Karan Mehra of 'Yeh Rishta kya kehlata Hai' to Gurmeet Choudhary upset over Sachin Tendulkar's retirement
Mumbai: Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar who contributed a lot in making India proud across the globe, is going to say good bye to cricket that is very painful for his fans. Big screen to small screen actors are upset over Sachin's retirement.
Here, few actors of television share their thoughts on Tendulkar's retirement.
Anupriya Kapoor, "He is a living luminary. I would obviously miss watching him play. People worship him. All what I would like to say is that he has proved himself in his career and has contributed a lot to this country. As people have been saying, there is nothing left for the great batsman to achieve. And may the man hang his boots in style!! Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, you will indeed be missed!!"
Nia Sharma, "I am not a big cricket fan, but of what I feel is that people are not known because of our heritage but because of them being legends such as Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and Sachin Tendulkar. Even a new born baby today will know who Sachin Tendulkar is. I feel he has proved himself as an amazing cricketer and people will love him and he will always be remembered as a legendary cricketer."
Karan Mehra of "Yeh Rishta kya kehlata Hai" shared, "Sachin Tendulkar is a legend and this day had to come. He had to retire someday. All I can say is that I feel sad. Cricket would be different without him. Of course, there will be a new generation coming in and I am sure Sachin would be remembered as a legend and an idol. I don't think I would be watching cricket with that fervor and excitement with which I used to watch earlier with Sachin not being around."
Gurmeet Choudhary, who will be seen shaking legs in "Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa" quoted, "We have been watching Sachin Tendulkar from the time we were kiddos. It will be strange not to see him play. We have seen cricketers who are very aggressive on the field and I will surely miss his humble and down to earth person on the field."
Ragini Khanna, "He is a marvel. I am sure millions of fans must be disappointed to hear about his retirement but I think we should be happy also that we live in a generation where we witnessed such a legend. I am sure that after 10-15 years someone will get inspired and make a movie on Sachin Tendulkar (smiles)."
