PART 1

I have no clue how long I have been sitting here after my whole world crashed with the revelation. It was dark outside maybe its already night. I took my phone and surfed through the contact list. Should i call Aarav? Will i be able to talk to him? I closed my eyes and threw the phone away. My mind is blank. What am i supposed to do now. I realized after all being alone never worth it. Was this my mistake? What will Aarav have to tell? Could i have prevented this from happening? Do i want to keep the baby? At the mention of the baby i caressed my flat stomach. I wanted a baby but not like this, i wanted it out of love not out of wed lock.

"You shouldn't have come this early baby" i whispered. The baby must be able to hear me. Of course its inside me. A part of me definitely excited with the life inside me after all i am human.

I couldn't imagine what turns my life took after i met him. Three months ago if you had told me that i will be pregnant with HIS child i would have laughed at you. But alas it is true now that i am knocked by Him, the player. Yes I am pregnant with Maan Singh Khuranna's kid.

Slowly my memory drifted to when i met him, very special day of my life. Four months ago.

FOUR MONTHS AGO

I looked at myself in the mirror for the nth time. I wanted to look the best after all its my engagement. I was wearing a peacock colored lehanga with diamond studded earring and matching necklace. My hands were adored by mehandi and bangles that made sweet sound along with my silver anklets.

" you look very pretty" i heard Nimrit aunty's voice from behind. I turned to give her a smile.

" you think? " i asked hesitant

" you shouldn't worry my son is already swept off his feet by her beauty " she said making me blush.

" you look pretty as well maybe uncle is getting luck today" i winked.

She walked towards me and held my chin making me face her.

" Your mother will be proud of you " she said

My mother. Very old sore topic. These 24 years i have only heard people talk about my mother, i haven't seen her though. She died five minutes later i was born. I have never experienced her love, i have no memories about her so talking about her throughout the years made me immune to the topic. I may not look as some emotionally weak belle, i can't mourn when i don't know how it feels to have her. Nimrit aunty has always been motherly figure and i have her picture in the name of mother in my heart, now she is going to be my mother-in-law as well.

" Am i witnessing a emotional scene ? " Kunal uncle said with a fake horror. Making us laugh.

He stood beside aunty and looked at me with pride filled eyes. I am happy that they care for me. If not for them i would have been in some orphanage all life begging to be loved.

" We should go down before my son gets restless " I heard kunal uncle say.

Aarav is only four years elder to me making him the best friend i could have. Uncle and aunty never forced us into any relationship though they secretly wished for us to be together. Aarav went to delhi for his training and we for the first time were separated by distance. We chatted almost every day he was like a mirror that knows everything about me so when he suggested marriage i didn't find a reason to decline. Till now we haven't shared anything as romantic as books and movies but we have no reason that objects our marriage. We do have love, different in its own way. We are still working on our relationship and sure to be in love before we get married after six months.

Uncle and aunty has gone down to greet the guests while i am searching for my best friend Megna to escort me down. She is a kind of girl who takes hours to get ready but damn its been 3 hours since i last saw her. I was told that she was seen in the room in the farthest corner and i was going there. I knocked twice and i heard someone say ' ummm'. Taking it as an invitation to enter the room I opened the door only to regret it the very moment. Such a horrible sight i have never seen in my life. I closed the door instantly mumbling sorry. Why is my breathing heavy? I couldn't see either of their faces but their position was disgusting. The girl was completely on him and their lips were glued together. They were so close for me to wonder which limb was whose. God this is my engagement not some s*** center. Where the hell is megha i had to look at some live p**n act because of her. Oh damn that girl was Megha. How can i forget that dress when we spent a whole day a mall and eventually came out with that dress that madam thought was 'ok'. Is this why she was early here? I felt like puking the scene is not going to get out of my head until i consult some psychiatrist.

My hand was still on the knob of the door and i felt it turning. Last thing i want to see is their flushed faces. I was about to walk away when i heard megha call my name. I turned to look at her with possible angry look. She pouted as if i caught her stealing a cake. God how can she pull up this innocent face after what happened.

" Meg you know what? I ll pass. You can go continue whatever you were doing and i ll pretend my best friend missed my enagement " i said raising my hands in air

" Geet sorry we were not planning to do that now" she said as if it that was going to make things ok.

