The first thing that this chapter pinpointed was the innocence and purity of a child's heart. How blissful it is to see the world with these innocence-tinted glasses and not have to grow up to understand the deeper realities! Miri is such a sweetheart, she wants to thank the elder brother for having security enforced for his own younger brother and grandmother, both of whom she has only known for a little time. But then again, this is the beauty of relationships made between hearts. 😳
Geet, on the other hand, is not oblivious to the strict security measures for two people who had been very comfortable in her own modest house and environment. I feel like saying this here:
'The tall walls of the palatial mansion barred them form the freshness of nature, and acted as a stop sign for the outer world, a world where people who cared for them, lived.'
Seeing the grandeur had Geet stepping back to become formal and reserved with Dev and Dadi, who didn't seem to belong to the same class as hers; and the difference in their classes was like two spheres that never overlap... And this is why Dev and Dadi didn't want to show her how rich they were earlier, in fear of getting another set of people who'll not be their true self with these two.
Maan's spontaneous recalling of Geet as Annapoorna made me laugh out loud! Though I'm glad he remembers her and was happy to eat the food thinking it was made by her! And he was punching the bag to get her out of his mind so I'm going to grab him by his shoulders and shake some not-so-common sense into him. 'You *shake* can do *shake* whatever *shake* you want to *shake* but you'll *shake* never *shake* ever *shake* be able to *shake* be successful *shake* in this!' 😆
Aah!! Sher aaya sher aaya! Bhaago bhaago! Waise I'm surprised Geet didn't relate the surname earlier. But there are lots of Khuranas out there, all of them not need to be related to be a Khurana! 😳
Dadi toh thodi si phatoo nikli! Apni jaan bacha kar bhaag gayi! Bad bad! Becaharey Dev ko phasa diya sher aur to-be sherni ke beech mein! 😆
I do believe that laughter lightens the environment of the house. It does affect the mood of the inhabitants and promotes a healthier living. Its effects last longer than its sound, I believe! 😊
Thank you for the PMing, Apa! Love this chapter, but love you more! Sorry to have kept you waiting this long. 🤗
