"Sati pratha" had been a brutal reality of Indian Society for a long time.Women were forced to burn alive with the dead bodies of their husbands.Even imagining this thing,sends shivers down my spine..Thank God,I am not born in that era...

This story reminded me of movie,i had watched few years ago..Movie was based on biased behaviour with "widows" in our society. They showed an "ashram"where widows are sent to live a dull and meaningless life after their husband's demise.They were given simple food only once in a day. There was a 70 years old widow in them who had come to aashram when she was 8.She spent her whole life in the aashram dreaming about the "laddu",she had tasted once in her life on her wedding,when she was only eight years old. Widows were not allowed to eat sweets even.

Another child widow came to aashram that year.. That old lady used to ask her,"whether she had eaten laddu??"."Does it taste same now???" etc etc. The little one was quite mischevious. She used to get out of the ashram stealthily.and one day she bought a "laddu" for that old lady from the market. Most heart wrenching scene was when the girl gave laddu to that old lady,she could not eat it.She kept looking at laddu in her hands and got a heart attack due to extreme happiness.She died with "laddu" in her hands...😭

Very good and strong concept...👍🏼

Though widows are not burned these days with their husbands but they are still not saved from "mean" and "taunting" words...

Hope we would get to see a strong "geet" in this story..😊

wow lovely emotional update.. te way geet saying she belongs to my maan was so lovely .. te way geet doing all te rirtuals and looking after dadi was so lovely.. so geet is getting to know abt my maan ki family and started to look after te business was so lovely.. will geet search dev and nt and bring my maan ki family together.. but still i have faith on babaji tat my maan is alive some were , and he will cum to his geet...i love te update so much
