The Downpour... Part 33

Geet was so happy to get her first income after coming Delhi. She excitedly called her parents and told them. In talk she also told that what mistake she did when had gone to meet Maan client. Her mother advised her to say sorry to that client personally. Geet liked this suggestion. She also thought for giving her a gift to apologize.

"Thanks Mama''

She cut the call and started thinking what should buy for gift. "After office I will go and search in market" she decided.

In evening Geet left few minutes before informing Ahsa that she had urgent work. Ahsa tried to know what it was but Geet did not tell. She dint want to disclose this secret to anyone that she is going to meet Maan clients, until everything gets settled. But she had one problem that did not know her address. She thought to ask Adi.

"Adi sir, can you tell me address of that client?''

"Who Geet?'' Adi was busy in files.

"Wo.. she had come office that day, the old lady''

ADi thought for while and then came to guess that she might refer to Savitri Devi because she was the only old lady who had visited office this week. "But why she is calling her client!!!'' he wondered.

"I think you are asking about Savitri Devi Geet, she is Maan sir .".

"client… I know sir. Can you give me her address please''

Adi gave KM addresses but when he asked the reason, Geet pleaded not to ask please'

Looking her cute baby face Adi agreed. He had already guessed that Maan had started feeling for Geet, so thought not to give more coverage on this Matter, thinking it can be their personal matter.

"Thank you so much, sir, and one more request sir, please don't tell Maan. I mean Maan sir. I will myself tell him everything''

Geet came out of office and took taxi and first decided to go Temple, as from first salary she wanted to buy Prasad than anything else and after Temple, she would go for shopping.

Maan was very excited with the Treat thing which he was going to have from Geet. He was thinking to spend little time with her. After office off he rushed to her cabin, to say her that he wanted treat today only but shocked, seeing office was empty. He searched for Asha , thinking Geet might be with her but saw she was leaving alone.

"Where is Geet?'' He worried, immediately called her. Geet was in temple at the time, her phone was in vibration, and she did not hear ring. Maan tried twice but till Geet comes out, it got disconnected. She caught taxi and sat inside and then checked her phone to see if have gotten any call.

"Three miss calls from Maan!!''

She got worried and called him back. Before she could say hello, Maan barked "Where you were Geet, why the hell you were not taking phone??? Do you have any idea how worried I had been!!!''

She shocked to hear him so tensed. "Maan I am in market, had come to buy something'' She said patiently.

Man calmed down hearing her thoroughly voice.

"But you should have at least inform me Geet''

"But I had informed Asha sir!!''

Maan could not force her to inform everything to him. Disappointingly he said " Where are you now, I'm coming to pick you''

Geet scared, thinking what if he comes to know that what she was going to do on his behind! She lied that her shopping was almost finished and now got taxi to go home back.

"Okay Geet, take care!!''

She nodded. Call been disconnected. Geet was though liked his care for her but somewhere had feared also as why he was giving her much attention, and then brushed off thinking they are friends now.

"And I'm new here so being a good friend he just wants to be sure if I'm fine here or not!!'' she agreed on this self made reason.

She did her shopping and bought a beautiful statute for dadi. She was very happy as it came in her budget also and now taking small poly bag of Prasad in one hand and in other holding a big box of statue she left toward KM.

Till she reached there, it started raining. Though she had umbrella in bag but no free hand to hold it.

"One min Bhaiya''

She made taxi stop and came out and paid him. She wore Dupatta like shawl, keeping little veil on head to be saved by rain, and managed both things in arms along with her bag she walked toward mansion with steady steps.

She was very nervous and her nervousness increased when guard stopped her on entrance. She said she had come from KC and showed her ID card. Guard called inside and after getting permission from mansion, he let Geet go in.

Her heart was badly thudding in anticipation thinking if she is doing right! Without asking Maan! Her hands and legs were numb due to nervousness. "But if I had informed him, he wouldn't have let me done this" she thought. She wanted to help him same like he had done for her many times.

"Babaji, please be with me''

She reached to portico and stopped on door. Her legs couldn't walk ahead when saw the vastness of mansion. Her eyes widen in wonder, is she looking it in real!!! The interior was just so ravishing and elegant. It was not less than any royal palace and she found herself so timid to go inside. She looked around and found gold and silver decorative items were increasing beauty of this place.

"How would I give this small gift to Ma'am!!!'' She felt cautious. "Will she take this?'' Her confidence was lacking down.

"Who are you?''

Suddenly she heard the lady voice echoed in immense hall. Her nervousness increased on extreme that almost stammering she replied back.

"Namaste Ma'am, my name is Geet. I work in KC'' Somehow she introduce herself.

"Geet!!' Dadi thought for a while "I have heard this name somewhere before also!!' she thought, then suddenly remembered she was the same girl who had come with Maan and also in office Maan was shouting on her. She smiled inward.

She looked Geet from up to down. Cladding in simple Anarkali suit, she was completely drenched, having veil on head and with very struggle, she was managing holding a big box along with her bags, she was looking very cute. "Girl is beautiful'' She thought.

"Come Beta, come inside''

Geet looked her wet and soaking dress and shoes. She denied coming in.

"No it's okay Ma'am. I am in hurry actually I just came to say sorry Ma'am for my mistake. I did break your statue and so have bought this for you''

She headed gift to Dadi.

It was big and wet also so Dadi called one servant to take it and made it open and found a beautiful God Ganesha statue inside. She liked it.

"It's lovely Beta''

Geet felt happy, she smiled.

"Now I'll go Ma'am!!''

"No you can't!!' Dadi stopped her. "I mean come inside Geet it's raining outside. You should wait till it stops''

"No Ma'am actually if I would not leave now it would become dark. So I think it would be better if I leave now''

Oh,, don't worry about it. I'll say my driver, he would drop you'' She said.

"And if not driver, then Maan is here to drop you!!'' She thought and chuckled naughtily. "Come!'

Geet couldn't deny. She removed her shoes on door and walked in barefoot

"O it's okay Beta you can have your shoes in. don't need to take it off!!''

"No Ma'am it's okay. Actually shoes has become dirty in rain !!''

She walked in and dadi said her come in living hall and tell to sit.

"But Ma'am..

"Call me Dadi Geet'' she said smiling.

"Dadi.. !!' Geet liked this lady. She nodded. Dadi saw her hesitation in sitting, she asked.

"Wo Dadima, my dress is drenched completely, sofa would also get wet''

"Don't worry for sofa Geet but yes, you will definitely catch cold if wouldn't change in dry one.'' Dadi thought for while and then decided to give her to wear Annie dress.

Geet overwhelm with her motherly gesture. Though she tried to deny but couldn't refuse this old lady order. A servant took her to Annie room to change.

Meanwhile Maan returned back.

He was in foul mood for not meeting Geet. He stooped on door looking at a pair of lady shoes. he asked Dadi.

Dadi, who has come?''

Dadi was just waiting for him to come, her nautanki started.

"Oh that's so good beta you came back. Actually my bahu has come to meet you''

"Whatt!!!!!''

Maan shocked …

Precap : "Geet Madam please walk with care, i have just wiped the floor" Servant left warning Geet but before she could understand anything her wet foot slipped on slippery floor and she pressed eyes tight waited to hit floor but suddenly felt touch of two strong arms and then smell of Maan made her open her eyes...
