Part 8
Geet house arrested,

Breej walks down the stairs and sees his full family in the hall, he thinks for a minute and rushes down, "Rachi," He yelled out angrily and all the members in the hall looked at him, "Rachi," He yelled again, "What happened Breej, you seems angry," Dhar ji asked and Rachi slowly came down from Geet's room, and stood in the stairs, "Rachi," Breej saw her and went and grabbed her hand and dragged her to the hall,

"Breej, what the hell are you doing," Dhar ji asked and Breej looked away, "Rachi will tell you," he said and turned to Rachi who was crying and shivering in fear, "Where is Geet?" He asked, and everyone looked at her, "where is Geet" he asked again, "Breej what is this, Geet is in her room, she is not feeling well so resting but what happened to you," Geet's mom asked shocked, "In her room," Breej smiled at her,

"Geet had fooled you off, she is not in her room, she is not anywhere here, she is in Amritsar," Breej yelled out, "Breej, what are you saying," Dhar ji asked and Breej turned towards him, "Dhar ji, I had warned you so many times, that don't pamper her and give her so much freedom like this, now see what she had done, she spoiled our pride," Breej said between his teeth, "Breej, how do you know this,"

"Dhar ji, my friend there saw Geet in the Amritsar," Breej said, "Rachi, what is he saying, did she go to Amritsar," Geet's mom asked Rachi and she nodded a yes, "Baba ji, what will I do, why did she go there, did she go to met her friend, and how did she go there" Geet's mom asked worried and feared, "No, don't worry she didn't go alone," Breej said and everyone looked at him again, "What do you mean by that Breej," Dhar ji asked turning serious now,

"Yes Dhar ji, she didn't go there alone, she went with Maan ji," Breej said, "What" Dhar ji asked shocked, "Yes Dhar ji, my friend saw Maan and Geet together there," Breej said, "Maan I don't believe this," Dhar ji said confused, " Dhar ji leave Maan, he is from city and there it may be common, but Geet, doesn't she knew how to behave," Breej said, Dhar ji thought for a minute and stood up, "Let them come back, "Dhar ji said as his anger raised up and went away,

"Pray that no one else should see them together, what if someone from Dev's family sees this, what will happen next," Breej said and went away and Geet mom sat there and started to cry, and Rachi rushed to her room, "Baba ji, save Geet di,"

"Hey speak up," Maan yelled at Geet and Geet looked at him not know how to react, Maan then lost his patience with her and pulled her hand and dragged her near to his Jeep, Geet just then realized what's happening, Maan stopped before the jeep and Looked at Geet, "Get in," Maan ordered and Geet looked at him and her anger raised up somehow,

"Get in," Maan yelled again, "No, Geet said as she saw him now with anger, Maan looked at her as this was the first time, Geet had said something this bold, "And leave my hand, who gave you the right to hold my hands, leave it," Geet said as she struggled to get herself free, and Maan was looking at her struggle, "Look here you," Maan said between his teeth, "Just get in, don't make me angry, you," Maan said as his anger raising up in his vein, "Geet," she said and Maan looked at her,

"My name is Geet," she said out of blue and Maan nodded, "I already knew that," Maan said, "But you never used it," Geet said still trying to free her hand, "Get in," Maan yelled, "What's your problem," Geet asked and Maan looked at her puzzled, "Why are you this rude, what did I do," Geet asked controlling her emotions, "Because I hate you," Maan said out aloud and Geet looked at him her eyes filling up, his words are so hurting, somewhere his words was so painful to accept,

Geet used her strength and pulled her hands from him hardly, "then just leave me alone, why do you care about what I do or where I go" Geet said and walked away from Maan but Maan went and held her by her arms and pulled her close shocking Geet a minute, "shut your mouth and come with me, or I am calling Breej," Maan said and Breej's name made Geet to silence and Maan pulled her by her arms and took her to his Jeep, "Get in," Maan said and Geet obeyed and Maan started his jeep,

"What am I doing, she is right, why couldn't I leave her alone, why did I think if I leave her here alone, she might get into some trouble, why am I feeling responsible for her safety, why, why," Maan thought irritated on himself, "Baba ji, what will happen now, if he takes me to my house, then everyone will know that I had been to Amritsar and Breej Veer ji," Geet thought as an fear surrounded her,

Geet jerked off as the jeep stopped and she looked around, and all she found was an empty road and forest on either side, "Damn," Maan hit the steering wheel and looked at Geet, who was looking at him with her wide big eyes, Maan then jumped from his Jeep and went and opened the front bonnet and checked something and closed it, "Damn it," He again kicked the Jeep tire, "What happened," Geet asked slowly looking at his frustrated face,

Maan looked at her and then turned around and took his mobile and made a call, "Hello, ya, everything is ok, I am on my way back but now my Jeep got some problem and I am struck in midst of the Amritsar road, send me an drive here." Maan said and cut the call and looked at his watch, it's 2.00 and the sun was burning their sweat, Maan took the water bottle and saw it was just half filled, and he opened the cap and went to drink it,

But stopped and turned to Geet who was looking down, "Hey," Maan's voice made her to look at him, "Here, drink it," Maan said as he gave the water bottle and Geet got it and drank a little and gave the bottle back to Maan, "Drink fully because we won't be reaching the village soon, and it's already 2," Maan said and Geet too felt the hungry in her stomach and so did as he said, Maan was standing on the road looking for some help,

