She moved into the kitchen...to get some refreshments...followed by anu...her best friend from school days cum sisters nanad...anu waited patiently for geet to turn...knowing anu's presence geet did not turn...anu lost her cool and asked her....yeh sab kya hai geet...geet did'nt respond...

Anu asked her again ....tu kuch bolti kyun nahi hai...wahan teri zindagi ka faisla ho raha hai aur tujhe chai paani ki padi hai...anu turned geet with force and said...tu hamesha ki tarah chup nahi reh sakti...SILENCE IS NOT ALWAYS GOLDEN...tujhe bolna hoga......

Tears welled up in geet's eyes...she hugged anu and said ...Main kya karu anu mujhe kuch samajh nahi aa raha hai...ek taraf garv hai ...maine di ko vachan diya hai ki main garv ki dekhbaal karungi...aur doosri taraf maa hai......

Anu was about to say something...they heard garv crying...Get left from there saying ...mujhe garv ko doodh pilana hai......anu sighed...

Geet took the little one and went away from there not wanting to be a part of the discussion...which is going nowhere...

Dadi again said...dekha jasmeet...garv ko kitna lagao hai Geet se...Koi aur usse itna pyar nahi kar sakega...ek baar uss bache ke bare mein socho...tumhara damad ke liye hum ladki doodh sakte hain ...lekin kya bharosa ki woh garv ko pyar karegi...agar geet hai toh humein koi chinta nahi hai...iss umar mein hum kuch aur bardaash nahi kar sakte...hamari is bebasi ko samjho jasmeet... Hum tumhare saamne haath jodte hain jasmeet...yeh rishte ke liye maan jao.........

Aap Garv ke liye soch rahi hai jo abhi abhi paida hua jo kuch nahi jaanta ya samajhta...lekin mein Geet ke liye socha rahi hoon maaji...jo bachi nahi hai'......said Jasmeet...Dadi did'nt know what to say...

Finally dadi thought to give jasmeet some time to think over the matter and said Hum abhi ke liye jaa rahe hai jasmeet par hum tumhari aakhri faisle ka intezaar karenge...aur who tai karega hume aage kya karna hai Garv keliye ...she said with finality

She stood up and looked at her grandchildren and asked....Appko chalna nahi hai kya...

They both stood up...one with a sigh of relief and one annoyed...

Three of them went away from there...

Jasmeet sat there itself ...thinking about the game that fate is playing...

Geet was sitting in the balcony and watching the stars after having her dinner and putting garv to sleep...

Jasmeet came with Coffee for both of them...it is one of the things they commonly share ...Geet has many traits like jasmeet...All say geet is exact replica of jasmeet...which may be true...she is also shy natured girl like her...she could not voice her feelings just like her... she simply follows what her mother says...but if it comes about getting things for her mother or garv or any other family member she never hesitates to move ahead and get it... this is the main reason jasmeet came to geet to tell her things which she is unaware of and now the time has come to tell her everything...its now or never...it's a do or die situation for her...

Jasmeet said...Geet, aaj mein zindagi ka ek hakeekat batana chahti hoon...main nahi jaanti ki yeh chupakar maine sahi kiya ya galat...par jo mujhe sahi laga maine wohi kiya...Main hoshiyarpur ke rehne wale amritlal singh ki doosri beti hoon...meri ek badi behen thi... jo ab iss duniya mein nahi hai...aur ek bada bhai hai jo abhi bhi wahi rehta hai jinhe tum jaanti ho...rajveer, tere mamaji...Meri behen ki shaadi hoshiyaarpur ke hi rehnewale sukhvindar lal handa ji ke chote bte se hui...Mohinder Lal handa se...She suddenly heard the sound of breaking the cup...She looked at geet...who is very shocked with the revelation......
