" Yash was looking in jolly mood. After a long he had find real happiness to spend time with family, which was his own. And it all because Geet had showed him mirror. The reality of relations which one gains by luck. After Geet leaving, strangely he was not angry but feeling light within chest. It seemed he had gained his melted heart back in body which had been frozen in years. After losing a son he had replace the fleshed heart into stoned one. He could feel no emotions, but today, he felt he too needed a shoulder to rest his head over it and eyes should cry. But he had no one beside. And then he realized what he had done with his life? Where did he brought it up where he was left alone even after owning a family? And then he decided, he will try to change himself. In past years not only he had lost his son but he had lost his family too and gave chance to his opposition to gain profit through this distance. But now he had to gather scattered possessions.

Maan wondered if he heard him right. Is he talking to him? He slowly pushed chair back and seated. He was counted equally surprised as others were excluding Geet who just had made a little prayer to God saying Him thanks. After serving to everyone Geet took her seat. They did breakfast in silence but in heart everyone was so happy and pleased. And somewhere they knew, it was only due to Geet's effort they are having this biggest treat.

"So Geet, when are you going back Delhi?"

Suddenly this question made all shocked. The pleasure a little moment before had arisen was going to vanish off. Geet looked him confused.

"You have your exams coming in next week. And I guess, you don't want to miss it. Do you?"

"What? Geet you've exams and you didn't tell me about it?" It was Maan's turn to be surprised. He asked leaving the spoon left in hand. Geet looked them timidly. She herself had forgotten about it but now, she had to reply.

"Wo actually.. But how did you come to know Dadaji?

"I don't think you have need to ask it to me" He said proudly. He said it was his duty to keep track of what's happening around Maan and about the people he meets.

"But how can I go?"

"No excuse Geet. You can't miss this exam. You should go back" Maan said.

"But how can I?" Geet tried to speak thinking they would need her here but no one listened her reason. Even SD and Alka forced her to take part in exam. Geet had no choice but to say yes and it was decided that day after tomorrow she'll be returning back.
