There was a visible happiness in Dadima's voice. But jasmeet was still in a dilemma… this was just too good to be true but then why should maa lie about something like this? Her own life stood in front of her…but she tried to think positive. May be she was wrong… but a fear still lurked within. Was Geet really expecting? She was happy..just too happy but then she was still scared..she didn't know why! May be she was scared as a mother? Even happiness had a fear within itself. She smiled and finished the call. Roops was all set to leave when she saw jasmeet sitting quietly, still not ready. She asked if she was worried about something. Jasmeet looked at roops and smiled a bit, "Geet is expecting,…"

She kept her fears to herself seeing roops squeal in happiness. She was literally jumping around the house. Finally this distance between Maan and Geet seemed to come to an end..or was it just the beginning? Jasmeet sighed and decided to concentrate on the happiness itself. She changed and both of them drove to km.

Dadima left Geet to rest and walked out to see the preparations. She had kept everything to a minimal..starting from decorations to the number of guests..hardly 3-4 people. She sat in her room…thinking of so many moments together with him..since the first day she had met him. he was one little boy who cried hiding in one corner… the boy who seemed to know the only person in his life—Geet…and the boy who grew up to be a charming lad who possessed the power to possess her…and make her a pauper from a princess. She looked at her condition and smiled… only he had the power…and he probably utilized it so very well. she caressed her tummy, "baby… you miss papa too na? even I do…"

She felt the corners of her eyes burn…. She recalled the way he pushed her away and banged the door shut on her face on the following morning after that night…it was all because he felt guilty..he regretted!!! He did it because he still loves anisha… she shut her eyes tight…why did it prick her so much? that thought hit her at the perfect place—she clutched the sheets tightly as a drop of tear fell on her lap..and then another….it was all because of anisha that she was here… for a moment she wished if anisha was never there in their lives at all!! It was just too painful….

She snapped open her eyes and her hands covered her mouth… reality struck! What was she even thinking? How could she think of anisha like that? She hated herself…how could she think like that??? what has become of her??? that sudden hatred was just too much to bear…that intensity..she had never ever felt it for anyone. It was momentary but it shook her entire being. What a wretch she was..thinking of anisha like that… she closed her eyes again and rested her head back, trying to calm herself… she was indeed a selfish person..anisha was right!!! she ould have probably cried when she heard the door of her room and a squealing roops literally jumped on her, hugging her tight, "ohh my god Geet…I love you…love you…love you sooo much…… ohh I still cant believe it..you are actually going to be a mummy.."

Geet smiled weakly, still wondering how did she knew about all this! She hugged roops back and asked, "how did you know?"

Roops waked her arm lightly and plonked herself beside her, "sabko pata hain stupid… even Aryan and prem ko bhi bata diya meine…awww I still cant believe am going to become a massi…"

[everyone knows stupid…. Even I told Aryan and prem….aww I still can't believe am going to be a massi…]

Geet just gave a smile…she was already very tired when she saw jasmeet barge into her room. She looked up to see her mother..who looked clearly angry. She was a bit scared with that look… and then Dadima followed. She looked worried as well. they had been having an argument over Geet and Maan's relationship..but jasmeet knew what was to come. She had faced this earlier..but she wanted to make sure Geet doesn't get hurt anymore.

Geet gave her a weak smile..trying not to show her any sadness on her face, "mumma…I missed you…"

She tried to get off the bed and hug her when jasmeet's words echoed throughout the room, "Geet..where is Maan?"

Geet sat there..wondering why was she asking something like this all of a sudden. Dadima tried to intervene, "beta…we can talk… Geet need's rest…"

Jasmeet sot her a glare which actually made her quiet. She marched angrily to Geet and shouted, "Maan kahan hain???"

[where is Maan?]

Roops stood up..she had never seen jasmeet this angry over anything. She saw Geet suddenly go quiet… like she herself was clueless about everything. she dare not speak anything at all now. jasmeet was irritated with Geet's silence, "Geet…am asking something…where is your husband? I need to speak to him right now.."

'husband'… Geet wondered what it really held for her! it was empty… totally empty. She dipped her head… shaking her head for a no. and why should she lie? Dadima just feared this. All these days she never asked where was Maan or when he was to come back…she said nothing..she kept everything to herself. She didn't even know where he was or how he was. Jasmeet got all the confirmation that she needed. She held Geet's shoulder and shook her, "you don't know??"

Geet trembled…she had never seen her mumma so hurt and so much in pain..she could read her emotions beyond anger. Her lashed blinked a couple of times, trying to hold back those tear but she couldn't. she had been missing Maan like anything..yet she never spoke up. Whom to speak..what to speak? She dipped her head low, yet again confirming her unawareness. Jasmeet pushed her away, "do you even realize Geet… you are expecting..and you don't know where your husband is? Do you even realize its HIS child that you are carrying…."

Dadima tried to stop jasmeet but she could hear none.

