Poor her she started craving for her maan seeing dev and meera together.
She completely shut herself.
So well said, at this stage death seemed easier 😕
They didnt let her go near the baby. This is all too much for this poor soul to bear. 😭
Dev's suggestion at last brought a ray of hope. 😊

wonderful updates ! the movie premrog and all the clippings I saw of brindavan widows came into mind while reading about her room... her food...the treatment meted out to her by the society...and finally her decision of moving to an ashram...! she felt becoming sati would have been a better option than leading this kind of life...without him...! but she is lucky... her inlaws are so supportive...understanding...wanted her to remarry...move on in life...would be wonderful to see her taking up studies again...

ohk I must say you are a phenomenal writer... your stories create an impact and frankly this is horrific and heartwrenching.. i felt goosebumps..

Recently there had been a movie named Kaksparsh in marathi... it had story that young gurl gets married(bal vivah) afta a time she gets her periods... they perform rituals for first night so that they can consummate... Bt the same night on the bed the groom dies.. and then her horiffic journey starts... her growing up.. Her desires(she sits outside the room of her nephew and listen to their naughty talks and moanin... which gives her some kinda solace.. infact in a scene the female actualy asks her niece who recently got married that what happens on 1st nite..what hav I missed) her agony.. Angst.. is so unbearable to wtch.. this story is set during pre independence

It gave me a very harsh insight of reality and after reading Sati m again tongue tied and baffled... Watchin that movie gave me sick feelin and had a negative impact on me... bt reading Sati made me accept the fact... today we have a happy life doesnt mean tomoro wil b the sem... There might be many geet round the globe... and tomoro any1 4m us can face the same situation but the only difference wil be we wud lead an independent life or many wud get remarried... thats the era difference and am glad we are in a better India today which has its horizons broadened

i think further studies will help geet alott
everyone wants her to move forward as maaneetian i dnt want that
geet moving forward in life with someone else
but as a girl i want her to move forward
