Don't know what went wrong
Feels like a hundred years I
Still can't believe you're gone
So I'll stay up all night
With these bloodshot eyes
While these walls surround me with the story of our life
I feel so much better
Now that you're gone forever
I tell myself that I don't miss you at all
I'm not lying, denying that I feel so much better now
That you're gone forever - (c) Gone Forever
She sighed and moved the lock of hair from her daughter's face. She looked so much like him, his eyes and his features. The only thing she had about her was her lips, her nose and her skin but she definitely resembled her father.
It still pained, to think about him.
She returned her attention to her daughter who stirred in her arms. She caressed her hair, affectionately.
It all had started the day he called her saying the could not continue as a couple. He was wanted a break, a break for his career; to focus more attention. He also had confessed she was an obstacle in his life.
'More like he was cheating' she thought bitterly.
He also had said she was like a challenge when he saw her at Dev's wedding, a challenge he wanted to win. Literally, he meant she was boring, a waste of time. He still did not take more than five hours to find another woman, when her friend had called her, almost seven hours after their break-up, her friend has seen her with another girl and had wondered what had happened.
"Momma" her daughter croaked as she sat on her lap. "I am hungry" she whined as she rubbed her eyes sleepily.
She was violently jerked from her thoughts and stared at her beautiful daughter.
"Did you have sleep well?" she asked stroking her cheeks.
"Yes Momma, can I please have some pasta" her daughter asked as she snuggled closer to her.
Pasta
Another food that she shared in common with her father.
"Come on, Mia, let's get you some food" she smiled.

The whole town knew; Maan Khurana was visiting the town for some business matters. Sadly she still stalked him on the internet. He was now engaged with some Samira T. who was the daughter of some reputed business man. Rumours had it that they fell in love at first sight.
Three years later, she was not over him yet.
"Come on Mia, do you see some of your friends here?" she asked her daughter.
"No Momma, I only see Moni and she's so mean, she pushed the swing off me last time!" her daughter said indignantly and pouted. She should correct her grammar, she thought.
"Momma, look, there's the ice-cream man!" Mia shouted, racing to the vendor.
"Mia wait!" Geet called but her daughter was having none of it. She was an energetic two and a half year old.
She walked, quickening her pace to catch her daughter.
"Momma! I want an ice-cream" she whined and pouted looking at her mother.
"Mia..." Geet started but Mia hugged her legs and snuggled closer.
"One vanilla please".
She really had to work on being immune to her daughter's face.
Before she could even talk, Mia raced to the other part of the park with her ice-cream on her man and bumped on the person who was walking in front of her.
Geet sighed and run to catch her daughter.
The ice-cream had scattered on the man's shoes and Mia looked close to crying.
"I am so s-orry Sir!" Mia cried frantically staring at her ice-cream with teary-eyes.
Geet did not bother looking at the man and crouched to her daughter's level and patted her shoulders.
"What did we say Mia, about not talking to strangers" Geet reprimand.
"I am so sorry Sir; my daughter is quiet careless".
Then she heard a gasp that was followed by a murmur "your daughter, Geet?"
She froze, the same voice that had left her for 'wanting a break'.
Quickly her neck snapped to him. He was staring at her shocked.
He did not know, did he? No, he doesn't.
He still looked handsome than ever standing with his jeans and armani t-shirt. His eyes focusing on her, some emotions that she could not depicher and his hair the whole 'roll-out-of-the-bed' look.
Still handsome, she thought.
She grabbed her daughter's arm and wrapped her in her arms hiding her face from him.
"I did not know that you got married" he stated after some minutes of staring.
she did not reply.
"So you have a daughter?" he asked.
"Yeah I do" she whispered. It's yours imbecile!
"So you did not think to invite me on your wedding, huh?" he said arrogantly.
"I did not think it was important, considering how we separated" she spat angrily.
"Still angry Geet. Those years were definitely good to you. You're gorgeous" he breathed huskily.
Resist him, Resist him! her mind screamed.
She shivered. He smirked.
"Scared that you would run away with me if you had invited me" he said tauntingly.
She rolled her eyes at him and had almost forgotten about her daughter.
"Momma, who's he?" her daughter popped her head through her arms.
"A friend" she quickly answered as she saw Maan staring at her - their - daughter, his eyes widening every fraction of each second passing.
"What's your name?" he asked.
"Mia! Momma says that I am her gift from god! And this is Fifi" she said excitedly bringing a teddy bear for him to touch "...and I am two years old" she cried, smiling.
"She means, she's four" Geet added quickly, lying. She did not want Maan to know.
Confusion flashed through Maan as he stared at Mia who was staring at her mother, pouting.
"But Miss Tanya said I am two" she argued cutely.
"Sorry for your shoes, we have to go" Geet added breathless and turned to her heels.
Her heart was beating faster, her palms were sweating, she was feeling cold.
"Wait" his gruff voice stopped her.
She closed her eyes and continued to walk.
"Geet wait!" he screamed, louder this time. She stopped dead in her tracks.
Why was he screaming?!
"She's mine, isn't she?" he questioned her as he stood behind her and turned her to face him.
