Part 4
Still in Past
After her departure maan too picked up his bag and came home. He had to buy some books so he went into market. He was buying his book when her eyes fall on geet.
Geet was too engrossed in purchasing comics that she did not even glanced at maan who was also in same shop.
"Geet, jaldi kar. Warna main tera pani-puri khane ka plan cancel kar dungi"- an elder girl warned geet while coming toward the book shop.
"abhi aayi di"-geet said and then cribbed to her babaji-"babaji, mere ko to sare comics achhe lag rahe hain. Ab inme se main kise chunu?"
After this she closed her eye and started to shuffle all the comics which were in her hand and then picking up one she exclaimed to shopkeeper-"yeh wala."
Her di was talking to some elder lady so she started to hum a tune and was looking around when her eyes fall on maan and stopped there.
At this time maan came to know her name and watched her total different side which was bubbly and cheerful.
"To, tumhara naam geet hai?"-Maan asked her to which she responded with a nod. She glanced di who was still busy with that elder lady.
Maan thought whether to ask her about morning incident or not. Then decided against asking and said-" Mera naam to tum janti hi ho."- she replied with a nod again.
"Kya Tum sirf unse baat karti ho jo tumse baat nahi karte?"- Geet looked confused at that question Maan had asked it so that he can make her talk to him.
"Matlab??"- Geet asked at last not able to understand.
"Tum babaji se baat karti ho jabki wo kuch nahi bolte aur yaha main itne baar bola par tum kewal sar hila rahi ho ,to mujhe aisa laga"- Maan replied to her query.
"Nahi, main ajnabiyo se baat nahi karti"-Geet said while playing with end of her dupatta of salwar.
"To thik hai, hum dost ban jate hain"- Maan said forwarding his hand.
"aise kaise, main aapko jaanti bhi nahi"-Geet looked at maan's hand and then at him.
"dost ban jao, phir ek-dusre ko jaan bhi jayenge"-Maan was still insisting on becomig friend.
"ok friends"-geet took his forwarded hand in her hand.
After that day they meet regularly on the same place where they saw each other for the first time.
Later he came to know that her family behaves very badly with her and blames her for every bad happening with them and that's why she used to come there to weep. Her only support in her family was her di who come back home in evening after her tutions.
One day maan found geet in very sad mood. On asking he came to know that she is leaving india next day with her family by evening flight. Geet assured him that she will come back as soon as possible and bid bye.
But next day in evening Maan came to know that the flight by which geet was leaving crashed while taking off from airport.
