Finally watched Maaneet!!!

I never watched Geet HSP, because I don't have Indian channel. But one day I was surfing online to find some Gurmeet acted serial (as I was watching his Punar Vivah online) and found Geet.

Trust me I watched 470 episode in 30 days, I was so glued with my laptop that my work, sleep, my hubby all was hampered, but it was worth while, I loved the serial and the characters of MSK, and Geet, dadi ma, Adi was unparalleled.. Awesome serial!!!

As I just finished watching last night, everything is so fresh in my mind, gives me goose bump.

Specially the first meeting of Geet and rude angry Maan.

Angry Maan, loving Maan, caring Maan, rude Maan...soft looking Geet, funny and talkative Geet, scary and crying Geet... and her DD each and every scene... I loved it so much...Best couple ever...

But I still have some question unanswered.. where was Dev's greedy sister who was with him from the beginning, and also living with him in Canada!

Where did Dadi ma go at the last few episode, she had a very important role in the family!!

Where was Saasha, Pinky, Manisha, Romeo? Instead there were all new staffs in the office!!!

However, I was very satisfied and enjoyed the serial very much, specially Mann Geet fighting and loving interactions..I wished Maan gets his memory back..

I wish and hope that as a popular series we will see Geet season 2. Keeping my finger crossed 👍🏼

maaneet fan...maaneet are always on my mind...on my bedroom wall their pic...my mobile wallpaper lapi..all and all...i luv to drool on maaneet...

i luve DD AND GC...they r the perfect.couple...ahhh..i loved everything about maaneet...although u have so many question...they all changed during those days where so many blah blahs were running on..lolzz...daadima missing..unfinished story...

AND THE IMPORTANT ONE..MAAN'S MEMORRYYY..

UUUGHHH I HATED THAT ONE...

Do read the wonderful ffs of maaneet , i am sure u can actually visualize them in each ff with different shades and storylines,
Hope so our second season of geet do come in future

I have the same case as you... watched it online once and got forever hooked and didn't know the difference between day and night after that. I watched the whole series few times... first with just Maaneet scenes on youtube then the entire episodes.

All the questions you asked are the loopholes the director left... along with some characters probably leaving the show. You forgot the girl Sameera who was mentioned briefly by Dadima when Maan is angry that Geet is staying at their outhouse (after the lovely Maaneet fighting night) and Dadima explains him not to make his hatred for Sameera affect his view on Geet... (something like that)

I have a few questions for you...
- How did you come to know about Gurmeet? According to me he gained popularity as a handsome hunk only after Geet. And if you don't watch PV, how else did you learn about him?
- How did you manage to watch it all in 30 days? Did your husband not think you were crazy?

Ok, now that you are in our Maaneet land... I wanted yo to introduce you to the wonderfu world of Maaneet stories. you will fall in love wit them all over again... guaranteed!

Oh Tarana, thanks for the link, obviously i'm going to go through the stories you recommended.

Sadly I never knew about Gurmeet before, as i'm living in Canada for long time and no time for watching any Hindi serial.

Somehow I started watching few serial online from 2012. Once I saw Gurmeet in PV, I was curious and read his biography and found about his popular show Geet... and then you know..

My husband totally thought I'm out of my mind, as I was going to bed at 3:00 AM in the morning, again started watching right after coming from work, weekends almost all day I'm with my laptop and headphones.

Ahh, now those are questions we've all asked in vain ;)

I believe that the actors playing a few of the side characters moved on to other shows. Anju Mahendru (Dadima) had started Ek Hazaaron Mein... by the time her character disappeared, I'm sure. I was disappointed that even a short cameo couldn't be arranged. Alas, it is what it is. The things you've mentioned are the same gripes I have, to be honest. I quite like that Sameera hadn't been addressed via her own storyline. It would have placed too much importance on the past.

The one thing I really hated was that Maan never got his memory back. I wrote a short piece on it to resolve my unhappiness about that plot line (shamelessly endorsing my own story, I know!); I wish the show had handled it a little better.

I think we've all been through a bad case of Geet-itis here and who can blame us, right? I happened to chance upon Geet a few years ago and went through a similar phase of no sleep too.

And now that you've found the fanfiction on this forum... well, I hope you don't miss sleep all that much ;) Welcome to the forum!
