You never fail to amaze me with the finesse of your writings, Shika! Never! Simple things you've presented here, the things that almost all of us face, but in such a way that I can't help but marvel. 👏

The simplicity of this story lied in the bond that he shared with his Dadi, and in the way he hated a childhood nickname, and in the way he admired the woman.

There are a lot of people like his Dadi around us who believe in such stuff, and there are a lot like him who call it 'superstitious'. But at some point of time, for some person, for some reason, every one of us believes, and every one of us - who'll otherwise call it superstition - will give it a cover of just testing. In the end, it is a belief. Maano toh sab kuch hai, na maano toh kuch bhi nahin. I really liked the way his Dadi gave him that example of him liking two different sort if things at the same time. It is idiotic for us to see someone act in a particular way and make assumptions that they can not act in any other way.

Even though he was sarcastic with his Dadi about those two minutes, he ended up making a wish himself. Something that touched his heart - the sight of the girl - made him believe and even wish something... for her.

Thank you for sharing this Shika! Hope should never die because that's what keeps the world going. 🤗

This one line "Hope for all should never be dead"...says it all. I completely believe and stand by that line. I think in hard times, and all have them in their own little or big way, this "hope" helps you sail through. Never give up on HOPE...life will find a way. Thanx for the wonderful thought!
