But then Maan pushes her away by breaking her heart instead of coming clean with the truth. Geet get's so heart broken and full of revenge. Then 2 years later (which makes it a total of 8 years since the accident) when Maan comes back to california because of dadi, he run into Geet at the beach (which was in the first chapter).</font>

No maan was not married to geet initially. The day he wanted to propose they got into a fight, Maan got drunk, and then the accident happened. They got married when they got stranded on the island, when maan did the khoon bhaari mang. Maan pushed her away because he was scared and a coward. He rather have geet love him, rather than hate him with the truth. And that's what he thought that if he told geet the truth she would hate him with all her heart. It was all an act from Maan's side. The two years later he did not want to get her back. Dadi brought him to california, and he never thought he would run into Geet at the beach. But Adi who has been trying to get maan and geet back together since the accident, this time teamed up with daadi, so that's why he brought Maan to the beach, and told Pinky to bring Geet as well.
