Maan came back and all was fine. Geet was feeling a bit weird now a days. She was looking at her neck in the mirror she had a red patch. Weird she thought she put some make up on it and wore a shawl. A week passed it just wouldn't heal. And now she even had a scaly patch on her lip (not going to much into this) Anyway keeping a long story short she went to the doctor for a check up the report was out when she came back she felt her whole world crumbling. She went straight to her room closed the door didn't even open the light.She trew herself on her bed and closed her eyes. How will she tell everyone tears streamed out of her eyes. She didn't know when she cried herself to sleep. She woke up when her mother walked into her room and told her to wake up as Maan's family was coming. Her mom walked away. Geet didn't feel like going downstairs. After a while she dragged herself downstairs and helped her mom acting like she was fine.
''Geet why are your eyes swollen, did you had a fight with Maan.''
''Nahi.''
''Phir.''
''Doctors report.''
''Haan I forgot what did he say.''
''Skin cancer.''
(skipping my parents reaction). Maan's family arrived. Geet was really quit unlike herself. Raj started talking about fixing Maneet's marriage date. Geet couldn't take it anymore she excused herself and went to her room.After she left Rano told them about the report. Maan went to Geet's room. Geet was sitting on her bed cuddled up behind her lappy. Maan came and sat next to her. He took the lappy from her and put it on the table. Geet didn't react.
''Hey you okay.''
''Haan what happened to me.''
''Mom told me about the reports.''
''Hmmm.''
''What did they say.''
''They weren't to positive.''
''Don't worry everything will be okay.''
''Hmmm.''
Maan took her hand in his.
''Won't you shove my hand away saying asian side.''
Maan tried laughing.Geet suddenly stood up.
''Maan I need some time alone could you please leave me alone for a while.''
''Geet talk about it tell me what your fearing don't bottle it inside you like that.''
''Maan I need some time alone, please.''
''Alright just now I am here when you need me.''

Maan side hugged her and left.Geet lay down on her bed and thought what she wanted to do now.Skin cancer she repeated in her head means she won't look the way she used to atleast not for a while who knows when she would cure or she would cure. Did she want Maan to marry such a girl who looked like that not only like that but whom he needed to take care of the whole time. No he deserved better. She needed to tell him to move on. He needed to stop worrying he needed to move on. No way she couldn't marry him. She sighed this was all to frustrating she just needed some time alone she opened her lappy and googled arround she needed to get away from here. She filled the form to study in Boston for a couple of weeks as a exchange student. Yeah she would trow all her energy in study as she didn't want to think about anything else. At night Maan texted her.

She sighed she closed her mobile without replying she needed some time alone. She needed time to hear her own mind thinking. She had gone into a shell locked herself from everyone she wouldn't reply to Maan or hand out with her friends the only thing she used to do was study.
She had her doc apointment today she arrived to her shock Maan was standing at the door of the hospital waiting for her, she had seen him after two whole weeks. She walked over to him.
''You here.''
''You thought I would let you go alone.''
''Mom,dad are here so I am not alone.''
''Still.''
''You don't have to do all this.''
''I know but I want to.''

They went inside the doc wasn't really positive about the healing of it. (again not going to much into this) Went the walked outside Geet was about to get in her parents car when Maan stopped her.
''Let me drop you I haven't talked to you for two weeks.''
''Nahi Maan I have assigments to make I have no time.''
''Geet I am only asking to drop you.''
''Maan another time.''
Rano jumped into the convo.
''Geet go with Maan.''
''No.''
''Geet I am not asking you I am telling you. You are going with maan and that's final.''

''Geet listen to your mom go.''
Geet walked with maan to the car.
''Why are you avoiding me you don't asnwer my messages, why are you behaving like that.''
''Cause I want to be alone away from everyone. I need my alone time.''
''Geet is this way to handle a problem I agree it ain't easy but acting like that won't solve it either, will it.''
''Maan you don't get it, this dissease is affecting my looks.''
''Geet I know you don't look the way you used to look but it's ok you will heal and get your own face back soon.''
''And what if that doesn't happen.''
''Don't think that way.''
''Hmmm.''
''Come let's have are lunch together.''
''Maan please just drop me home.''
''Geet please come with me I have really missed you.'''

They went for lunch Geet was quit all the time the doctors words kept running in her head. He just crashed the little hope she had. Maan was trying to make her laugh but it wasn't working she couldn't concetrate on anything he was saying. After the lunch he finally dropped her home. She went straight to her room, she needed to get her mind off all this. She didn't want to think about what the doc had said. She kept studying untill she dosed off that had become her dialy routine.
She came one day back from uni and saw her preparing a couple of dishes.
''Is someone coming.''
''Maan's family.''
''hmmm.''
Geet went straight to her room and hit her books as Always. She heard voices seems like they arrived. She closed her book and sighed she wans't in the mood to talk to anyone but it would be wrong staying up like this she would go downstairs stay for a while and then come back to her room. When Geet came downstairs they where dicsussing the wedding date had they lost it Geet thought. After greeting everyone she sat next to Rano waiting to get the oppurtunity to tell them she didn't wanna marry anymore. Mohinder looked at Geet.
''Beta we where thinking to fix you marriage after a couple of months.''
''Nahi I don't want the marriage to happen.
She said in one go.
''Geet yeh tum kya kehrhi ho.''
''Mom I just can't .''
''Geet please you can't stop living.''
''I am not trust me I know what I am doing.
''Champ (that's what Raj Khurana called Geet when she was low) your stronger then this will my champ give up this easly, without a fight.''
''No dad it's not about that it's just that. Dad just trust me it's better if me and Maan don't marry.''
''Champ if you worrying about the way you look then I can tell you that Maan's love isn't that shallow.''
''I know dad.''
''Then.''
''I just need time.''
Raj nodded while Geet went to her room she let her lights off closed the door and sink on the floor she cried her heart out. She was confused she didn't know what to do what not all different thought where crossing in her mind she didn't know for the first time in her life if she was making a mistake or not. She didn't even realise when her door opened and Maan sat next to her, she realsied when he took her into a hug she seprated herself from him and wiped her tears away.
''You okay.''
''Maan I am sorry but I don't want this marriage.''
''Geet why.''
''Cause I feel like I will be ruining your life. I don't want you to take care of me my whole life regardless of the fact you want it so don;t even think of telling me that. And most importantly I don't need to marry a girl who's face is ruined and not only my face. It's every where my neck my arms.''
''Geet Handa you won't decide anything for me.''
''Fine I won't but I can decide for myself and I am deciding I don't want to marry you.''
''Cool but you will even if I have to kidnap you.'''
''Maan I am serious.''
''Really cause you aren't making sense.''
''Maan try to udnerstand.''
''No Geet you try to understand this ain't one of your stupid hindi serials where break up happens cause of a illness get it. This is real life and my love isn't this weak that I will let you go at that time when you need me the most, If I would do that I would never have loved you.''
''Maan Please you will regret.''
''Not a word Geet I won't let you take my love away from me not after waiting for 6 years for you, get it.
Tears streamed from Geet's eyes. Maan took her into a hug. he kissed her head.
''Won't you push me away Miss aisian side.''
Geet laughed through her tears she was indeed Lucky to have him.
