PART 2

It had been a week since maan would go every day in evening to drop and pick mansi and would somehow get a glimpse of the girl who covered his mind most of the time in the day. He couldn't understand how he can be so much interested in a girl about whom he knows nothing other than her name.

He stood by his car waiting, just looking at her from far and trying to see the thing which differentiated her from other girls. Of course she was beautiful, so were others too... then why was he so much interested in knowing her he couldn't understand. Why was he even standing behind this tree at the moment he couldn't understand, or why he was doing the same thing since last week!!!

He thought he will get over her in a day or two but it seemed he couldn't detach himself from her so easily. Geet sat in the corner, her eyes could clearly see him hiding behind a tree, but she didn't understand why he would do that every day. Initially she thought he was worried about his niece that's why he waited like some other parents, but now it had been a week and still he is doing that.

She would have been worried about him lurking around here, if those chocolaty brown eyes wouldn't have made her feel the comfort that could take away your every pain. She bid bye to kids when the class got over and kept sitting in her place enjoying the cold wind that blew around, bringing that strong sweet smell of roses that were grown in the another corner of the garden.

She saw him going away taking mansi away with him, his eyes looking back at her, locking with hers for a second as he walked away.

It was another day and he was sulking in the mall as he waited for the clients to shut up and leave him alone. Of course he hated these boring files and these idiot clients on such a nice day, it was a cloudy day and he would have probably loved to spend it with a friend, or a girl friend, he smirked as he thought about geet, but then reverted back to his clients.

Finally after an hour they finalised the deal and left his all alone. He went around the mall looking around, and suddenly he caught a familiar figure sitting alone in a corner in McDonalds. He blinked his eyes twice to ensure he wasn't dreaming, but probably it seemed today was his lucky day.

Geet was waiting in McDonald for her elder sister and brother in law when she again felt those piercing gaze which were fixed on her since last few weeks. She looked up and saw him on the food counter ordering something. She immediately looked away and wondered why she felt him looking at her when he wasn't even glancing at her side.

Crazy!!! She thought she had gone and looked away outside the window as she glanced down at the moving city from the 14^th floor she was sitting. Suddenly she heard someone clearing his throat and looked up to see him standing in front of her. Her heart immediately started racing, so fast she wondered he would have heard the loud Dhak Dhak of her heart if he had been even an inch closer.

"excuse me, can I sit here, actually all the seats here are filled so, if you don't mind" maan said feigning innocence as if it was just a coincidence that he was standing there in front of her. "umm ok" geet said showing she doesn't cared, only she knew how much his presence makes her feel ticklish.

"remember me, maan singh khurana, mansi's uncle... we met in your class" he said after a second. She smiled nodding, "yes I do remember". "what were you doing here all alone???" he said as if he knew her since ages. "just waiting for my dii-jiju" geet replied to the point.

"oh waise I was here to meet a client. You know he was an old man in his sixties and he was such a boring person. You know how bored I was listening those figures and rules on such a bright day." He kept on going on and on as if he was talking to his friend while she sat there confused wondering why was he even telling her all this, when we don't even know each other.

He kept his burger in front of her and said, "comeon we both can share it... why are you sitting here all bland" she raised her eyes at him. "are we are friends na... itna to chalta hai"

"we are not friends... actually we don't even know each other apart our names" she retorted. "you know am maan, mansi's chachu... you are geet, her teacher and have a beautiful drawing skill. What more you wish to know???" he asked nonchalant at her words.

"Nothing, I don't talk to strangers and don't have snacks with them too" she said feigning attitude to him. He just chuckled hearing her attitude and said, "as you wish geet. Ha to what I was saying, its such a nice day or ye clients bhi na... I had said dev bhai to send me to some site on this weather atleast but he didn't heard. Ab tum hi bolo ye kya baat hui bhala" he said as if her words didn't even mattered to him.

"maine khan a I don't want to talk, then why are you.." but he cut her in mid as he said, "I didn't asked you to reply. You don't want to talk na but you didn't refuse to hear me" he said giving her a smile that made her miss a beat. She clutched her long skirt as she tried to control herself. She knew he was affecting her, a way no one ever did... but then how can she be affected like this for a person whom she doesn't even know.

For an hour they were talking, or rather he was talking while she just sat there hearing him talk nonsense while he didn't even cared whether she was even interested or not, because if she wasn't, she could have walked away, but no she kept sitting there hearing him, she didn't even once showed any symbol of her disinterest in his talk, he even noticed her nodding her head once in a while when she would be lost in his words.

After some time he saw a couple walking toward them. They came and looked at him in question and then at geet and asked about him. "I am maan, geet's friend" he replied before she could even reply. They looked at geet in shock and then at maan, but since geet didn't denied they accepted. He took his leave after a while, not before giving geet a wink.

Geet sat there confused, she couldn't understand his motive. If she would have been any normal girl then she could have thought that he was attracted to her or had any wrong thought about her, but she wasn't a girl any man would want as their partner, probably wouldn't even consider her if she would have been last person on this earth... then why was he doing all this with her.