" now?!" i raised my eyebrows

" we got carried away " she blushed.

Oh Kill me now. Another of Meg's fling. Can this girl get some standards and stop kissing every next man who calls her pretty. All these years i gave up on correcting her. But never ever caught her sucking some one's face. God why me?

After a minute i saw the man who i caught making out with my friend walk out with a grin. What? He has the nerves to grin after this. Why can't i find embarrassment in his face?

" liked the sight gorgeous? " he asked smirking.

I gave him a look as if he was some leech that i even regret to see. His face looked amused. You must be kidding. How can he act as if nothing happened.

" Whatever.Go to He!! " saying that i walked away ignoring megha's pleads.

I walked down the stairs smiling trying hard to keep the scene that i just witnessed off my mind. Aarav held out his hands for me and i took gracefully smiling. Megha tailed behind me and stood beside. Aarav's phone rang and from his talks i understood it was his best friend on the line who he wanted to introduce to me. Arav has spent about two years in Delhi training to be a part of a private intelligence force aided by government. And a year ago he became The respected Officer Kashyap. I was always awed by his interest for adventures when i have zero interest to risk my life. He was 16 when he declared that he want to be involved in saving people's life and uncle and aunty were more than happy to let him live his dreams. Aarav always talks about his friend who he met four years ago in a camp and how they both hit it off well. As far as i can remember he is the only close friend aarav has apart from me.

" So do i get to meet your friend today? " i asked.

" yeah. He is already here" Aarav said.

I was distracted by someone enquiring about my jewels when i Aarav called me.

" Geet this is my friend who i have been talking about Officer Khuranna aka Maan." Aarav said

No way this can't be true. Aarav cannot have such a third rated friend. He is the very man who i caught in the room with megha. The man who is not even a percent regretful about his act. The man who had the atrocity to mess with a girl who he met just now. God this can't be true. He can't be the officer Khuranna about who i had much respect from whatever aarav has told me.

" Hello gorgeous" he grinned. The same grin that makes me to want to puke.s

I didn't acknowledge his greeting i pulled Aarav to a side and gave him possible angry glare.

" what? " Aarav asked

" is he your friend? " i asked as if it is more difficult to believe then summer snow.

" why? " Aarav asked

I narrated the whole incident how i caught his so called friend with my best friend. Arav laughed hearing the story much to my annoyance.

" I can understand Geet. I know how Maan is. He is such a player but trust me he is good at heart and when you get to know him you will like him" he said

How can someone like him be worth of being a friend. As far as i know aarav he is not a kind that will like someone like Maan. How can they be friends? I will get to like someone like this player only if i lose all my memory about being good woman. I made a wired thinking face looking at aarav.

"God your fianc is so pretty can you give away her for me?" i heard the voice that i began to hate from the evening.

I glared at aarav for inviting his good for only one thing friend. He just shrugged. Maan stood beside Aarav looking at me as if i am some doll made of candy with amused look. I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Are you sure you want to marry him? He can be a bore" he said

" better than a player like you " i remarked

" Ahh... that hurts " he said placing his hands on his heart faking pain.

" Listen " i moved forward pointing my index finger at him " stay away from my friend okay? And yeah stay away from everyone i know "

" of course " he held my finger in his hand " i ll stay away from the entire world if you be mine " he said with a smirk

I made a baby face and looked at Aarav.

" easy guys " he said coming between me and Maan.

" Maan for god's sake don't mess with Geet. I won't tolerate if she is upset and Geet please ignore him. I don't want to be the poor man whose best friend and fianc get together. It sucks"

I looked at Aarav that meant 'better-chose-me-and-not-him' look and walked away.

"Lucky bud. She is 10 on 10 " i heard Maan say. I rolled my eyes.

Whatever he says i don't care for i have already decided to hate him. I wish ths is the last time i meet him.

I closed my eyes remembering the time when i hated him the most. What respect you will have for a man who you caught making out with your friend and then who tries to flirt with you next minute in spite of knowing that you are his friend's fiance. But as time passed i forgot that i even met someone like him until the Aarav took me to the party which i guess will regret for the rest of my life. The day when i lost my everything. The day reason for my present condition. The day reason for his baby inside me. The day reason for Maan walking over me today. The day reason that i hate myself. The day reason for i became pregnant with a player's kid.
