The Downpour... Part 29

""Geet, I'm alright. You don't need to bother for me!!''

Maan words hit her heart. She stared him steadily but Maan ignored her, and left for meeting but he could not be in peace when saw the somber face of her. He knew she was genuinely worried for him "If you do worry for me Geet , why don't you accept it. Why you always make me feel that I impose myself on you''

With discomposed mind he walked it conference room.

Geet stared his retreating walk till he did not go disappear in hall and then came back in her cabin being upset. She was not sure what she was feeling. Is it's her own heart who was paining with his words or she was upset because Maan was not in peace' She could not categorized the reason of her distress.

She tried to concentrate in work but failed.

"Enough! I just can't work like this' She closed file in frustration." I need peace and until I see smile on his face, I just can't be in peace I know!' She had been feeling miserable since morning and now it had reached on extreme.

"I'll say him sorry.!!.. I know my words offended him and now it's me only, who should apologize for my behavior'' She stood up in excitement. "But how?? I never had done this before.. I mean''

She was very nervous how should please him.

"Idea.. ''

Hurriedly she took out a note paper and wrote sorry, made a sad smiley on it and folded. Happily she came to Maan cabin but it was locked.

"What to do now"

Upsettingly, she looked all around, everyone was busy and then she saw Adi. She rushed to him.

"Um.. Adi sir, where is Maan sir, he is not in cabin?''

Adi said Maan is in meeting and now he also leaving for there. Geet saw a file in his hand.

"Are you going to give this file to Maan sir?'

Adi nodded. Geet said that Maan had forgotten an important paper with her. "Can you please, give this envelope to him sir?''

"Ok Geet I'll do'

Happily she kept her note in file and gave Adi, he left for meeting. She came back in cabin, started walking back and fro in anticipation then suddenly, her eyes fell on a white envelop was kept on her desk.

"What's this?''

She went and picks it up and opened. It was her 100 rupees inside. She surprised to see it here and then saw, a letter also was there. She read,

"I hope, now you will not regret the unwanted moment which we shared accidentally, -- Maan''

She felt bad. For her, this unwanted moment was the most beautiful time she had ever lived in but it was her ethics which could not let her enjoy this happiness. The signs of sorrow started to come out from her eyes.

She looked out from glass door and saw Maan was descending from up. Hurriedly she wiped tears and hastened to him.

"Maan sir.'' She called from back, but before could reach him, Maan had entered in his cabin and closed door straightway, it made her hurt but she did not fail from her decision.

"No Geet, you would not cry now. If he is MSK then I am also Geet Handa, who never accepts failure and I will show you Mr. Stalker who I am!!!''

She took the whole bundle of papers and wrote 'I am sorry' on all. Taking them along with she went to his cabin and peeped around. No one was around. Steadily she slips a paper inside through little open space between floor and door and runs and hid and waited. No one came out from inside.

"Don't be upset Geet he wouldn't have noticed this time''

She again did same, slipped three papers together and again hid behind turning wall and peeped out. This time Maan came out and glared around, she hid properly and giggled.

"This time I'll not leave you Geet!!!''

Irritated Maan was waiting for next paper, posing near door, holding all notes in one hand and murmuring something in anger. And then he sees a paper was slowly crawling inside, immediately he opened door that made Geet jump in sudden and she tried to run but Maan was about to hold her hand quickly when Adi came from nowhere!! Geet escaped.

She reached her room and closed door behind and rested on it catching tough breaths. She smiled on her childishness then laughed, remembering Maan's angered face. Amazingly she was not scared looking him angry but enjoyed their little play. She didn't know from where this much enough audacity she had found in her that openly making him part of her childish game, that also without any fear.

"But why should I fear haan!!! If he is my friend then I can do anything to see him smiling again!!!''

She convinced herself with this immature logic and agreed too. After waiting for some minutes she again used her spy eye to see if Adi left or not and found Maan was going back in his cabin. By then it had been lunch break and everyone left and now Geet got better chance to venture her attempt.

She casually roamed in hall for some time to see, if anyone was there!! When found no one, she took a big bundle of papers and at once slipped inside. Maan was waiting for it, he was well prepared. As soon as he saw papers was being crept, without wasting time he tugged door and shouted with his full volume ' "Dare you Geet I…..''

"Dadimaa????'' His voice stuck halfway when saw his Dadi, instead of Geet, was stood there with widen, narrowed eyes and startled expressions.