"bas ma..bahut ho gaya…. I can't see this anymore. am taking her with me..", she turned to Geet, "chalo mere saath…"

[that's it ma… its enough…. Come with me]

She held Geet by her arms and dragged her out. Geet was numb… jasmeet's words rang in her head…. What could she do now? she had probably lost all hopes..yet she wished him to come and take her away with him…how she wished!!!

Dadima followed them down the stairs, "jasmeet..beta ruk jaiye… you can't take Geet like this.. wo humari bahu hain… jasmeet stop…."

[jasmeet..beta please stop..you can't take Geet away like this.. she is out daughter-in-law…jasmeet stop..]

Jasmeet reached the hall and turned back, "why should I stop ma? I have had enough.. I will not tolerate this anymore…."

Dadima pleaded, "but ek baar tho Geet se pooch lijiye… we understand your concern..but Geet..she loves Maan….she wont be able to live without him"

[but at least ask Geet once… we understand your concern.. but Geet…she loves Maan…she wont be able to live without him…]

Jasmeet gave a sly smile, "so is she living right now…with him?"

Geet was just a mute spectator..she didn't know what was happening… but all that went in her mind that if he cared!!! Did he love her? she never asked anything from him.. and probably the only thing she had ever asked was love… and he was never there. Her baby.. she gulped down her emotions..totally unaware of the argument going on…!

Dadima was speechless… but then she could never let Geet go away like this. The kids came running but hid behind roops, seeing their choti nanima so angry. They never understood what was going on…but all they feared was their angel being taken away.

Dadima tried to defend, "Maan will be back in a few days jasmeet… I told you he is in the US…"

Jasmeet never even let her complete, "then how come Geet never knew this? Do you think he will keep on hurting her like this..and I will tolerate? He regrets all this already…For god's sake she is my daughter…"

"beta..please try to understand..he does love her… but he is a bit stupid not to realize what he really wants.."

Jasmeet gave a hysterical laughter, " stupid…arrey bewakoof the meri beti hain ma… jo us insaan ke liye pagal hain jise iski koi parwah hi nahi…. She is stupid enough to ruin her entire life… her happiness..and even her dignity…"

[stupid… arrey my daughter is a fool ma… she is crazy for a person who doesn't even seem to realize her presence… she is stupid enough to ruin her entire life… her happiness and her dignity…]

Dadima was left speechless once again…jasmeet was right!! Geet left everything and came back to Maan..and what did she get… regrets and pain? She still tried to stop jasmeet, who was taking Geet away, "beta..please ruk jaiye..geet…."

[beta..please stop…Geet…]

Jasmeet would hear none. She had asked Dadima everything about her and Maan the moment she stepped in, for she her motherly heart knew her daughter was in too much pain. She got all the confirmation when Geet never knew where Maan was. Her words were insulting.. yet it gave all the proofs that she needed. Er heart ached to see her daughter ruin her life like that… for Maan..whom she probably loved more than Geet. She heard Dadima's voice and stopped for a while, "Geet was happy with Aryan ma… they could have got married in a month had you not come back into her life… but I still say..my daughter is the most foolish person in this entire universe…" and walked out, dragging Geet away.

Dadima stood there shocked… Geet and Aryan to be married soon!!! What did jasmeet mean by that? she looked at roops… she even looked away from her and walked out. Dadima didn't want to believe anything.. the most important thing was to stop Geet.. the kids will also get alone now… they were witnessing something very painful at this time and she never liked that. but probably things were to happen in such a way. She ran out to the door and saw Geet walking away lifelessly. She felt chocked with emotions… and tried to call her one last time, "Geet…. "

She did turn around… only to see him stand in the shadows of the night…behind Dadima… shocked…numb!! He was back..and the first thing he wanted to see was Geet. He was about to enter when he saw jasmeet dragging Geet away… and she was to be married to Aryan..if he hadn't stepped in between??? Every single memory of that day flashed in front of his eyes… her wearing saree on her birthday…him finding her with Aryan that day in the mall… him pulling her and that hug… her meeting with kids… her urge to see Aryan before leaving to Delhi for him… everything hit him back so hard….the mere thought that she was going to be some one else's…. she never told him.. till date! She never ever ever mentioned anything about her life in those 5 years….it hurt him so bad..he didn't know why!!! He recalled vaguely seeing a ring slipping out of her fingers the last time they were in Mumbai… he had ignored it thinking something stupid.. was she engaged to Aryan? He never bothered to find out!!!

She looked at him…lovingly.. she was seeing him after a whole month after that night! He looked tired and stresses… and the full moon stood right behind him, scattering its light in that beautiful night sky… hers tears gave away her longing. She wanted to run into his arms and cry out loud..she had missed him so much…she wanted him to hide her in his embrace and take her away…very far away where no one could reach them.. she wanted to tell him their baby was coming to them very soon…she even wished him to at least stop her… and get her back into the house. She didn't want to go..she didn't want to part away from him..but that pain she saw in his eyes probably shattered her hopes once again!