"Baba ji, it's a nice chance, let's get away from him and go home somehow, so that I don't have to explain much, if I go with him, he will say everything and Veer ji will kill me," Geet thought and looked around and slowly got down from the jeep and rushed into the forest, Maan who turned around, saw Geet Missing, "what the," Maan thought and looked around, "Damn," Maan hit the jeep as he knew she must have been gone inside the forest,

"Hell with her, let her do what she wants, she will definitely get lost, and will stop somewhere crying, whatever it's her choice," Maan thought and stood there looking at the road, it's was just one minute, before Maan turn around and started running in the forest looking for Geet,

Geet was running for a long time just wanting to get away from Maan stopped after a long time, as she was so tired and can't run anymore, Geet held a tree and stood there breathing high and turned around, Maan was not there behind her, she smiled a bit, "Baba ji, I lost him," Geet thought and looked around and the reality slapped her hard, she don't know which way to go or which way she had come, all she can see was trees and trees and trees and nothing more, "I am lost," Geet thought,

Then Geet started to walk slowly and as long as she walks as long the path got longer and she can't see anything then trees, and she felt like she had been rounding the same place, so she took a small rock and wrote her name near the tree she stood and then she walked away and she did the same thing after every few yards as she wanted to make sure she was going in the right path, but she was so deep into the forest and also was walking deeper, not knowing the right direction,

Geet finally lost her strength and sat under a tree and she was feeling hungry, thirsty and tired and she closed her eyes for a while, but when she opened her eyes again, she freaked out, it seemed like evening, there was no heat of the sun and the wind was getting cooler and the lights was getting darker, "Baba ji, Rachi, Veer ji, how will I go now, I am lost, I am lost, I should not have run away like this, now, I am struck, Baba ji please help me," Geet said as her tears rolled down her eyes with her fear,

Geet started to walk slowly, and it was turning more dark, and Geet who was already scared of darkness, stopped near a tree and sat down and held her knees together and hid her face on her knees and started to cry hard, the fear of darkness and the fear that her family who would have know that she was missing and the thought about Breej and Rachi was making her cry more, Geet was hearing strange sounds and she held herself close and was shivering in fear,

Geet heart was beating high, suddenly Geet felt something on her shoulders and opened her eyes but she can't see anything clear with her teary eyes in the darkness, all she could see was an big shadow, and Geet started to scream out of fear, "please leave me, please, don't hurt me," Geet yelled up, "Geet," the loud voice which echoed in the silent darkness, made her frozen, it was Maan, "Geet, it me," Maan said again, holding her arms and took his mobile and turn the lights on, and Geet could now see him, kneed before her, and holding her arms,

Geet sudden felt a relief and an happiness and a feel of safety filled her heart to see him, She hover over him like a little kid and held him close and started to cry, "please take me home, please," she said crying up,

Maan who was so angry on her for letting him wander into the forest like this, and was burning up as he searched for her, Now calmed down seeing her pleading like a small child, his anger was washed away with her tears, he didn't held her back nor push her away, Maan could feel her shivering body, pressing hard against his body, Maan then stood up, pulling Geet with him, Geet was so weak and didn't even have the strength to stand, and also was tremble, she was still holding him tight around his neck,

Maan tried to pull her hold but she was holding him tight, Maan had no other go but to scoop her up in his arms, Geet kept her head near his heart and hid her face from the Darkness, holding him tight, Maan could feel her breathing touching his bare skin and he felt an shiver, he was so uncomfortable, holding her so close, his hands on her, her body pressing against him, but Geet was so conformable, she was feeling safe and protected,

Maan was seeing his mobile with much difficult for the right direction and walking slowly, the moon light was helping abit and he finally breathe with relief when he found the road, "God, thank you," He thought and walked slowly, Maan smiled big when he saw a pair of head lights running towards him, "Stop, hey stop," Maan shouted and it was a truck, "what happened ji," a guy asked as he stopped his truck, "my Jeep got struck, can you drop us on the way," Maan asked,

"Sure, sure, and the Girl looks so tired," the truck driver said and Maan thanked him and went behind and put Geet on the back of the truck and jumped up and went and sat near her, Geet was still freaked out and she held her hands around Maan's arms and kept her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes, Maan saw her pulling herself on to him, but he didn't feel the angry which he normal used to feel,

After a while, the truck stopped near a Dhaba, Maan stood up and pulled Geet with him and he jumped down from the truck, and let his hand to Geet, who caught it and got down, slowly, Maan walked her to the Dhaba and Made her sit outside and took his mobile and made a call, while Geet sat there, "ji, what do you like to eat," a boy asked Maan who was standing there, "Nothing," he said and turned to Geet, "hey, give something for that girl to eat," Maan said pointing towards her,

The boy nodded and went towards her and Maan saw her talking something to the boy and she stood up and went and stood near a tap and washed her face with the cold water and came and sat back, Geet was feeling much better now, the bright lights, people's loud talking, a Punjabi song playing in the Dhaba and the cold water made her feel herself and her fear was reduced so much, then the boy bought some Roti and Dhal to Geet and Geet as she was hungry had it fully,

And now she was fully aware and she was feeling fresh after her tummy was filled, Geet suddenly remember Maan and looked around, and he was standing there and Geet got up and went towards him, Geet can't believe that Maan had come for her and carried her and yet didn't yell at her till now, and sudden she felt embarrassed as she remember herself holding on to him as if she knew him for centuries and hovering on him,

Before she went near him a cab came and stood before Maan and Maan nodded at the cab and turned around and saw Geet staring at him, standing near, Maan went and opened the back door and looked at Geet and Geet understood and went and sat in and Maan too sat beside her, Geet don't know what to speak, so she kept Quiet and so as Maan, and they went towards Hosharpur.
