Next part

The morning sun rose to witness the two souls intertwined into each other. Maan and Geet, they snuggled into each other as if it was the most casual thing of their daily lives. Maan was the first one to wake up. He smiles as he looked at his sleeping wife. He placed a gentle kiss on her forehead and a lingering kiss on her lips. He unwantedly unwind himself from her grasp and went to get ready. The morning had started and he had planned something for his wife. After making few calls, Maan settled himself on the table where his wife had made his breakfast.

Geet challo tum bhi chalo we are going to KM today he told her

Kya??? She asked surprise... then gobbled her breakfast in minutes as Maan gapped at her. She ran into their room and got ready. Meanwhile Maan finished his food. He had called Adhi and informed him that he would be taking the day off and he should be informed if there was something important.

Geet challe?? He asked her as he saw her waiting for him in the hall way. Excitement bubbling through her eyes

The drive to KM was filled with Geet's excitement. Not a word passed from her mouth but Maan could hear everything. The sound of her bangle as she arranged her sari thinking if she looked alright, the sound of her payal wondering if she was presentable, the way she shifted and fidgeted showing her impatiens told Maan what was going on in his wife's mind. As soon as they stopped in KM, Geet started struggling with the seat belt. Maan smiled. He got down and opened her door. He bent and released her. As soon as she got out of the car, he hugged her. Woosh that is how Geet felt when air left her lungs. She couldn't breathe. Actually she forgot to breathe... Breath Geet he whispered huskily in her ears making her blush furiously. Challo... saying he started moving forward. Geet followed Maan in a daze. She forgot everything. Where she was, who lived here, everything. All she remembered was she was following her Maan ji. Maan smirked at the effect he had on her. He mentally rejoiced at this. It definitely boosted his male ego but more than that he was happy that he was capable of making her stress free.

Geet bete Dadi called hugging her, that is when Geet came out of her daze. Her eyes widened and recognition flooded. She blushed and hugged Dadi.

Aap kese ho dadi? She asked a bit shy.

Bikul teek hai bete how are you??

Dev kese hai aur Samira? She enquired

Wo.. sab teek hai Dadi replied a bit disappointed Geet noticed that but Maan dint.

They started talking and Maan was on the phone with Adhi and other things. Time flew and it was time for lunch.

Dadi, Dev aur Samira are not at home? Maan asked after so long

Wo.. bete Dev is in his room but Samira has gone to her friends place Dadi said still not looking at him. Maan found it a bit strange but dint ponder more

Nakul go and call Dev for lunch Dadi instructed. In the next 15 minutes all were down for lunch.

So Dev how are you.. sub kesa chal raha hai? Maan asked

Tekk hai bhai Dev said not looking away from the plate. He just wanted to get over with the food and leave

Where is Samira? Geet asked. She dint want to ask but somehow she felt something was wrong

In her friends place he answered

Call her here no.

Geet don't interfere Maan told her in a stern voice. Maan dint want Geet to say anything in other people's lives

What wrong did she say Bhai? Huh? Dev suddenly busted but then looked down.. Sorry, I dint mean it saying he left the table

Sab teek hai na dadi.. what is happning??? Geet asked Dadi

Pata nahi bete.. Dev keeps drinking and Samira is never home. I don't know what to do with them anymore

Me bath karoon ga use.. don't worry dadi Maan said with a smile as he patted the old woman's hand. They all had their lunch in silence , immersed in their own thoughts

The sound of high heels clicking the floor woke Dev out of his alcohol induced sleep.

Oh so the princes returns home he slurred at her... may I ask kaha thi tum? he mocked at her

Samira kept quiet. She was testing the waters. Dev had never before talked this much to her..

Tell me woman why the hell did you destroy so many lives? Why Why? He yelled as he marched angrily towards her... Samira moved back quickly she was scared. This man looked mad, she knew such men were capable of anything.

Cos I knew that if I married him I would never be able to achieve what I wanted but now I want him... God I so want him she told him in an obsessive manner

Kabhi nahi Samira.. jabh thak me hun that will never happen. I'll go and tell Bhai abt all this and next moment you ll be out of our hair he said with a smirk

Oh I don't think so Dev.. she said walking towards him...

Shut up s**t saying he pushed her and was abt to open the door..

Dev knew this was a lost case. He closed his eyes and composed himself. He opened the door and left the room. He couldn't stand this woman for a minute longer...

Samira laughed evilly. But the games are not over Dev Kurrana. You'll pay for this.. she said to his back... she had few plans up her sleeves and it was time that she bought Maan and Geet back to KM back to her...
