No one knows my situation even the people that claimed to be with me, claimed to help me and claimed to guide me never understood me either. All they could see was Geet Handa, the helpless and the most pitied girl. What they couldn't see was Geet Handa, that was broken, the Geet Handa that tried to be strong despite being fallen down so many times. No.
Everyone forgot my situation and just remembered me as someone who went to jail. Only I know how I am keeping myself together, only I know what is buried deep inside me, only I know the emotions how I am keeping my emotions that are trying to resurface to break me.
Geet took a deep breath as she started at the closed door before her. The room contained the very emotion that she tried to bury. After that incident, she had vowed not to enter that room that containted all her memories but today her heart wants to enter that same room. Ever since yesterday, the talk about jail with the detective made me think about everything again.
All the relations that was once sacred to me were all wiped away. Now, only I remain and my daughter. This very room is very scary for me. I know once I open it I will be weak again maybe I need that. I feel so alone today and wish i could change the time and my fate but alas god never listed to me. He has destinted pain and misery in my life.
Geet was about to open the room door when she heard a loud noise coming from outside. Her dog, Korra, began jumping and barking waiting for Geet to open the main door. She was thankful her daughter Aminnah was fast asleep now.
"Down Korra. Look after Aminaah"
Geet pets her dog leading her toward the baby's room. The dog whimpers as she goes inside the door. Geet opens the main door to see a piano laying on her driveway as the movers try to pick it up. Not to mention, her driveway was also convered in broken glass from the tv. She looked around for the owner who was moving right next door to her house.
"Are you guys paid to move stuff or break stuff?"
"Sorry, ma'am we will clean your driveway befor we leave"
"See to it that you can"
Geet looked around for the owner again and saw him talking to move of the movers. Only his back was faced toward her so she couldn't see his face. Ignoring, she goes back inside the house and closes the door as soon as the owner turns around. Geet busies herself from working from home and attending to Aminaah. She can't trust anyone and the daycare was being sued by her lawyer. If there was one thing that Geet was passionate about that was justice and make sure no one goes through what she went through.
Geet leans back her chair closing her eyes as she goes back to the past.
"Geet ki bachi...come here..." (Geet runs around laughing while sticking out her tongue at the person chasing her)
"You will never catch me..I have much faster then you..." (Geet says as she doges the person and manages to throw whatever comes in her hand at him)
"ohh yeah..." (The guys jumps over the couch picking her up in her arms)
"aah bhaiya...leave me...am sorry..." (Geet laughs as she tries to wiggle herself out of his hold)
"Nope...i will let you go on one condition..."
"what's that..."
"You have to say I am the best and that you are a rotten egg"
"Never.." (Geet pinches his hand making him drop her on the ground. Geet gets up sticking her tongue out without looking at the pole in front of her..)
"Be careful" (Her brother yells in worry)
Geet comes out of her past as remembered her teenage life that was filled with happiness. She had never left a chance to annoy her father and her brothers. Everyone was so protective of her and made sure no one was there to hurt her but who knew the one protecting her made her life a living hell. She is here today because of them...What I that bad? Did I not deserve any happiness? Was I meant to be punished like this?
"Sir, what is your next plan?"
"Adi, haven't you heard about "patience is a virtue" saying? Everything will happen slowly and patiently. We can't just jump right in. Anyways, once Maan Singh Khurana puts his eyes on a prey nothing and noone can save them afterwards. For now, lets just enjoy the show."
Maan smiles as he looks at Geet's house. He knew she was inside and couldn't wait to see her. There were so many things about her that intrigued him. She was a mystery and he loved to solve mystery and riddles. She will be his special prize. Her tears and her destruction would be a bouns for him.
"Adi, have you found out how she was able to track her daugther down before?"
"yes, sir. She actually planted a chip inside her daugther."
"Hmm smart but am smarter. The tracking will only work if her daugther is within the same state. What if her daughter is out of the country? Then what will she do?" Maan laughs out loud thinking of possible ways to make her suffer.
It was a little after 8 when Geet was done cleaning the house when her door bell rang. Aminaah was in the corner playing with Koora. Geet opens the door and was shocked to see the person.
"You? What are you doing here?" (It was the same guy from the parking lot she had encountered yesterday)
"Ohh hey neighbor. I did not know you live here. I moved right next to your house. Anyway, I have brought a little cake for you to apologize for the incident in the morning."
"No thanks and please lets get one thing cleared don't try to talk to me again."
"Okay, point taken but please take this cake or else I would feel bad for today's incident and knowing the person I am, I won't stop bothering you until you accept my apology. So what say?" (He holds the cake in front of her with a smile. Geet looks at him and then at the cake)
"Like I said no thanks. Now, get off of my property."
Geet closes the door on his face. The man looks down at his cake and then at the door unable to understand what just happened.
"I don't think my cake is that bad" (he says to himself as he walks away while someone in the nearby person in a car looked at the turn of events)
"Sir, what are we waiting for?"
"The night...lets make a visit to this Handa tonight"
