Part 16

Maan was seeing her from upper floor, seeing her scare and impatience for him, for his being near her. He liked it. He had eyes on her every step. She was just two three steps far from him when he saw her skipping a step .. "Geet!!!'' He runs down and holds her hand before she could fall. She found herself in his secure arms, hearing his fasten heartbeats. She closed her eyes feeling his warmth. She rested her hand on his chest to feel his beats and smiled, feeling secure. She knew, now she had him to protect her from any fall and evil..

They wouldn't have come back in sense from their lost state if Maan cell wouldn't have made sound of its ringtone. It was of Dadi from mansion. Maan talked while Geet tried to compose herself. She was excessively surprised and thrilled to realize that how quickly and easily they came so close. She could not believe that within mere hours they travelled so far that now, they can dream about their future together, living in each other thoughts with dominance. She smiled in reflex of her thought which Maan saw, in dim blue light which was coming from his cell because, it had been complete dark there. He loved her mellowed smile which he knew, was for him and due to him only. He did not distract her, letting her do her act and he, acted as he was still engaged on phone. Looking her happy Maan felt extreme pleasure that was unnamed till now for him. It goes for few minutes until she felt his eyes on her and then she became more conscious with his presence and the mere inch distance between them, developed twirling sensation in her stomach. She turned her face to side, concealing from his pressing eyes. Maan smiled looking her act and knowing the very reason of it. The silence made place for few moments when Maan felt, it should be come on end now. He spoke..

"Geet Dadi had called. She was asking when, we're reaching home. So I think we should leave for now and if you want, tomorrow can come again.."

Geet also find this better instead of spending some more time with him, being this much slushy. She could not trust on her heart that when It would come out to show him, her secret thoughts. She nodded and they left, drove off back to Mansion.

When they reach there, it had been dinner time already. Dadi told them to get fresh and come soon for dinner. "Ji Dadi..'' Maan said and starting to ascended stairs to his room when heard, Geet footsteps going toward her room as well. He turned back, stopped on top stair-step, and saw her who already, was staring him with her cornered eyes. She stimulated finding his teasing eyes on her which she was doing secretly and almost runs to her room when collided to Dadi in a flash..

"Geet!! Kya kar rahi hai aap.. sambhal ke beta?'' Dadi spoke.

"I'm sorry Dadima.. '' Geet was embarrassed. She rushed to her room without missing a second more. Dadi shook her head giving a smile on her little act and left. Maan , who was watching all this from up, smiled .. "Pagali!!'' he gave a name to her little wify and withdrew to his room too.

On dining table,

All four were sitting and having their food silently. Maan was all the while, did not remove his eyes from her which was making her melt like an ice. She was feeling shivery under his teasing gaze and was not able to concentrate on her plate.

"Geet.. What happened Beta.. Why are you not eating?'' Dadi showed her concern looking Geet all silent and uneasy. She caressed Geet shoulder with tenderness "Are you missing your home Beta?'' Dadi meant about her husband..

The "Home'' word alarmed Geet and her eyes started melting, converting in water. The thought of her mother started to flash in her mind which, she had forgotten till now. She bowed her face down to hide her changed expression but, it had been quite late. Two persons had already witnessed her sadden face and felt bad for her.

Maan knew what she must be thinking about. He remembered the very first day after their marriage, that how she was scared and sitting alone in the room. And then all people and her own brother how severely behaved with her. Before today it never had mattered to him, he never had thought about the incident but today, at this present moment he could see a lack on Geet face. He did not notice it before that she could miss her home.. her own people.. her own life. A unknown, strange sadness filled his heart which was for her. The spoon he had taken for bite, kept it back in plate as it was feeling heavier than ever. He felt, his throat had been impeded due to unnamed emotion. He could not spend more minutes there looking Geet upset and stood up pushing chair back.

All surprised to see Maan leaving his dinner in mid. Again two people were witnessing the changed expression of his face but, they could not guess what the reason was.

"Maan what happened Beta?'' Dadi asked ..

"Nothing Dadima.. wo just remembered I need to make a urgent call.. " Maan replied

"Haan per dinner to kar lijiye''

"Dadi I'm already full.. I want to take rest. Wo subah jaldi nikalna hai.. office ke liye.. important meeting hai ..'' he made his sentence complete with collection of authentic words, by which he could convince Dadi and waited for her response.

"Alright Beta.. aap jaaiye. Good night. " Dadi said

"Good night Dadima'' Maan one last time looked Geet and left to his room. Geet who was looking all this with silence and confused mind, could not understand that what suddenly happened to him. "Kahi meri wajah se to..'' she thought that maybe he had seen her tears. "No but he was not looking angry.. then what happened to him!!'' she thought.

"Geet Beta..aap to khana khaaiye!'' Dadi patted Geet shoulder finding her all lost and looking toward stairway which Maan had used a few minutes before. Geet came back in sense but her heart was heavy. "How can I eat when he did not!!'' she thought.

"Actually Dadi.. I'm not feeling hungry!' she said. Dadi misunderstood it as she might be missing her family so did not force further. She nodded. "Thik hai Beta.. you go and take rest'' .. Geet left. Dadi also had finished her food so she left to her room leaving a person all alone there who was looking all this occurrences with watchful eyes and a snoop mind.

Precap : Maan comes to her room at night to see if she okay and found it empty.. he panicked "Where're you Geet"
