Two different things he was told and shown by two different people. Aisha isn't being all delusional and Sujal isn't all pragmatic when they dished out their respective perspectives.

Perspectives sometimes are born out of experiences. And experiences are based on fate. Had Maan be my friend and had I was watching his story through his perspective, I would have told him to do everything in his means like Aisha did, but I would have asked him to brace his heart for the worst.

I come from the same age group that you are writing about so I understand. I have seen the genius lot become entirely blind in relationships. I do not see it as a blunder. It is humane. What I was trying to tell through my above gibberish was that... I started feeling for Maan that had he been my friend I would have asked him to brace his heart because not often does such love be reciprocated.
