No... those aren't the names of any new contestants entering the Jhalak competition! That's how the audiences felt after watching Drashti Dhami's performance on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, last night.

The theme was fusion, the dance styles were Argentine Tango and Contemporary, the song was "Jaadu Hai Nasha Hai", the choreographer was Salman and dancing to his tune was Drashti. The beautifully sensuous act garnered some wonderfully apt comments and criticisms from the judges; Remo D'Souza, Madhuri Dixit and Karan Johar.

It is quite the risqu task for an actress to do something other than what the audiences are so used to seeing. Drashti Dhami manages to balance out both like a pro! The actress currently appears on Colors TV's popular serial Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, where she plays the title role of a middle class girl, born and brought up under watchful eye of the movie industry and her journey towards becoming a superstar. On the show Drashti is majority of the time, seen on Indian and Indian traditional attires.

Unlike on Jhalak, where she was dressed to dance in a short simmering black dress. Though the act was few steps away from being perfect, given the steady improvements she has been making both on her dancing skills and the points, no doubt the fans will see her hogging the top spot in no time.

This season's Jhalak looks to be quite a tough competition for all the participants; especially with the likes of Lauren-Puneet and Shaan-Mariacha, already scoring full 30 marks. Don't forget to catch the every show Saturday and Sunday at 9pm, on Colors TV.