He just stood there… he had always thought her as his… no matter what…no matter when.. and she was already someone else's… he hated it. how could she belong to some else…its his right to own her… its his right to possess her… and she was already aryan's… he couldn't believe his own intense emotions..but he hated everything! and the most important thing…why she never told him anything? Why? He had kept his entire past and present so clear in front of her… he had even felt guilty about hiding anisha's thing and had gone back to apologize…then why did she not tell him anything? He knew he loved her… and that was the end of everything thought of his. But such a big thing..he was unaware of all this while..he had hated Aryan for even touching Geet… and here… his heart ached with so much pain and his blood boiled… so many emotions all at once..and he hated it. he saw that longing in her eyes… but then he couldn't bear the fact that she was going to get married to someone else….he wanted to stop her…his heart wanted to stop her…but his anger didn't let him move. He was too hurt… and so was she…realizing he never moved..he never wanted her back!!!

Jasmeet made her sit in the car and drove off. Her fears were proved true..the only thing that came out of this relationship was only regrets. The fact that Geet never knew his whereabouts even after one whole month of togetherness…something jasmeet could never take it. she knew at the end, Geet will be hurt..and here she was..broken… dejected… yet keeping everything to herself. She held back her tears…she had seen Geet slipping into an unknown darkness that party night.. she couldn't have seen Geet going far away from her if Maan says anything... especially with this unexpected and 'unwanted' pregnancy. It was time she took some serious steps..she let Geet do whatever she wanted till date…hurting herself beyond she could bear and she needed to stop this. Geet had done the biggest mistake of her life.. and she had to break her free from this bond..else she didn't know what would happen to Geet.

Dadima cried..and the kids hugged her crying, "Dadima..mumma kahan chali gayi?"

[Dadima..where did mumma go away?]

Dia sobbed, "will she come back?"

Dadima didn't know where all this was heading. She turned around to see Maan standing there… all numb…motionless. She probably guessed he heard everything. she could see that pain on his face. She held his arm, "Maan..stop Geet beta…please.."

To her utter surprise..she saw him jerk her hand away and dash into the house. She wasn't sure what to do now. the kids were crying for Geet… and Maan..probably he went back to the cold ruthless person he was. Strange isn't it..how a moment can change your life forever! It was the most depressing time for the kids. Dadima took them to her room and tried to make them understand that Geet will come back..and that their papa will get them back… but they never stopped crying..and slept off without even having dinner. dadima was herself too depressed to even look for Maan.. her old age wasn't permitting her either. She sat there with the kids beside her… wondering Geet threw away all her happiness with aryan just for Maan.

He didn't know what he was feeling.. pain that he mistook Geet to be his and only his..or anger that she was engaged to Aryan… or the fact that she hid such a thing from him. he punished himself for breaking her hopes that he saw in her eyes… those beautiful eyes longing for him… crying for him… he didn't even realize when he fell down…screaming.. giving into the tiredness…he hated everything.. he hated this life… his parents left him.. anisha left him..and now even Geet isn't there!! Why was he always on the losing side? Why did everyone he loved moved away from him? this was too much to bear… for a moment he thought it was better to die rather than living like this… nothing seemed to fall in place..rather everything just slipping right away from his hands and he isn't able to stop it from happening. His fingers bled..his body ached… and his lashes grew heavy. He probably wanted a moment of peace… and suddenly death seemed to be the best option ever!!!

Jasmeet made her sit in her room and cupped her face. Tears rolled out of her eyes.. but Geet never flinched.

"Geet..tu theek tho hain? Baby kaisa hain?", she tried to smile in her tears.

[Geet..how are you? And hows baby?]

Geet looked at her blankly and took her hands and placed it in her tummy. Jasmeet looked at her pale face.. and then at her hand, "I can't believe meri beti itni badi ho gayi hain aaj…" and kissed her hands.

[I can't believe my daughter has grown up so much…]

She kissed Geet's forhead and fed her dinner with her own hands. but Geet's heart and soul were long gone to him… asking him why he never stopped her…does he still regret? Will he regret the baby as well then? Everything made her go deeper into a darkness she never knew that existed within her. she spoke minimal to everyone…with roops as well. the thought that he might regret the baby ate her within. She didn't know what to do..whom to speak to… or what to think!!!

He woke up early morning and found himself in the gym, lying down like that. he for a moment cursed himself for waking up alive… but then he saw his princesses running to him and hugging him tight. They cried seeing him like that..their mumma was not with them.. and Dadima… how much could she bear all alone? Maan hugged them tightly understanding their emotions. They were too small to understand anything… but he could relate to their pain. He hated himself all the more to have made his princesses see this day. He had vowed to give them all the happiness in this world…but seeing them crying like that..his pain deepened! He couldn't even bear to see them like that.
