The Downpour... Part 55

Maan parked car in temple. Both ladies came out but Maan did not.

"Maan you also should come beta'

"Dadima you know I don't like going temple so please, don't force me!!'

SD knew how stubborn he was. She better left him there and went inside with Geet who was equal upset with his stubbornness. Earlier when Geet had not thought Maan will come here she had no choice but now when he was there, she wanted him to be with her and do rituals together. She knew it couldn't be possible when Dadi was there but still she wished.

"What happened Geet, what you thinking?' SD asked when saw Geet lost in thought. They were ascending stairs.

"Nothing Dadima, chaliye' she smiled and fasten her walks. Sd guessed looking her face that she must be upset with something. She also had been noticing Maan weird behaviour when geet was around.

"Something is not good!!' She was sure. She looked back to Maan who was still sitting in car but his attention was toward them. She got an idea.

"Ahhh Geet beta!!!!''

She whimpered attracting Geet attention and sat down on stair clutching her leg. Geet came running. "What happened Dadima, are you okay!!!' She was so worried when saw Maan also came running to them. He saw Dadi falling from far and rushed to her immediately. He supported Dadi holding her shoulder.

"Kya hua dadima!!!'

SD made painful face. "Don't know how my leg twisted beta. It's paining now I can't walk!!'

What the hell Geet where were you lost damnit!!! You should have been careful with her!!!!'

Maan became mad finding his grandmother in pain and he took off his anger on poor Geet. His attention was only on SD and he did not heed what he was saying her. Geet felt pang in her heart with his sharp words but then she understood he was right. She should have been more careful for Dadi more than loosing sense in her own thoughts.

Sd felt bad for Geet and she wanted to shout on Maan, but this time was not correct for doing this, she had to manage things between them and no place could be better than this divine place to bring them more together.

"Maan why are you shouting on her beta, what she did!! It was my fault only that did didn't see the stair properly and twisted my ankle!! Now you have to complete rituals. I can't do myself!!'

Maan realized what he did. He watched Geet who was silent but he could read her sadden face. He cursed himself for shouting on her knowing very well that she was not in fault.

"But Dadima, how i.. I mean I don't know how to…'' He said calmly.

"Don't worry Maan Geet will tell you everything' SD looked Geet and smiled. Geet nodded slightly. "Ji Dadi'

"Go Maan and do what she says'

Both Maan and Geet made Dadi sit in proper place and they both went inside to do prayer.

"I'm sorry Geet, I shouldn't have yelled on you!' He said while rituals. They gave their Puja- Thaal to priests and jointed hands before Goddess statue. Geet smiled inward hearing his apologizes she knew, he was regretting. That was enough to forget her every grief. But she did not show him that she had forgiven him already.

"And maybe he forgets his condition!!'' She thought. She decided to play smart. She glared him showing how much tempered she was and walked away.

"Geet listen!!' Maan followed. He held her hand stopping. "Geet suno to!!'

"Maan leave my hand everyone is looking us!!' She pulled hand and started walking in circle around statue Mnadap, jointing her hands. Maan also did same and started walking behind her.

"Geet at least listen me once sweetheart'', He whispered glimpsing around as if anyone heard him. Geet smiled hearing 'Sweetheart' she loved it but then managed her anger. She looked back and showed her big eyes. Maan gulped his saliva in alarm. He had almost forgotten his demand, just wanted to make her happy.

They completed prayer and priest came back to give them their plates. They greeted him and started coming back to SD who was enjoying her talk with random ladies when saw them returning back. Quickly she maintained her paining look holding her leg and whimpered every now and then.

"Dadima are you okay?' Geet asked keeping plate on floor. SD nodded. She smiled looking at Maan who was still looking tensed yet not so.

"Chale Dadi!' Geet said.

She supported Dadi to stand up when Maan remembered something. He excused himself saying had to make urgent call and went some far. He dialled a number.

"Hello raju (Driver)'

Raju- Yes sir, should I bring car now'

Maan- hmm and listen, dare you to say anything to Dadi that I had said you to stop car in mid way!!!'' He threatens him.

Maan had made plan to make Raju stop car on way telling dadi that they could not go ahead in it. So he could spend some more time with Geet without letting her realize.

He cut the call and looked to direction where Geet was looking very happy, chatting with dadi. He just wished to keep looking at her for whole life like this. He wished God to give him ability to keep her forever with him. "Amen'' He closed eyes in wish and then opened. He walked back to them.

Meanwhile Driver had come. They prepared to leave when suddenly Geet eyes fall on something in her plate.

"Dadima, what's this!! It's not mine!!'

SD saw and found a Tabiz in her plate. "Seems by mistake it came in your plate Geet.''

"You wait here Dadi I am going to ask panditji'' She took it and went inside. She asked priest. Priest surprised to see it in her things.

"Beta, if it is in your plate it means it's yours only. Think it as God gift Beta and keep with you or you can give someone else whom you love most and want his good for ever'

Geet nodded. She kept in with her bag and walked back to them. They came in parking. Dadi sat inside car. Geet though wanted to go with Maan but now it was her term to tease him. She walked toward Dadi. She knew he would not let her go back mansion and exactly happened same,

"Geet, where are you going? If you're not forgetting we should have been in meeting right now!! Now come fast we have to leave!!!' Maan did not want to show his defeat in front of Dadi, he said in his legal attitude but inward he was looking Geet with doe emoted eyes. Geet chuckled secretly along with SD who had their own respective reasons to be pleased. Geet maintained her intense expression and walked, straightway sat in his car. Maan also settled behind the wheel and drove off to KC.

Drive was silent. Maan had forgotten his anger and now had purpose to make Geet convince whereas Geet was happy that she had been successful to turn the table.
